- A 15 minute time lapse video of a watercolor demonstration by Doris Ettlinger of a pink and a red poinsettia. Techniques on display include wet in wet application of rich color that allows the pigment to flow over the surface of the paper; wet on dry negative painting to bring out the form of the leaves and flower; and creating dynamic backgrounds by adding pure pigment to the still wet dark wash.
Pigments: Winsor Lemon, New Gamboge, Quinacridone Rose, Winsor Red, Winsor Blue, and Ultramarine.
Arches 140 lb CP.
Brushes: Escoda Aquario #10, and various size Silver Black Velvet brushes.
Original music by Ben McFadden.
Demo for the Musconetcong Watercolor Group. See our work on Facebook.

Are these all Windsor and newton watercolor?
The Ultramarine is Holbein. The Quinacridone Rose is Daniel Smith. The rest are Winsor & Newton.
I really like your paintings. Perhaps you might consider showing your process in real time?
