Totally feeling the same about maps! Theres so many buildings and trees it's hard to shoot stuff out... I seriously hope that along with new maps they release all the old favourites of mw2 and cod4
I agree with Sandy! The maps are hardcore camping maps with all the added objects to hide behind, and the increase number of buildings people can run into. A player has to play really tactical and not run around like a mad man. I also agree that this game is a combination of MW2 and Black Ops. That was my first impression as well.
I played Survivor mode, and the first gun you get from dead enemies is the models. and they do work even up to like wave 18, so they are good if thats anything to go off of.
Things I noticed about MW3 is that AR's ADS time has been increased like LMG's ADS time, I don't quite like that but maybe they done it to make Quickdraw an effective perk for other than Snipers and LMGs. Other than that, I don't like maps, AR's damage at long range (seems like it takes 5 shots) and deathstreaks but other than that, it's a good game.
Definitely need more wide open maps, it was like the first thing I noticed once I'd played all the maps. The only decently open ones are Bakaara, Fallen & Outpost, definitely need to bring maps like Countdown back, or like a part 2 for Terminal, OMFG I love that map.
I'm sure you've heard already, but if you haven't the Striker is quite usable as well. Its not perfect, but its basically the same as in MW2, so its way better than the other MW3 shotguns.
the type 95 is basically the g11 when black ops was first released. one bursting people FERDAYZ and the hip fire is really good too. i love it though--one of my favorite guns to use.
Someone else who feels the same about the maps. Very few of the maps I really enjoy. For the most part they seem to be all about corners. They all seem to be CQB, instead of having a mixture of combat type that other CoD maps had.
Looking back on mw3 and the first thoughts on it and it's very similar to what people say about the new modern warfare now. People hide, they camp, they don't leave buildings, and if you rush you're just going to get clotheslined. Looking back though, i loved this game then and i love it now. Great killstreak system, great maps, a lot of great game modes introduced that made this game memorable. Especially infected. I definitely see the downfall of call of duty in this game though, people had hope in black ops 2 giving the franchise one more chance and now all the fans of back then are replaced with a completely new generation that plays on luck and there scufpack controllers.
I'm like a 75% rusher. Only way I would sit still and look at an entrance would be either if I knew people were coming or if it was protecting an objective
Hey, while in a Reaper zoom in to see the map better, it helps alot and it a really good killstreak. When you zoom in its easier to guide the missile and know where the people are
okay the reason the maps are like this is because ur kill streaks continue and if the maps were to be open u could just keep getting ur kill streaks over and over, but since the maps are closed its hard to get kills with ur kill streaks, if the maps were open, u could just sit in one spot call in a predator, attack heli and an ac130, then while ur in ur ac 130 u could just get an another predator, and continue from there... so its fair that the maps are closed and have a lot of building
You collect your thoughts very well. You're different from other commentators in that when something you want to point out happens on screen, you don't cut yourself off to talk about it (like some I know). You finish what you hve to say and you sum it up really well.
I relate so much to you. I'm 100% rusher, but kept getting killed. After a while of playing and starting to understand the game, you have to semi-camp to do decent.
I agree with, The maps suck for air support like ac130,I like the face that it's more gun on gun but it's like they put way to much cover for people to hide behind. And that wouldn't really work for small maps it's pretty fun but so many places for people to hide in..
going from the singleplayer (massive views and more battlefields and big streets) i got kindof claustrophobic in the MP maps, really getting shot from every angle possible. you need to travel WITH your team and outsmart the enemy and anticipate where they are coming from
type 95 i feel actually lives up to its stats XD its a powerfully and accurate 3 round bursts, it shouldnt take more then two rounds, but sometimes it does, i like the gun, but idk i have beef with stalker perk. when you have to deal with run and run situations, it 80% of the time gives the user the edge because they dont need to run at you, they can stay aimed down the sights and still be as fast as you..which kinda sucks
Striker with range, a grip, and steady aim is the best shotty combo. Works well with overkill and a Type 95 or some other good primary. Btw the reaper is garbo lol.
