Twin khomaks were, and probably will still be, a sleeper weapon. Its been a pretty good weapon for at least a couple of years now its just always underlooked.
one of the prime users of arcane pistoleer as well, no need for much ammo mutation if you never lose the ammo lol
I've had one in my pocket for a long while, it's a really strong weapon, but suffers from ammo economy issues and spool up.
Yeah, I've been using it with my strun for a while. Might update some mods though.
Petition to make us choose an additional polarity IF a weapon requires a forma. Like the fact that this thing costs 3 forma yet has only 1 polarity is criminal

Why... Forma are so abundant and this is a decent weapon as shown in the video... I think a different build than he's got would be even better as well.

It's Actually *Banshee, Frost, Khora, Sevagoth, Nova, Lavos, etc.* Violence can Easily One Shot *Inaros* like he does with Other Warframe's ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you think about it, this is everything a single target Cascadia Empowered setup wants: High pellet count, high status chance, high fire rate, no care in the world about base damage. it is basically 750 * 3.1* 2.7* current pellet count (because this weapon works like the kohm, up to 5 pellets) * 10.67 DPS from Empowered alone. That is nearly 335 thousand damage per second from that arcane alone. Combine that with no armor and of course your enemies shall vaporize.
Edit: The correct value would be 115070 DPS, but the full math requires a spreadsheet to do efficiently.
To spare the details, it is 750 * an average of 14.379 procs per shot * 10.67 shots per second.

Yep, the 310% is divided evenly among the pellets to make it work just like a shotgun.
@@lookalike4805 What about frames with abilities that force procs? Do they force on every pellet? I don't know how that works. So like Saryn, with toxic lash and her venom dose augment? I don't use shotties enough to know, especially status shotties

I just want to say thanks from the bottom of my heart for this video and all of your insightful videos. You never fear going off the grain it seems and this is a weapon I wanted to work for years now and this has allowed me to make a weapons setup I can truly enjoy full bell subbed sir.
It's really nice that some older weapons or rough weapons are much nicer to use after all the new updates and stuff are added! Thanks for the helpful video MC!

Also I only recently built the twin kohmak myself (I made the mistake of selling the single kohmak a while back...), so it's great to see a really fun build for them.
...Though I personally will be sticking at 269% status for the memes.
This is one of those older weapons that always got a kick out of, but never got around to investing forma into. Because of the ammo economy. I've never sold them, though, and not just because of the crazy 3 forma needed to build them. They are fun to use, like most of those other Grineer bullet hoses! Man, now I want to dust them off and forma the crap out them...I need to think about it, but that might be mission when I log on tonight, lol. Damn you, Mr TH-cam-man!
I think what did it in the end was the introduction of green shards. Cascadia Empowered weapons in general have gotten so much stronger lately thanks to the ability to full strip again.

@@lookalike4805 With corrosive procs, I mean. Making high status, corrosive/heat or corrosive/cold competitive with slash, like back in the day.
Frame buffs have always come into play, and Kompressa etc. with Empowered have been strong since release (and absurdly so with external armor strip), but now they don't need *any* help.
Honestly, this beast is one of the best sleeper picks because of stuff like this. This has been one of my favorite secondaries in the game because of this for the longest time. From Pistoleer to Galvanized to Empowered builds, it really has ramped up as things have gone by. Appreciate you giving it another shot.

If you have it, arcane pistoleer is tailor made for a weapon like this where you want to stay firing continuously as long as you can
I would love to see Corrosive Builds tested without two Emerald Shards as well. Plus one final test with the Riven would be fun.
OK you convinced me to finally build the twin kohmak. Lucky i got 150 forma still.
the instant we got the galvanized mods that add the damage per status bonus to guns was the instant these things became good.

These are sleeper weapons along with Twin Rogga and Kohm, the ammo capacity blanket nerf hurt these weapons a lot. I've built Gauss and my Harrow with Energized munitions to solve said issues.
These are a ton of fun!! I've been using cucumber with it, but now I think I'll switch it over. Cucumber is still great, but also empowerd :)
I typically used these with Cucumber, but Empowered works pretty well here too.
i just got a full build on my kompressa yesterday (with the intention of using it as a primer). but then i tested it against the grineer and murmur and it was so good that i think im gonna be using it as my main room clearing weapon. i really love how strong status based weapons are rn, thx to the archon shards, as well as cascadia empowered and secondary encumber. what a time to be late game player in Warframe
They have always been a great primer because of the IPS.

personally these are one of my favorites, i like to pair it with secondary pistoleer for unlimted ammo, do that on say wisp for fire rate and it shreds. another option is lavos with his augment because he makes every single pellet apply status.
Like the single khomak better for less screen shake and faster reload- fun weapon!

I love the Kohm shotgun category, they're really fun with enough fire rate and multishot, loving my kuva kohm and twin kohmak
I still wanted to see the distance the riven would of gone
First time i started Railjack this one has been a go to, for some reason it deals relatively well with railjack enemies and the wind up is always amusing when it starts ratatatatat'in the whole magazine.
This build will go crazy on a non-melee kullervo, hydroid, mirage, and a nourish saryn.

