Digital Design Training Exocad Plovdiv and 3 Shape 2019 Crown Design process comparison

When starting with with Digital Design Training ask yourself which design software makes it easier for you? It does not matter if you are into Bar design, Smile design, Model Creator, Crown Design, Scanning, Wax up, Implant design, Screw retained crown workflow, Ti Base implant abutments, Trays for Implant Impression, or implants, you have to use design software that makes sit easier for you.
In this Digital Design Training video, I am comparing the 2 Digital Design Softwares ExoCad and 3Shape by designing the same case and time which one is faster and makes your life easier.

Thanks so much for your videos. I am learning a lot. I am designing some of my own but I need to hire an experienced exocad cdt. We do a lot of full arch implant dentistry. Where would you start finding potential candidates? Thanks. Dr. O

Thank you for the nice comment. Full Arch Implant designers are rare and difficult to find. I would use outsourcing services like Evident or FullContour. If you like we can take care of the design as well.

I use Exocad. Others might be more comfortable with 3Shape. Both are great software. 3shape has an awesome auto design feature for single units. Some milling machines work better with Exocad STLs. It depends to your situation.

Differences between zirkonzahn and exocad softwere?

Zirkonzhan's modelier is based off exocad. I heard they're going to make their own software some day.

Zirkonzahn is closed software, you have to buy everything. In exocad you can add tooth libraries if you have them. Zirkonzahn is actually same as exocad, just the interface is different UI and colors

Exocad... 3shape (in my opinion) lacks the freedom that exocad provides specially on difficult cases

That's actually very bad comparison. Best feature of 3Shape is the morphing tool. You set radius, grab or create a dot to move. You move exactly that radius or dot. This can be very difficult in Exocad, sometimes, I want to move exact area, not more not less, and it just doesn't work how I want to. You basically showed us the worst of 3shape and the best of Exocad

Great feedback Tony. You are correct. The latest Exocad version has a morphing tool as well which is unfortunately hidden. I should make a video about that.
