    Great video, as usual.
May I suggest to make a video about how to clean the shavings and obtain the "final product"? As I know, the cleaning process can be time-consuming and highly subjectec to mistakes (if you are not an expert). It can be a really frustrati g experience for the beginners.
Thanks for sharing your geat experience with the rest of the world!

Hello from IRELAND again Roger mate.. I watched a video of yours where u bought the cheapest Circular saw in town and built a Tabke saw out of it and some pieces of Scrap pieces of wood. It was brilliant dude. I wish I had seen the video a few yrs ago to be able tohave a table saw of my own..That was brilliant my friend..
I cannot believe how good that narrow bull nose router bit is.. It's a very fine cutting bit tbf. The clean up it has just done on this piece is phenomenol..
Have u any adviuce foir simeine who is about toi build his own NC ROUTER from scratch? I'm using 2060, 2020, & 2080 extruded Aluminium 1000mm but the 2080 is only 600mm..It's one piece whi h will be my X AXIS for my Linear slide Z-aXIS.
I'm using Arduino as my controller?
Apologies for rabbiting on so much in this comment Roger mate but I'm very interested in CNC machines these days so I take every and any opportunity to pick the brains of any person who knows more about this subject than I ever could..
I'm really enjoying ur channel mate. It's full of very interesting videos for a newbie like myself to grasp hold of and learn from so thanks very much mate and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO U AND UR FAMILY.. Salute from Dublin, Ireland,.

what do you do to prevent cupping/warping once you unscrew the workpiece from the bed? especially when cutting so deep. I have experienced major cupping whenever I have tried to do anything like this which is pretty much impossible to rectify. you're advice would be much appreciated. also thanks for the videos you're a welsh of knowledge and a credit to the platform.

    • @keithschuessler3435
      @keithschuessler3435 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Cupping as you describe it is from wood that was improperly dried. The inside of the slab will be a higher moisture content than the outside; dried too quickly or for too short of a time.
It’s commonly called case hardened lumber, and an easy was to test for it is to make a partial rip on a table saw.
If the kerf closes, it is casehardened.
TLDR: find a different lumber supplier if this is a consistent issue.

@@keithschuessler3435 From what I understand it is not only moisture content but internal pressure release from the unique grain structure of each piece of wood, unavoidable without resin stabilization

Good day from the winter of Montana,USA. I don't understand how TH-cam puts up random videos...but I guess I have looked a time or two at CNC. I was drawn to this one, because I did an aluminum casting of a horse very similar to the ones in the video.
I am interested in the possibility of getting started with a CNC machine. I took Machining classes in college when CNC was just being born.
I too, am wondering what the name of the servo motor router is? I thought Mach3 was the router, but, I think that's a software?

Please get some apparatus to stabilize your video if you insist on hand holding the camera. Also, a cheap flashlight will do wonders to illuminate dark areas so that details are readily apparent. Otherwise, keep making your videos as I find them inspiring.
