So if you can fit both on the build or get base damage from somewhere else, you will be cookin' Edit: it *is* mentioned in the video, I typed this comment RIGHT before he starts talking about it
You need a redo on this. Get the attack speed up high to where the animation for the shot ends before the pellets hit and it will build combo. You can also shoot a follow up shot without it draining the combo counter. Add heavy attack wind up speed if you want to spam the shot throughout the whole mission without tennokai!
@@RedSoul001 That was a bug that got patched genuinely like a year ago. Playing with Tennokai is honestly way more fun than using this thing exclusively as a bootleg Arca Plasmor anyway.
I love this thing with Kullervo. I can outsource crit chane onto him, the passive wind up speed and heavy attack efficiency makes tennokai not a must have, and his 4 allows for very fast combo build up.
Same for me but with lavos and status instead. Nothing quite like having a crit weapon now force proc corrosive, heat, or maybe gas if I'm feeling spicy
This fucking thing. Thiiiiiis fucking thing is my baby and I love it. This is probably the first time I've ever straight up made a Whole Build-- like, 100% of the loadout dedicated to pumping one weapon, and it feels so good. Voruna, Gloom over 4, Shroud of Dynar to get a massive crit damage multiplier and forced status and slash procs (you don't force slash on the projectile but you DO still have fixed 100% status so you force-proc a gigantic heat proc anyway), a Harold equivalent for idle status priming to make the weapon's Condition Overload scaling go through the roof without wasting space on elemental mods, Tennokai to passively mulch through crowds, Fangs of Raksh and the Heavy Efficiency passive to single out and obliterate VIP targets. This thing gets fucking GOOFY and I sincerely love it to death and back again, because Tennokai means you get to use equal parts Gun and Scythe instead of *just* spamming heavy attacks like Warframe Players like to do which completely turns a weapon braindead. it's so fucking fun I swear to god I have loaded into Steel Path missions to test minor build tweaks and just zoned out for a full 90 minutes.
Sounds like me with my Trumna. I wish I could love this weapon the same way. But I've never been able to make this thing work well (on higher level steel path, at least). I am not a fan of melee in Warframe (at least melee 3.0, I liked it back when we had pause combos) so I like to focus on the melee weapons that are more gun than melee. So naturally, I was excited for the Corufell. Once I built it, though, something felt... off.
@0Rosanna What about the Hate incarnon? I don't currently own the incarnon for it, but in the context of the Corufell (which I like for basically just being a third gun, but wish felt better to use without a bunch of bandaid "fixes" like combo and primers) what does the Hate incarnon have to do with it? (Sorry if that comes off as rude. it's not my intention. Seriously, just asking)
Discipline's Merit is much better than Opportunity's Reach for this weapon: You don't benefit from the range effects on Heavy attacks at all, and the shorter window is meaningless because it's trivial to get more windows. Also, because you complained about building combo, QUICKENING is much better than Gladiator Vice for that purpose, and you should probably look into running Drifting Contact and / or Dexterity arcanes for melee builds in general, even when you have Naramon.
Yeah, I run Discipline's Merit and Drifting Contact on just about every weapon where I wanna use Tennokai, which is quite a few. I also find it funny he modded for Corrosive when you can just bring a melee arcane for that and get a TON of Corrosive, which means you could instead mod for something else like Viral to get boosted damage from that, or just eschew additional elements entirely and just rely on PPP and/or CO (since CO is multiplicative with this you can run both it and PPP for bonkers damage) for a ton of raw damage.
Been wanting to do a funny build with the Corufell as a Crescent Rose styled idea and this looks like it'd be super neat with that in mind! Thanks for the super helpful video MC!
1:52 "CO is multiplicative": YES! YES! YES! "So we run that INSTEAD": NO! NO! NO! Lmao. Like, Mr. Ytb man sure achieved redemption on the end of the video where he puts both CO and PPP together, but for clarification CO being multiplicative means it is added as another multiplier on top of Base Damage buffs (like PPP, Vex Armor, Arachne, etc.), it isn't like old CO where it would multiply on top of itself. As a tip for a possible future video, Syam has the same scaling as Corufell, but it has 2 different projectiles on its heavt attack, the first is wide and small, the second is thin, tall but much stronger (IIRC thrice the damage), also the second is tall enough to sometimes land headshots
>achieved redemption on the end of the video where he puts both CO and PPP together He achieved redemption a little earlier when running CO together with Killing Blow, which is also a base damage mod
i love the corufell i renamed mine "crescent rose" and i roleplay as ruby with it as well as blinding my friends by going mirage using a wisp specter and then peppering the screen with golden white orbs
I've been running this with Archon Mod Citrine & a Corrupt Charge + Condi overload build and absolutely shredding. Fun fact you can actually get 2 Heavy Shots when you trigger the heavy attack, it doesn't cost combo and there is even like a 1/3 second in between where you can adjust your aim.
Dreamers wrath is really great with corufell, and makes blast go big boom. Edit: You can also run quickening instead of gladiator vice for more combo build up if that works better!
Another neat thing about Corufell is that it actually can build combo using the heavy attack! If you can hit an enemy from far enough away, the combo counter will actually allow you to start building combo after the drain stops! I used to love using this when I played on the Switch since motion controls made it really easy to line up those headshots, but I don't use it as much anymore ever since I switched over to the Steam Deck. The motion controls on it don't feel nearly as responsive, and it hurts to stop enjoying my favorite weapon...
If you want to stack combo against low level enemies, I would recommend infested brood mothers, as every hit on the little guys will stack combo. They're also good to use for stacking molt augmented, for similar reasons.
Made a tennookai corufell build like a week ago when looking for a melee for my wisp. Went for high range and coil horizon. You may want to try a condi/gas build. The results were ...blinding, but very effective at high enemy density. Also if your melee can shoot on HA, I strongly recommend discipline's merit. Doesn't matter if you miss a shot when you can fire every other second.
I feel like running Dreamers Wrath and dropping the Pressure Point for Sacrifical Steel could result in a significantly higher damage ceiling without dropping the damage floor by a substantial amount (especially considering you have Harold with you). Opportunity does make it more comfortable to use but if you are good at flicking, Dreamers Wrath will most likely out-perform it and running Sacrifical Steel will basically guarentee red crits with a high combo meter. But considering how much damage it deals with your setup, maximizing it kinda becomes pedantic.
i still like disciplines merit for tenno kai on weapons that need extra finangling to use it properly because you know when it triggers instead of rnging and then relying on reacting to the proc
If you're OK with losing some damage for more consistent Tennokai shots, You can always slot Dreamers Wrath into the non Exilus slots. AFAIK, they stack and arent exclusive to the Exilus slot.
I love the heavy scythe weapons because i always wanted a scythe in warframe but all the normal ones look to small and light when used by a frame. I just wish they had a good stance

Not sure how it interacts with tennokai but with a normal heavy attack build you can actually get 2 shots off without draining the counter. it’s got a 2 part heavy kind of the same as the quassus which really helps with stubborn enemies I also like pairing with the rauta for easy build up and priming
Just once I'd enjoy seeing a build for a fun melee that doesn't need to use another weapon as a bandaid... I mean primer, or have a heavy focus on 12x combo to function. This is why I don't use melee outside of the occasional Glaive prime throw. I really like the concept of the Corufell (and Hespar, but I'm still mad at the absolute bat shit insane low range that almost matchesthe god damn Karyst prime). But whenever I see people building melee these days, it's full armor stripe with a primer secondary and sentinel and a gimmicky 12x combo heavy attack.
