I feel like that was the underlying purpose of zero. Wily felt a lot of hate but under all that he wanted robots to be superheroes and ironically, a war machine became a super hero
Well Wily doesn't care as the only thing he wanted to show was that at least 1 INVENTION of his is better than Light's, And Zero kinda proved it, so Wily must be praising him from afterlife, while constantly saying to Light "ON YO FACE B**TH! HAHAHAHA" While sticking out his tongue
Wily and light did create the best robots from their madness. But this ended up creating a war where they were hunted a lot. As shown with the games the arms wars for their tech or body was very violent. Both zero and x deserved a rest. But where was axl is a better question. Why was the rule of 3 still in effect.
But he also failed, the robot he created to destroy megaman and take over the world, instead fought with Light's final creation and saved the world instead.

@@alanmooreisrasputinreincar8106 Well, yes and no. Zero is stronger than X, at first. X is potentially stronger than Zero. It's just that he is a pacifist at heart so he doesn't fight at full power. Throughout the games, he is holding back. X can potentially do anything and be anything a human can, but the purpose his creator had intended for him was to bring humans and robots together in peace and lead and guide them into a brighter future. Zero, on the other hand, was created with the purpose to kill and destroy. He is a warbot and is more adept at combat than X. He also has a hard soldier mentality in contrast with X's pacifism and empathy which aids him in combat, but Zero is also reckless. While X can do anything he desires, Zero is only good at fighting. He even admits this in the games, and would rather leave the leadership roles to people like X and Ciel. If X and Zero fought each other at full power, X is clearly more powerful, but, otherwise, Zero is more powerful than X when he isn't being reckless.
I can't believe he actually died. I've played all of the games at least 50 times and yet still I can't believe it. Zero is forever my favourite Megaman character.
Solo Almina Actually, according to some Capcom handbook on the events of MegaMan Zero (I remember seeing it on the MegaMan Wiki), his status is currently unknown. So he's not officially dead. So I really think it's up to you.
I played many video games, read books, mangas, comics and seen a lot of movies. Yet it is very hard to understand what a hero really is, but from what I can tell... A hero can be anyone no matter who they are. A hero will stand up for what they believe in whether it be for God, for Justice, for home/country, for their humanity or the people around them and inspire hope when others have nothing to believe in. A hero does not look for personal gain. A hero fights for the weak and the helpless. A hero will put the needs of others before their own. A hero serves as an example to others and a hero will fight even to the end so that others may live... Zero's last act is a good example of what heroism is even if he did not see it himself.
I remember reading a quote somewhere that went something like this: 'All heroes faced suffering and hardship, but not all people who suffer became heroes. Most just died along the way.' Been trying to find where I read it, off and on now, for a few days.
It's technically unconfirmed of whether or not he died, but if he did, I feel this is a satisfying ending. All his life, Zero had struggled with his purpose for being built and "what [he was] fighting for." His final words are powerful. "I don't care about justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero... I have always only fought for the people I believe in. I won't hesitate... If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!"

Such a great series. So rare to have a series complete a great story arch and just let it end in such a great manner and not ruin it with extra sequels.
This ending made me cry the first time I finished zero 4... The story telling in the zero series is just so masterfully done. It made me expect more from the ZX series which pales in comparison.
Oh and those who say that Models Z and X are the cores from the original reploids Zero and X where does it state that because I've played both and never had that hinted (ZX and ZX Advent) and looked up that they only resemble the reploid each is based after and use some of the moves that the originals used not the cores
This ending reminds me so much of Gundam Wing. Zechs/Milliardo destroyed the core of the station crashing to earth to try and save everyone. Looked like an impossible situation but he came back in Endless Waltz without a scratch.
And it's worse when you realize that by the time megaman Legends rolls up, all humans are now extinct. All that hard work and sacrifice that zero and by extension X and mega man put in was for nothing in the grand scheme of things. It hit so hard that I really have a hard time playing megaman Legends, despite how good it is.
