Awww man! Both options look good. I was gonna originally gonna extend the front of the canopy ( add a compartment in front of the mechs crotch) to give room for the legs to fit but hallowing backside Looks good too. I do like the idea of putting the figure behind the glass though. I may have to buy two of these.
13:27 I just picked up that marvel legends iron monger/Obadiah 2pack from gamestop yesterday for just over $30 as iron was a part of their 50% off clearance sale. Also ordered some valaverse & warhammer extras during dorkside's sales. Figures that come with an extra head now have additional benefits due to quick head swaps on 'mech' options.
I was able to get the original mech from when the first Avatar movie came out. It was made by another company and was a lot smaller. I used it for my "Pursuit of Cobra" era figures. I ended up using option number 1 and removing my GI Joe's leg's.

I'd buy one for my little joes since it's cheaper than the joytoys stuff. Imagine scanning all the parts and scaling it up and 3d printing them out toake a bigger version.

Have you seen that chap mei mech? It looks really nice, I think you could get a 1:12 scale guy in there with minimal work, add a paint job and it would look awesome! It’s called the “soldier force exobot battle mech”… it’s clearly an amp suit knock off, but I think it looks pretty good!

You might be able to Dremel off the bottom of the foot cabin/area and let them feet hang free while keeping the rest intact. Just an idea though not sure if the legs would be too wide to fit in even thought the bottom cap stopping them.

Yeah, Same mold as I toldja solja. But I do like what you did. If it were me, I would try to retain the canopy, and either raise up the torso a bit to fit legs, OR cut holes for leg pass throughs, and armor them somehow. I really DOES look great with that scale figures. The one I have it the original release, Has a way better paint job if I remember. Great vid as always bud!!

Nice! Appreciate you showing off your mods and approach. Obviously it’s east to say do this or try that when your sitting on the other side of the screen without the figure, but the wheels are definitely spinning. I like to watch DrToys and Createscifi do customs and props. The use a lot of “out of the box” materials that I think could apply here even with novice customizing skill sets. Can’t wait to see if you do more to this one!

If I were to do one I'd either, 1st way, make the driver cyber-integrated into the mech similar to how Bone Breaker is integrated into a tank or, 2nd way, use some thick gauge floral wire and make roll bar cage were the canopy once was.
Damn that was pretty slick, like a mech loader for racking missile on a fight Jet...the version with the full fig/visor maybe a clear or blue Lego piece ? Acts like a pop display ala Ironman ? Some energy force field. On another note looking at yer green Vala troops...hmmmm where's my wallet ! Slick video gets the imagination going.

How does this compare to the HISS Mech? That was the number one Mech on my mind when you first showcased this one. I bought the files but I haven’t printed it yet.
i like the first way but my only complaint is it looks alil off but still cool, side not i took a couple halo guys and put them with my joes and to me they resemble the suits from the live action movie,
The toy industry reminds me of the fashion industry. This Mech suit cost 40 bucks. A 3A toys Bertie will hit you for 300. We all saw the Haslab for the Cobra vehicle. When you boil it down, same amount of plastic. It's like paying 30 bucks for a Russel brand hoodie and Kanye charges 400 for his. Same material. Then if we say something they laugh at us like drug dealers. 'Well if you really want it, you can afford it'. Luxury brand toys is where we're at now. My cheap ass is headed over to Alibaba to look for bootlegs. Nice mod, thanks.
That is awesome. Great job with the figure. I like both versions. The first one makes me think the pilot is either squatting inside the mech or on their knees. The second one does give that Ripley vibe. Reminds me of Exosquad.

To me it would look cool with a Bat, As of now the only 1/18 scale I wanted to make work was the current Halo warhog in stores. I may do this at some point. For now I had to get the Fornite boat while I was able too. Im sure it will be a year from now...But when I have Shipwreck and Torpendo in my hands I'm going to be glad I have that Boat. But I would like to get this and take the legs off a bat. I'm wondering if the Python patrol Bat or that red Bat they are gonna put up soon will, if they would look better.

I've used a couple of ur kit bash ideas,I moded my BAT with those dollar store robotic arms, 🔥🔥🔥,I just moded my Dr Octopus figure with new tentacles

I’d really love to see JoyToy scale up their mech suits. They do super detailed mech suits for 1/18 scale.

1/18th is the best scale for vehicles. The Joytoy mechs would be too expensive at 1/12th but I would love to get a few in the scale.

U could probably f4u corsair "tear drop" cockpit to get his head covered for the second way of doing it. You would just need some clear plastic.
