- Hi guys! Thank you for watching this Rainbow Galaxy SPRAY PAINT ART.
In this spray painting i decided to paint this rainbow galaxy art over three pieces of gloss card.
Check out the end off the video to see how the rainbow glitter shines when hit with sunlight :)
I had to film this one in two stages has i was losing to much light half way thought the painting so i stop after finishing the planets and then carried on the day after when i had more light.
Also i am finding it hard at the moment filming it with the sounds of the spray cans added because of a lot of background noise :( Sorry about this,

Wow nice piece! Just wondering, are the circles you are using covered in wax paper? Whenever I try using something flat against the piece without letting it dry first it always sticks to the painting and ends up peeling the paint with it at the end. How did you get it to not stick?
Hi Andrew, Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment and the question it's much appreciated :) No there nothing on the card like wax or anything , you just have to play the waiting game when using stencils like this :( So the painting takes a lot longer to complete then it would if you were using something else as a stencil, Hope this helps.
What sort of poster board do you use and where do you get it from?? Class work yet again 👏🏼
Hi Carter, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this comment, feedback and question it's much appreciated :) I don't use poster board, there nothing called that where i live , i just use gloss coated card which i got from a site on the internet. hope this helps :)

No problem Carter happy to help :) I spent some time looking for sites that sold poster board but had no joy , so then went for the gloss card choice , which works well, Also yes i think that poster board is only available in america.

I have been trying to paint this but my stencils keep sticking.how do i stop that from happening? You taught me how to do any of this type of art by the way. Keep upthe good work!
Hi Qtip, Sorry for the late response, Thank you very much for watching and for taking the time to leave this comment, and the question, I really appreciate it :) To stop the stencils from sticking you have to wait for the paint to be dry before placing the stencils on so they don't stick. For this painting i had to do each planet at a time and wait for it to dry, it took a while to paint but i think it was worth it, hope this helps :)
How did u get the glitter effect at the very end was there a certain type of spray paint you used for that? Im currently working on a project and that would be a great touch

Did you use paper to cover de planets? I used it but it got stuck on the paint, so im curious how you did it and not get pieces paper on the planets

Hi Jeremy, no i have never tired waxing them, if i was going to do it live in front of people i would use plastic lids as stencils has there is a lot less that touches the paint then if you were using card cut stencils :)