Yang Xiao Long he just said that he never cared about justice. if anybody thought like that in that situation i doubt that they would've sacrificed themselves for anybody else.
He's not dead his body was just destroyed in zx you have biometals that remember nothing in there past model z=Zero x=X Then we have other models and you probably know who they are... But model A was made in Alberts image so that one we can ignore...
I learned to read from Megaman X4 and Legends (1 and 2) when I was two years old... Boy, this makes me wanna cry. So damn nostalgic. Also... Zero did survive MMX5, though how is unclear; Wily may have been involved. Zero eventually allowed his body to be researched and contained so the maverick virus would not spread and eventually be cured. His mind was transferred to a replication of his original body as a safety precaution. That body is the one he uses in the MMZ series.
What I like is...since Zero didn't need to follow the laws of robotics he was able to take Weil out. Its pretty interesting how the final creation of Dr. Wily instead fulfilled Dr. Light's vision, too. Alive or not, what a way to go.
rockmenx8xx I hope we do get another Mega Man game. One where it's kinda like a reboot but not really. More like trying to save Mega Man's timeline by creating a new alternate timeline and pretty much Mega Man X would need his saved too but I think X and Zero would have to be introduced much later on in the further future. Point is I want a Mega Man game but with the original Mega Man saving his future by changing the original timeline to something new
Anyone else hoping that supporting MegaMan 11 will motivate Capcom to make X9 to make the bridge between X and Zero series or you think they will just make more Classic Megaman instead?
Okay, it really seems warped to make a dangerous madman immortal as a punishment instead of just killing him. Weil is insane. Also, he doesn't pay much attention, Zero showed in the last game that he wouldn't have any problems killing him. Love the music playing here.
Weird how people don't notice at the end, it's not someone standing there it's rock broken from Zeros impact. Look closely at where the helmet is, it pretty much lines up with the hole you can also see pieces all along that route.
ACTUALLY, Megaman Zero DID have voice acting. There's Weil with his never ending words to tell Zero to give up. And even Ciel has some words. When you talk to her in Megaman Zero 2 and 3 in her room, you can hear her quietly say Okaire, which means Welcome Back in Japanese.
and then about 5500 years after the ZX series comes the Legends series! But seriously, I like this ending. Of all seven Mega Man sub-series so far, only the Battle Network and Zero series have officially concluded. I think the ending to the Zero series is perfect. X and Zero are both gone, but their spirits will live on to fight to protect the world...after all, Weil's spirit lives on to try and seize and destroy the world!
Sorry, but Zero was completely destroyed by Ragnarok's core exploding. The blast that occurred because the core was destroyed blasted both Zero and Dr. Wile into oblivion. One century later, Ciel and her team used the remains of X, Zero, Harpuia, Fafnir, Leviathan, and Phantom to create the Biometals in order to stop Model W, which was the remains of the Ragnarok battle station fused with Dr. Wile's soul. In other words, Zero is dead, but he died a hero's death saving the world.
@@minenow1880 no the biometal are just a copy of their DNA and powers in other words they are all Dead only their abilities and power remain into biometals
4:25 is the best part. "if an enemy appears in front of me I will destroy it!" (ever notice that that is what Zero said to X at the end of the first one?)
@Blazeingman well the story I'm working with was designed together by a team, so they decided a "giro' a similar clone to zero but ithout much potential, the story is between Z4 and ZX
Well, I think making sure a villain can cause no more evil is more important then torturing them. Still, Weil does seem to indicated that he did suffer from what happened.
guy's calm down, zero isnt dead, he is actually hiding somewhere repairing himself, and he will return in megaman z5!! if you dont get it, here is a hint: MEGAMAN X6 ...fucking x6...
One: Inti Creates made this ending to conclude this series for good. Z5 will not happen. Z4 was already more than we were supposed to get. Two: We don't talk about X6...