This inspired me to revisit this weapon. Hilariously I already have a riven - for Reload Speed, Slash, and Status Chance... Basically both Stunning Speed and Carnis Stinger in one.

DE really needs to modify the UI for the kohm and kohmak weapons to specify that the status chance listed is BEFORE the weapon ramps up, as its the only weapon class in the game that still uses the old shotgun status spread where the more pellets you have, the less status you get per pellet as its spread between them.
The first few shots will have the status listed though, so it will immediately proc a bunch of status.

This looks like it would be VERY fun with arcane pistoleer… I’d love to see that with this weapon.
the thrax dropping an arcane is rare like 0.33% for all 15 arcanes so like a 5 % chance to even get one is pretty hard when they are so sparce in some missions.
also this would be super strong with dante i assume because he lowers the threshold for status procs so with 300 status chance on these and about 200 power strength using the bird 4th ability it would be like having ~1000% status chance
I built mine for super rate of fire, like the Kohm.
It basically turns into a lawnmower before you run out of ammo.
Also if you add Xata's Whisper to it, it just turns into complete nonsense.
You might be able to salvage the falloff with Zephyr's Tailwind augment. Combining the obscene status with her Tornadoes could be fun (TM).
i've been meaning to get them for mastery fodder, but now I will hold them near to my heart.(unlike the 10k plastids it takes to build them)
I love the train locomotion shotties, I got a riven for them a while ago "punch through, recoil down and status chance, -crit damage" and my clan mate wanted to get rid of it for endo, I HAD TO INTERVENE, mah dudes for any other weapon or setup it would be an absolute garbage roll, but for empowered shenanigans its solves the lack of consistent multi target clears and frees the exilus for mutation.
Imagine how insane this would be when using Arcane Pistoleer with it's 102% ammo efficiency for secondaries! I just wish the arcane's buff was able to be refreshed while active instead of having to wait for it to drop before you can proc it again
ya these weapons ive always found good the moment you full strip the armor, even at 10 corrosive and max heat strip, most enemies armor reduce dmg by so much that it just destroys any dmg these kind of setups do
Finally, some respect being put onto this Weapon.
Now I want to see that with a banger of a riven xD
Now we just need melee weapons in both the grakata and kohm families so we can have full Kohmkata loadouts.

Who would have thought, if you build status on a weapon with an absurdly high status chance, it’ll do lots of damage? Honestly though, people still underestimate just how strong pure status builds are on any weapon that can get over 200% Status.
I'm gonna put this on my 300% duration Energized Munitions Gauss Prime build.
Fun fact, Thrax also a good arcane farm for Molts and Cascadia if you are looking for them. Also why their prices drop like a brick.... DE made things easier here tbh
I've been running that thing with secondary encumber and the primed crit mods in place of where you have the corrosive. It rivals the Laetum for DPS potential.
My only complaint, you are always reloading.
Pistoleer or energized munitions.
Throw on Arcane Pistoleer and Velocity and watch as it becomes a water hose of bullets
The kuva kohm is one of my favorite weapons in the game, so to see it's secondary lil bro do very good makes me very happy. I just wish the kuva twin kohmak existed so i didn't have to spend 3 forma to try this, i would so run this with yareli with fire rate augment and arcane pistoleer.
The only thing you could do to make that twin kohmak even better is have a source of viral from somewhere.. imagine all that damage you do getting buffed by +325%.

my favourite secondary weapon, however i have never been able to make aqcuisition from that particular mission... same thing with stropha, ive killed jackal hundreds of times. NRG can be a beach

i think instead of steady hands you could use reflex draw instead for more damage.
edit: stacks with twitch for 80 percent recoil reduction and more accuracy

I put rivens on my builds because I don't care if you replicate my build. I am role playing and sometimes you need one to make the build more like the character I'm doing.

I think your Inaros has 2 emerald shards with +2 corrosive procs cap, you are fully stripping armor with regular shots.
Ya know...only thing these wont work well on at the moment is the hollowed veins, cause for what ever reason they randomly become status immune during their "stand there spewing energy" mode
That's impressive. Can you do a "But Why" video for no Hornet Strike/Serration? Because I've noticed in a lot of you builds as of late haven't had them on.
If you like this you should try the alternox with pure corrosive and green shards, it does the same insta armo strip thing 😂

Maybe you should mess around with some of the Syndicate weapons. I've heard that Vaykor Hek is nice this time of year.

well, i think the strenght come from cascadia empowered, and the ridicules number of bullets/pellets these guns can throw out, still, great video.

5:00 wait you've never had a Steel Path Thrax drop an arcane? You sir should try Void Cascade (if you haven't by now). With a mod booster you can easily get 20+ arcanes to drop off the thrax in 30 minutes