I made a MW3 spas video to show how inconsistent it is.. it gives ridiculous hitmarkers at close range. But it is a guaranteed kill if they are like right next to you. Best map for the Spas is probably Seatown but must have steady aim pro to get the quick aim for this very tight map.
I've noticed the same thing about rushing. It's unfortunate, but I'm hoping it's just a case of everyone trying to learn the maps and playing it more conservatively then the game itself being anti-rushing
Pretty much agreed on everything Sandy said. The Spas is so inconsistent in this game you'll get hitmarkers when a guy really close to you. I agree with IW decision to make shotguns primaries, but they needed to have the strength they did in MW2. There are a lot more buildings too in most maps.. so even when you get high killstreaks, they're useless when people are hiding inside buildings. That being said im still really enjoying the game.
Randy, you can zoom in with the reaper. Not sure how, but saw a video where they were zooming in, and able to direct the missile easier. Thumbs up so he can see!!
I guess they made the maps like that because in MW2 a lot of ppl ONLY camp until they get AC's and Choppers, because they are pretty well capable of winning a match.
@toffyd The other guy didn't understand what you were saying I guess. You do not have to die for your killstreak to reset. You earn a Pave Low as your highest killstreak, get 5 more kills without dying and you get a Predator Missile. It's fucking sweet.
I love MW 3, I like it better than all the past COD games overall, but like you said, the maps all revolve around buildings and corridors. I'd like to see some maps where you can put someone down farther than 50 feet in front of you
loving the commentary man,i dont have the game yet,but i see what u mean with the to many nooks and cranny's for them to hide in. Deff want some of the mw2 maps back
i rush perfectly fine in this game, ever since my first game ive been doing extremely well and winning almost every game. this is a rush game if u ask me.
Villaage and mission are completely open maps and are great for reapers and ac-130. Bakaara and interchange are decent too but not fully open. And hardhat is okay too
I've always been a battlefield fan. The only shooter games I ever owned were battlefield 1943, bad company 2, and bf3. But I seem to like team death match since its small maps, and I know all mw3 maps are small, so maybe I will like mw3. Who knows
if there was 3 map packs for MW3 and there was a CoD4 and MW2 map in each of them for me it would be Highrise, Invasion,Vacant, Bog, Backlot and Afghan
@lamp3tt It was the Sandy Ravage nerf. He broke the game that badly. Not because the gun was overpowered, but because he is. Next they will nerf Sandy's XBox directly, causing him to play on a constant 1 bar. This will cause his KD to drop to a measely 49/1. :D
the reaper looks really fun. You shot the projectile and control it to where ever you want it to hit in the square ? Dont have the game still debating if i should buy it or not.
The matchmaking system (not maps, just lobby area) feels like CoD4. The guns feel genuine with a few exceptions; but what gets me are the maps... They are large maps with TONS of flank points, but on a slower paced game, flanking isn't a viable option, so having those and cramped little areas for battle was a mistake. Furthermore, the maps have way too much going on, there are many maps that attention to detail on the smallest of rubble is added, but with all that, I cannot depict enemies...
if they put shipment in this game it will be amazing. if infinity ward and sledgehammer actually support the game post launch it will be good. the shotguns do need a buff.
@TheRealManWhoRocks That's the thing. People never really played MW2 on PC. At least not in the past couple of years. Before mw3/bf3 came out, I would go on mw2 and spend 10 minutes finding a match. People quit MW2 fast on PC, for whatever reason. And that's without the connection problems, because I don't actually mind tubers.
I do agree a lotta these maps are very cramp almost as if it was designed for shotgun/short range play yet the shotguns aren't that good, oh well growing pains I guess
black ops is way better than this!
And modern warfare 2 is infinitely better than bored ops
Totally feeling the same about maps! Theres so many buildings and trees it's hard to shoot stuff out... I seriously hope that along with new maps they release all the old favourites of mw2 and cod4
I agree with Sandy! The maps are hardcore camping maps with all the added objects to hide behind, and the increase number of buildings people can run into. Sandy, you can zoom in the reaper with I think LT. Can help quite a bit with aiming the laser, but kind of awkward to adjust to.