I would just like to remind everyone that this is not the same Zero that Wily created. Sure it might be the same soul as Zero from the X series but did Wily create Zero’s soul? The original Zero body, without the soul, became a “god of destruction,” in other words: how Wily originally wanted him to be. Zero destroyed his original body, Wily’s work. I am not saying Wily isn’t responsible for creating Zero, he 100% is. But, this was not the work of his creation, this was the work of something that came out of his creation. All I am saying is that there can be a debate over whether or not Wily created Zero’s soul or if it was born because of the events of the X series. Either way: Zero was Zero and he wouldn’t have wanted to die any other way than protecting his friends.
Wily is pretty like a bad father. He wants Zero to do stuff that he never wanted to and force him to do so to the point that he planted a virus to control his son. He deserves no part in Zero’s developments into a great hero but hey let Wily has a proud moment since Zero technically had fulfilled his wishes: 1. Surpass Megaman. He bested X in terms of ending a multiple-century-year old war. Also he technically destroyed a Megaman before and that is Copy X. 2. Breaking the three laws as a robot: Zero killed the only human being ever and that is Weil. Overall Zero fulfilled everything Wily wanted in strength department. He destroyed a Megaman and killed a human. Except he was doing all these for good purposes.
One of my favorite moments out of every megaman game. Zero’s speech at the end hit hard man and it was perfect for him I love it. Such a bittersweet ending the zero games are some of my favorite games ever
there is a shadow go on google on the wiki mega man zero 4 it says The series ends with an image of Zero's shattered helmet on the ground with a shadow like figure.
Everyone is either making jokes about Zero finally finding what he's fighting for, saying just how utterly badass he is or how sad this ending is. And I agree. But I haven't seen anyone mentioning how Ciel fullfiled her promise to Zero to such a degree that only 200 years later, not only is the world restored to a very big degree (let's remember at this point the only place on Earth that could suport life was Area Zero), humans and reploids (now humanoids and reploids) are equals in pretty much everything, with humanoids having the same physical prowess as reploids, and reploids having a human-like lifespan, but both species having the same rights, civilization is restored AND Ciel was alive until a bit before the beggining of ZX, still protecting the world with her Guardians, and creating the biometals to protect it further from the remains of Weil's evil. Zero is a badass, alright, but we already knew that. Ciel, on the other hand, without shooting a single buster shot or slashing anything to pieces, proved herself to be almost as badass as him, with the power of science and good intentions on her side. Of all the profesors in the franchise, she is easily my favorite.
Althought it's hard to admit... after reading Ciel lines and the scene showing Zero's helm all shattered... I couldnt help but cry... >.> ya go call me crybaby
I'm convinced Zero could live. It's not like he hasn't died before. Hell, one time he died, and simply told death to screw off and rebuilt himself! And he had ONE ARM WITH NO FINGERS when he did that.
It is hard to to tell what a hero really is mostly because "Heroes" nowadays have anti-hero qualities in the way that they do some things that villains would, but still say it was for justice. One such example (believe it or not) would be Batman. The reason because he uses fear, intimidation and brutal methods to fight crime. I'm not dissing I like Batman as much as everybody else.
forget the hero part! he just said that he never cared about justice and that's true then why did he fight so hard for it. he should have did his own thing like vile.
Imagine if final fantasy 7 ended like this where the main character gets killed in the end by sacrificing himself I feel like it would’ve ended like that since zero and cloud are very similar
The thing is, a lot of people considered the Helmet to be actually part of Zero's body, due to Reploids at that time still posessing robotic parts. Therefore, his Helmet + Head = 1 body part. If he's able to remove the helmet, he most likely will live. However, if he can't do that, he shouldn't be able to. However, remember Megaman X 5? At the end of the series, he went and fix himself after that sigma battle, so maybe the same applies here, but i won't know.
I guess the developers wanted to end it in a kind of mysterious way to let the gamers choose their decision whether zero is walking off in the distance or not.

Zero has a habit of dying, but not staying dead. It wouldn't surprise me if he comes back once again.
16 years ago wow! And still playing megaman zero!!!
You know, Zero's 2 final battle pissed me off, how Elpizo killed X, but this one made me shed a tear.
