what's the point of sticking to the class default armor? Mostly, I give sniper helmets to everyone, heavy body armor for the heavies (just so that they can jump), and Assault armor everywhere else.
The aim of a heavy with full heavy armor is so ridiculously bad, they are almost useless.

With my limited experience (~30 hours in), in the early game it's probably a great idea to go for the bonus accuracy (I actually did this myself), but now that most enemies have ranged weapons it's become a pretty large liability to have such low armor on their heads. The enemy seems to aim for these weak spots and I end up with nearly dead, disabled heads on troops all the time. As you might imagine I'm considering going back to the default Assault helmets!
I've started giving my Heavies a 2nd weapon too (rifles and shotguns, mostly) and it's made them a lot more movement and to get more properly placed shots now that I can move them 2 AP instead of just one, like usual.

At 0:23 this is one dead assault tho. You either strip armor first or go full Kylo Ben and point every gun at them pesky sirens. That reminds me good job on nerfing early sirens.

If I recall correctly (this was sometime ago I recorded this), that Siren appeared where she wasn't supposed to have appeared. But hey, Anu like getting "up close and personal" with the Pandorans, no? Seemed like an ideal to demonstrate that :D

I love you guys but christ, please consider changing up your music.
I get you sant a more depressing tone for your game but anything more dynamic would be better.
If you want an example: xcom, divinity orignal sin 1/2 (I know the settings are vastly different but the music is more energetic)

I didn't get the value of getting a secondary class for 50 points lol but now I definitely get it - gona wait til I have more class options though - my channel's playthrough is still very early game :p

@@PhoenixPointGame Hi! Since they didn't respond, I shall hijack the response with my own ideas! Muahaha!
      - If it hasn't been covered, I'd like to see videos on base management and building - when should I activate new bases? What should I build at those bases? How many research labs do I want? Do i need medical and living quarters at every base? Which bases should I make a priority of choosing first? etc.
      - It would also be nice to have some more tutorials recruiting new troops, such as how many you should have ready, where to keep them, how to transport them around (make / steal transports?), and even more in-depth with this, team/squad composition, etc.
      - Weapon damage / types! Piercing, Shred, stuff like that - I still don't really feel like I understand this well enough to make the best choices all the time. What's the best way to get through heavily armored enemies? Do laser weapons do more/different damage compared to the normal ballistic weapons? A detailed guide on this would be wonderful!
      - Finally, I wouldn't mind some detailed explanation on some skills! Such as ones that say like "Learn proficiency with heavy weapons with +20% accuracy, and 2 strength" Do you gain that 20% accuracy only with a heavy weapon equipped? When do I gain that 2 strength? It's hard to know when those bonuses apply! Though that's probably not enough to make a video about..

@@ARescueToaster You got it - we've had some of those on our radar for the future, but also would suggest taking a peek at our official wiki (wiki.phoenixpoint.com) as that may answer some of the nuts & bolts questions you have!

"The assault's main objective is to move in and clear out enemies" That's a funny way to spell "use onslaught on more deadly classes" Post midgame assaults are killing very few things by themselves, most shotguns become essentially useless as armor goes up into the 30's

    • @quesocoatl21
      @quesocoatl21 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Well that's why you multiclass them with armor break, give them Anu armor reducing weapons, and focus on getting out of LOS after popping a shot off.

Any idea what to do with those flamethrower carrying new jericho soldiers? Yesterday one of these guys lit up 3 of my soldiers in a single turn. Disabling all their limbs and body parts. Is there a way to mitigate fire damage?

I noticed in the *Year One* edition, that Sophia, from the tutorial, is in a male body in my play. Is that because I chose *Random Uniform* at the start?

I feel like it's important to emphasize the difficulty of precision firing a grenade.
Some games like the XCOM remakes with their 100% accurate grenade launchers lacked a lot of character.
Could now the grenade launchers easilly though to reduce variation in their landing site.
