Mexico is still cheaper than USA but it is becoming more expensive.

Cheaper, no way, Mexico is the same cost as the USA as far as I am concerned. Thailand is not even much better, we were spending $3,000 CAD a month last winter in Thailand, Cambodia is cheap though, but I would never want to live there.

@@kleerogersNot even close, not sure where you’ve been in the US but total cost of things is still lower in Mexico. Not ALL things are less expensive, but average montly expensives will be at least 25% lower.

Mexico is still cheaper. However, the current exchange rate is making it more expensive. Mexico can’t offer 10% interest on its bonds forever. The dollar will recover eventually to a better exchange rate.

I think it all depends on what kind of lifestyle you want. If you want a USA lifestyle it is not going to be less expensive, the economy is global. What Mexico does give you is options. There are cheaper options in mexico that you can't get in the USA.

Thank You for Subscribing for over five years. It's great you have many choices a lot of people are not that fortunate but to answer your question I would recommend let's talk on the phone. If you present this link it'll send you over to a booking site
I have three prices see which one will fit your budget. Some people are reluctant on paying for my 50 years experience traveling in Mexico but I can tell you everyone that has had a phone consultation with me has received value and has saved a lot of frustration at choosing the wrong choices about Mexico.

Quick question Jerry...I remember that Lorri had a knee replacement. I need to get a partial knee replacement. Living in Mexico as well. Did she get the replacement in Mexico or in the U.S. I'm on Medicare, and up in the U.S. it's covered If done in Mx, was it costly? For me, it's just the flight to the U.S. for the surgery, and flight back. If it's something private, please dont feel obligated to respond.

Lori had the knee operation done in Guadalajara Mexico it was $7600 and we were not able to use Medicare. If it would've been an emergency we could have used Medicare advantage.

Thanks for sharing and answering some of the common questions you get asked in your consulting. What do you think of the air evacuation services insurance to bring you back to the USA or Canada in case of serious and expensive illness? As my wife and I have Medicare, if we are dealing with prolonged illness, it is likely better to be back in the USA.

we are going to look into air evacuation services insurance. More people are using it and I've heard good things about that program.

My wife has an account and it has done very well. If it goes over 10K in US dollars it needs to be reported on taxes.

@@JerryBrownTravels Are we talking about reporting it on taxes, or reporting it on the FBAR form? There's no downside to simply reporting it. You don't have to pay anything; just fill out the form.
As for investing in Mexico, the largest Mexico ETF is the iShares MSCI Mexico ETF, ticker symbol EWW. Unfortunate name when you say it out loud. "Ewwwwwwwwwww...". That said, the annualized total returns, as of 3/31/2024 are:
      1 Yr: 18.60%
      3 Yr: 19.43%
      5 Yr: 12.36%
      Those are EXCELLENT returns.

Realistically (or technically speaking, if you prefer) you're investing in Mexico anytime you vacation there, move there, send money there (buy their products, visit their TH-cam channels, or employ a stateside person who's sending remittances back) either directly or indirectly. The Mexican people are fantastic, but the government is horrid and c a r t e l s are taking over. Their infrastructure is growing daily and getting more and more complex. The whole country is becoming more "comfortable" and industrial all the time. It's more and more accommodating to the people who want to immigrate there because they bring money with them that 's more stable than the peso.

  • @kleerogers
    @kleerogers 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

cuttiest couple on TH-cam!!!! But I'm not sending you any money for a consultation Jerry, I'll keep it for my retirement instead of funding yours (no offence), Where do you get 11% on a CD, I am getting 6.2% in a very safe Canadian bank with government guarantee (insurance), I would NEVER trust a Mexican bank with my retirement money, that is way to risky!!!!

You've been a subscriber for three years now you say that you do not wanna fundus Us and you want to save for your retirement that's an excellent idea. I want you to know that I am offering a service and I am charging for that service do you find that to be unfair? I provide you with over 800 free videos there FREE to you and you make no payment to me it's 100% free so when I am offering a phone consultation I charge for that service. Do you feel that's unfair ? If you go to have your car repaired and they charge you for that service is that any different than what I'm doing? When you go see a doctor and he gives you a consultation and you pay for that do you feel that's unfair? If you hire a taxi or use the Uber for a ride and he charges you a fee do you think that's unfair?

I do watch your videos for free, and I have an ad blocker so I don’t have to watch any annoying ads on TH-cam, it’s so wonderful, I do appreciate what you do otherwise I wouldn’t be watching your videos, but I’m certainly not gonna pay you for advice that I can get for free, but if people want to pay you, more power to you 👍👍👍@@JerryBrownTravels