Oh and those who say that Models Z and X are the cores from the original reploids Zero and X where does it state that because I've played both and never had that hinted (ZX and ZX Advent) and looked up that they only resemble the reploid each is based after and use some of the moves that the originals used not the cores
I wish zero said "x I won't fail you."
Damn if he said that I would of died from awesomeness.
Well he did said to Craft about him keeping a promise for a friend. And that friend was X.
This ending reminds me so much of Gundam Wing.
Zechs/Milliardo destroyed the core of the station crashing to earth to try and save everyone. Looked like an impossible situation but he came back in Endless Waltz without a scratch.
Zero.... Why ?
I aways cry with this ending, specialy with the ciel's words.
after learning more about this series i tried to get my brain to turn off anything mmz related just so i wouldn’t cry so much
it didn’t work
And it's worse when you realize that by the time megaman Legends rolls up, all humans are now extinct. All that hard work and sacrifice that zero and by extension X and mega man put in was for nothing in the grand scheme of things. It hit so hard that I really have a hard time playing megaman Legends, despite how good it is.
This ending always gets to me. Mainly because they just killed the character that I grew up with as one of the coolest badasses ever.
Joel:i have a sadests death in video games......
Zero:ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?!
?
Two things.
One, Capcom makes the greatest BGM's.
Two, its funny when you look back at the original Megaman and see how far the series has come.
MMX: You can do it, X
MMZ: You can do it, Zero
Ciel dreams are for winners only
she tried to blame megaman for her mistakes in the 1st megaman zero, that makes her a loser in my book!
Yeah and she made the biometals exept model a
I just finished this game today and why zero had to die?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!
He sacrificed himself to end the war between the humans and reploids, sad but a sacrifice I think he had to make.
I already know that .-.
Yang Xiao Long he just said that he never cared about justice. if anybody thought like that in that situation i doubt that they would've sacrificed themselves for anybody else.
X is Zero right? right? Right? RIGHT?
He's not dead his body was just destroyed in zx you have biometals that remember nothing in there past model z=Zero x=X Then we have other models and you probably know who they are... But model A was made in Alberts image so that one we can ignore...
It feels weird on how this is like the 3rd time zero has died yet this one was permanent
and this is what zero have realized..
this is what he was fighting for..
It was 16 years when we last stand of the first Maverick and the last of the true heroes.
What I like is...since Zero didn't need to follow the laws of robotics he was able to take Weil out.
Its pretty interesting how the final creation of Dr. Wily instead fulfilled Dr. Light's vision, too.
Alive or not, what a way to go.
Can't they make mega man elf wars a game
Lightning Gale Animations Okay I will try
i say amazing to this
Apparently, the Zero series was originally supposed to end after Zero 3. This scene alone proves that a fourth installment was a brilliant idea.
2:28 Wtf how!? Was that cut foward!??
SO FUCKING SAD
i know right how can this be called a megaman game without megaman!? curse you keiji inafune!
rockmenx8xx I hope we do get another Mega Man game. One where it's kinda like a reboot but not really. More like trying to save Mega Man's timeline by creating a new alternate timeline and pretty much Mega Man X would need his saved too but I think X and Zero would have to be introduced much later on in the further future. Point is I want a Mega Man game but with the original Mega Man saving his future by changing the original timeline to something new
Dimitri Michael Gragirene i understand.
Anyone else hoping that supporting MegaMan 11 will motivate Capcom to make X9 to make the bridge between X and Zero series or you think they will just make more Classic Megaman instead?
I don’t think it’ll happen to be honest I’m not even sure they’ll make another classic in the next few years
He returned as Biometal Model Z in Mega Man ZX series
Some of the theory he become a cyber elf
Okay, it really seems warped to make a dangerous madman immortal as a punishment instead of just killing him.
Weil is insane. Also, he doesn't pay much attention, Zero showed in the last game that he wouldn't have any problems killing him.
Love the music playing here.
Weird how people don't notice at the end, it's not someone standing there it's rock broken from Zeros impact. Look closely at where the helmet is, it pretty much lines up with the hole you can also see pieces all along that route.
