- Video 69 - I went to change my Euros at a real bank the GASPROM BANK...
at the real official rate - not the crap rate at the airport ....as to open an account and get a MIR card, the Russian Debit card... all of it on ''my'' MIRA PROSPECT (Ave) ... and I ventured into a shop I saw on my first walk... one with bread and things that looked good seen through the street window.... WELL SURPRISE.... SURPRISE... A very good friend of mine from New Jersey, she ofcourse knew New York very well had told me '' there is nothing like a Russia Deli in NY, if you want really really good food... Well THIS SHOP !!!! was such a Russian Deli, but a real one in MOSCOW .... and in the top class...
Re Banking... not a problem to change your Euros or Dollars... or opening an account and get a MIR card - piece of cake - so much for the sanctions... and all the crap you read and hear in DK, EU, UK and USA .... it's actually easier than in any other country I have been to... fast ... and everyone so helpful and so kind...

Well my dear, we all live different lives, under different conditions, but for me what has work throughout my 83 years is to do what I really want to do, that I find important and worthwhile, no matter what others say (or think)... that kept me healthy and happy.

The part of Moscow you chosen to live in is not very nice. Too many people, cars, noise, dust, gigantic roads. Better next time find a nice cozy place like near Baumanskaya metro or Kitai Gorod. Moscow is very different at places
thank you for your advice... I rather like the area of my hotel 2023 and 2024 parallel to Mira Prospsct... very green... and quiet... near VNDH metro.. but then I do not know any other areas... I like it quiet - green - near a metro station and not expensive... but also decent... ie room is cleaned, beds made EVERY DAY.... bathroom functional and does not smell.... and with summers hot need air con... I know you get what you pay for... but .... on the other hand 2023 I paid less and got more !!! My budget is shoe string... 2025 will spend lots of time in the Lenin Library 🙂....

Thank you for letting me know...I did myself think this one IS RATHER TOP... ie a gourmet shop... I was thrilled at what they had to offer... and came back to buy the BIG PIE.... to take along on a visit out of town... it was SO HEAVY... and cost 2.000 Rubles... which I reckon is RATHER EXPENSIVE.... but it was worth it every bite )))))

agree, been there... that city is scary, dirty etc.... full of rejected people, phsycos, druggies, criminals etc etc homeless of course... metro is super dirty, people are super unfriendly... etc etc ... same for Los Angeles... even back in 1984 when I visited first time... When I got to LA, wow there el writing looks like spagetti like in Somalia !!!
