When I was around 9 years old, I would pretend I was conducting an orchestra in front of the mirror. So when I see this conductor, I see myself had my mom had the funds to nurture my bent. Also, what’s beautiful is, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons was the very first classical CD I ever purchased. Love the brown faces in the orchestra, too. Refreshing. God bless! 🙏🏽
My mother had a set of classical music record albums that she would play. I learned to enjoy classical music at a young age. Some time in elementary school i had the pleasure of going on a field trip to Carnegie Hall where we got to listen to Four Seasons, amongst other things. My classmates were antsy , some bored, others excited to just be out of the harsh neighborhoods in Brooklyn where we lived. I can remember just sitting still, closing my eyes and feeling the music. I was electrified down to Cellular level. Although we were only there for a short time, it felt like an eternity to me. I left feeling like i could conquer the world. I didn't get to play an instrument but when i got to junior high school i joined chorus and we sang vocal classics. This kind of music is pure, authentic and was created for the sake of creation. I love it here. My algorithm is dope for bringing this to me.
It's funny that I have a similar path to classical via vinyls my grandmother had. Being raised in Appalachia, classical seemed like something from another planet. I still love the country and bluegrass I grew up hearing, and I've learned to love most other genres, but classical... yeah... It's the pinnacle of musical art.
I close my eyes and feel the music too. A highlight of life was to sit in rhe theater in Venice where the music debuted. Just magical, just magical. Vivaldi's my favorite. So many memories. v

My first time hearing four seasons was watching elmo on sesame street having kids close their eyes and imagine what they see while listening to the music- daydreaming with classical ever since. This is beautiful
Why are all you beautiful black and brown musicians hiding? Why don't you get out and into the mega orchestras we see everywhere? So talented and you've been hiding yourselves, shame on you. I hope you understand how utterly facetious my first three statements are. Thank you for sharing this. I am flooding my keyboard with tears of joy right now. May your God given gifts be heard and SEEN by everyone. Thank you, @TheUnsungCollective!
Because our system of favored whiteness doesn’t allow it. This is the way to go, and groups like this tend to play music that is unexplored by major orchestras. I attend a local choral group started because they couldn’t get in choirs and because the music of minority groups, especially black composers wasn’t being explored.
Shame on you for not understanding the status quo, you are probably another colonized nonsense. They are clearly not hiding, they are busy being themselves, you ridiculous colonized nonsense.

this rendition is blackisimo! Only would this group and their background bring an incredible feeling to vivaldi's song that is rich and deep dimensionally -- soulful and full of jazz... THANK YOU!
I've loved Vivaldi's Four Seasons since I first heard it as a teenager. I remember I was transfixed and in tears - even though I'd never heard of or imagined anyone crying over classical music. Yet with THIS version, for the first time, I really heard, felt and saw the birds, scores and scores, wheeling and calling, joyous, heralding the promise of Spring. Thank you. The whole recomposition is truly outstanding, respecting the original but somehow making it...better. That's saying a lot - for this is Vivaldi we're talking about.
Perfect for this glorious 🍂🍁 fall afternoon. Thank you God for inspiring man and giving humanity such extraordinary abilities so I can hear this today. I am blessed.
Moved to tears. Like many people commenting here, I grew up listening to 4 Seasons, so was slightly apprehensive about a "remake", but this wasa beautiful.
This was the first real classical music I recall listening to as a child with a critical ear and appreciating its beauty and complexity. That POC are playing it, makes my little black girl heart sing.🥰
Highly talented violinists ensemble, led by a creative founder and artistic director, and such a creative visual way to present the Four Seasons. May we ALL rejoice together as I did, watching and hearing one of my favorite classical pieces done by The Unsung Collective. I am enthralled.

the term recomposed is slightly misleading. it is rather audaciously and more accurately a modern "arrangement" of the score with minimalist vigor. a brilliant interpretation of Vivaldi's masterpiece.
This is honestly my favorite performance of this concerto of all time and the recomposing by max modernizes it, and feels more meaningful and emotional. I’ve rejoiced and I’ve cried all the way through. Thank you.