Maybe he isn't dead.. I can see a silhouette of something in front of the sun in the ending. It might be him.
What a great sacrifice
ACTUALLY, Megaman Zero DID have voice acting. There's Weil with his never ending words to tell Zero to give up. And even Ciel has some words. When you talk to her in Megaman Zero 2 and 3 in her room, you can hear her quietly say Okaire, which means Welcome Back in Japanese.
and then about 5500 years after the ZX series comes the Legends series!
But seriously, I like this ending. Of all seven Mega Man sub-series so far, only the Battle Network and Zero series have officially concluded. I think the ending to the Zero series is perfect. X and Zero are both gone, but their spirits will live on to fight to protect the world...after all, Weil's spirit lives on to try and seize and destroy the world!
if he dies, wouldn't he be revived from his live count??
Preston Quach yeah he's been resurrected 2x in the X series so he should live right plz
Sadly, you aren’t wrong...
@@minenow1880 well it doesn't matter they are dead anyway
After all this years, after I finish the saga 4 years ago, this still hit me hard and make me feel down
Kinda sad because zero is death. And the next generation is megaman ZX
RIP old buddy. Sigma, VIle, and this. Even the 100 years of slumber, go be with your friend. Youve earned it
4:25 is the best part.
"if an enemy appears in front of me I will destroy it!" (ever notice that that is what Zero said to X at the end of the first one?)
"Megaman zero 4 BGM - falling down"
It's the name of the final boss theme music
Thanks
if they made this series into a movie i would watch it a million times
@Blazeingman well the story I'm working with was designed together by a team, so they decided a "giro' a similar clone to zero but ithout much potential, the story is between Z4 and ZX
Zeros soul got absorbed into model Z in megaman zx/zxa
He and X past their powers to Vent/Aile.
True
Well, I think making sure a villain can cause no more evil is more important then torturing them.
Still, Weil does seem to indicated that he did suffer from what happened.
guy's calm down, zero isnt dead, he is actually hiding somewhere repairing himself, and he will return in megaman z5!!
if you dont get it, here is a hint: MEGAMAN X6
...fucking x6...
Zero can auto repair now, he is full destroyed than zero in x5 (Dr.wily fix him)
we were never scared though
HAHAHA.
One: Inti Creates made this ending to conclude this series for good. Z5 will not happen. Z4 was already more than we were supposed to get.
Two: We don't talk about X6...
DIEEEE ZELLLOOOO DIEEEEEE! JUSTDIE!!!
hey is their a picture of x and the gaurdians whatching the desent of ragnorock i cant find it
I would just like to remind everyone that this is not the same Zero that Wily created.
He deserves no part in Zero’s developments into a great hero but hey let Wily has a proud moment since Zero technically had fulfilled his wishes:
ZERO NO!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
there is a shadow go on google on the wiki mega man zero 4 it says The series ends with an image of Zero's shattered helmet on the ground with a shadow like figure.
Ciel: Zero. Nooooooo! No this isn't happening! There's no reason for me to go on, but what-?! WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOOOOORRR?!!!
Zero, you gotta stop dying already. We don't wanna have to hold an intervention.
Now Iris and Zero are together 😢
ScorpianStrike and Commander Shepard too
actually batman has been chosen to wield the fear lantern ring cause he give fear
Imagine if final fantasy 7 ended like this where the main character gets killed in the end by sacrificing himself I feel like it would’ve ended like that since zero and cloud are very similar
Nope, their spirits live on in the biometals of ZX on DS.
I think mother elf could be revive zero ! that could possibly !
Maybe that light is mother elf also revived zero...everything is possible am i right ?
Except the Mother Elf was gone in the last game
I guess the developers wanted to end it in a kind of mysterious way to let the gamers choose their decision whether zero is walking off in the distance or not.
The ending made me cry! T_T
So is the Zero series the only one in the main timeline to wrap it up beautifully orrr. . .
You are correct
