Huawei just tried to reinvent the wheel. There was no need to do this, it has just added to the cost of owning a Huawei. I've got a P30, do I really want to be spending another £70/£80 for a memory card? The answer is NO! I believe this will have will have just added to the difficulty Huawei is facing at the moment with the US sanctions.

My nano was working great.. Reached about 100gb on the 128gb card, Then all of a sudden, the phone said, card has been removed. Now the phone doesn't read it, laptop doesn't read it, bought a nano card reader, that doesn't read it! Shit.

Yes, they are indeed much more expensive than microSD cards. It's surprising how many people write to me that their card is bad or not working at all. It seems I was lucky, I've been using a 128 GB for several years.
The phone is not compatible with the micro SD card. A P30 only recognizes Huawei's own card with the NanoMemory Card. You can either insert two nanoSIM cards into the SIM tray or a SIM card and a NanoMemory Card.

P20 Lite is not compatible with the NanoMemory card. It uses a MicroSD card.