After you fire the missile from the reaper pull the left trigger. It gives you a zoomed in look-- makes it a hundred times easier.
Great commentary, It's good to hear from you Sandy. Exceptional gameplay like always.
It'll be a challenge reagarding the maps because it's all new. After a few weeks, you'll like most of the maps. I like the new twist on the maps.
I played Survivor mode, and the first gun you get from dead enemies is the models. and they do work even up to like wave 18, so they are good if thats anything to go off of.
Sandyravage had the best videos on mw2. His shotgun gameplay were by far the greatest on mw2.

Striker is good on hard hat, picked it up and went to work. Decent range with high fire rate. Play smart like you do and you will do well.
Maps to bring back in future mappacks:
MW2: Afghan, Highrise, Scrapyard, Subbase, Terminal; maybe Rust, Favela
CoD4: Bog, Countdown, Shipment, Showdown
The soundtrack to this game is really good. Once you look past the killing people part
I'm like a 75% rusher. Only way I would sit still and look at an entrance would be either if I knew people were coming or if it was protecting an objective
I once accidentily chose the default Striker class and went on like a 12 kill streak. Its a great weapon, especially with soh.
Hey, while in a Reaper zoom in to see the map better, it helps alot and it a really good killstreak. When you zoom in its easier to guide the missile and know where the people are

Lol, beer is one of the tags. Thanks for filling up my sub box too, Sandy. You'll always be my go-to videos.
@ratiocinator that might be true, and i appreciate you standing up him.
I relate so much to you. I'm 100% rusher, but kept getting killed. After a while of playing and starting to understand the game, you have to semi-camp to do decent.
I agree with,

hey man if you didnt know, you can zoom in with the reaper, and its actually a really nice killstreak i love it
Striker with range, a grip, and steady aim is the best shotty combo. Works well with overkill and a Type 95 or some other good primary. Btw the reaper is garbo lol.
totally agree this game is very submachine gun-oriented with the maps being so small and tight.
0:53 Refrigerators... haha! I was thinking of Chris Smoove :)
I made a MW3 spas video to show how inconsistent it is.. it gives ridiculous hitmarkers at close range. But it is a guaranteed kill if they are like right next to you. Best map for the Spas is probably Seatown but must have steady aim pro to get the quick aim for this very tight map.
I think you can press X to turn on the infared. It says press X for flir, flir is the black and white images you see in mw2's AC130
I never realised how much I like you as a commentator
I love the reaper dude.
Glad to finally see someone else besides me loved Bog
I've noticed the same thing about rushing. It's unfortunate, but I'm hoping it's just a case of everyone trying to learn the maps and playing it more conservatively then the game itself being anti-rushing

Sandy you can zoom in with the Reaper, helps quite a bit.
HELL YEAH SANDY!!!
Looking forward to your commentaries buddy!
if you hold down left trigger, the reaper zooms in so you can see if people are inside buildings or not
spas is delayed when you shot people they dont seem to die right away.
but that gun is not all that bad I was getting a few 30+ kill games with it.
@MrSgtTaters nice, i'm glad to hear that actually.
I guess they made the maps like that because in MW2 a lot of ppl ONLY camp until they get AC's and Choppers, because they are pretty well capable of winning a match.
@StrangersInTheLight Sandy's attitude and voice is too chill for you to understand.
Yo Sandy, hit X when you are in the AC130 and you can turn on the thermal camera. Easier to tell who is inside and who is outside.
@toffyd The other guy didn't understand what you were saying I guess. You do not have to die for your killstreak to reset. You earn a Pave Low as your highest killstreak, get 5 more kills without dying and you get a Predator Missile. It's fucking sweet.
this game with cod4 and mw2 maps would be almost perfection
I actually really enjoy your commentary.
i think the camping is just something that happens with the release of a new game theres really no avoiding that but i have a feeling it'll get better
That guy you got running up the stairs was a beast shot
I agree with the need for more open maps and a bit larger
I love MW 3, I like it better than all the past COD games overall, but like you said, the maps all revolve around buildings and corridors. I'd like to see some maps where you can put someone down farther than 50 feet in front of you
Totally agree about the maps! Cant say there is one map that i really like
There should be 10 MW2 Maps:
Favela, Highrise, Karachi, Quarry, Scrapyard, Skidrow, Terminal, Underpass, Wasteland and Sub Base!
its alright... love the type 95, the scar-l, the mp7, and the spas. your the best sandy! keep at it.
your the only commentator that can do half of a commentary and nobody complain lol
AGREED 110% on the maps, running sub and akimbo secs
loving the commentary man,i dont have the game yet,but i see what u mean with the to many nooks and cranny's for them to hide in. Deff want some of the mw2 maps back
savage the reaper dron is a laser guided missle wich you can shot any where move the crooshair when in the drone and it follows it.
4:47
Sandy Ravage: A new direction
Random Guy: BULLSHIT!
LOL
Im fine with the type 95. its the assasin+suppressor combo that grinds my gears
i rush perfectly fine in this game, ever since my first game ive been doing extremely well and winning almost every game. this is a rush game if u ask me.
i got on a 8 killstreak with the spas in demolition :) it is better than the other shotguns, but you need to get a little closer that usual
I totally agree with you. I'm not liking or disliking the maps and rushing has been made difficult.
Villaage and mission are completely open maps and are great for reapers and ac-130. Bakaara and interchange are decent too but not fully open. And hardhat is okay too
You stayed in that one spot for awhile though. I miss the famas as well.
One thing i miss from blackops was the playercard!!
I've always been a battlefield fan. The only shooter games I ever owned were battlefield 1943, bad company 2, and bf3. But I seem to like team death match since its small maps, and I know all mw3 maps are small, so maybe I will like mw3. Who knows
afghan, wasteland, highrise, countdown. would love those maps
Can't wait to play classic MW maps in this game.
If they added ability to destroy the buildings the reaper would be way more effective, at least for clearing cover.
if there was 3 map packs for MW3 and there was a CoD4 and MW2 map in each of them for me it would be Highrise, Invasion,Vacant, Bog, Backlot and Afghan
Good honest opinion mate, I find the stryker a good shotgun in this COD though
I never thought I would say this, but they REALLY need o give the shotguns a big power boost
All maps from mw2 in one map pack. I'll definitly buy that
Excellent commentary Sandy! Seriously everything you said is pure truth.!
I agree. This game nerfs rushers pretty bad. It's good but I do like to rush. I might still pop in MW2 just so I can rush that fun way.
The battlefield of Little Big Horn was open, they should add that.
8:03, its Ms. Sandy Ravage AGAIN!!!!
My suggestion: use the specialist package. It seems ideal for an individual of your skill level.
This kind of reminds me of Chinatown from CoD4.
I have yet to use the Type 95. It looks good, and I've heard it's pretty awesome.
"Bullets firing magically from their foreheads" :D
ADS with the Reaper. Might help out. I am fairly sure it's LT/L2 for the ADS with Reaper
if they put shipment in this game it will be amazing. if infinity ward and sledgehammer actually support the game post launch it will be good. the shotguns do need a buff.
sandy if you use the left trigger u can zoom in with the reaper
try switching to thermal with x button when you use the reaper you can do that with the AC-130
@TheRealManWhoRocks
That's the thing. People never really played MW2 on PC. At least not in the past couple of years. Before mw3/bf3 came out, I would go on mw2 and spend 10 minutes finding a match. People quit MW2 fast on PC, for whatever reason.
And that's without the connection problems, because I don't actually mind tubers.
can you choose which kill streak you wanna use first?
Best shotgun ive used so far is the striker, only one worth using (that ive unlocked)...
I do agree a lotta these maps are very cramp almost as if it was designed for shotgun/short range play yet the shotguns aren't that good, oh well growing pains I guess
Village is possibly my favourite map, went 49-4 due to air support =D
I hope the XXL t-shirts fit me man. I'm gonna buy one to try it out, and if it doesn't fit, I hope you can make em bigger.
bog was my favorite map in cod4, followed by downpour :)
