Cliffe says that having faith on thick ice is good and thin ice is bad, but recall that Jesus let peter walk on stormy water to go to Him, and when peter began to sink because of his fear, he cried out to Jesus, and Jesus rescued him. If you truly have faith, even as small as a mustard seed, you will be saved.
Hi @bennusmagnus5277 That passage is talking about faith to move mountains, not faith to be saved. I believe Peter walked on water, trusting the ability of Jesus. Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. More so, Cliffe didn't say anything about one ice being good or bad. He talked about the reliability of whatever you believe in. Don't you think it is safer for anyone to verify the reliability of whatever they believe in than facing the consequence of just blind faith or mere assumptions.
Not the most foolish bunch I've seen over the years watching Cliffe. Just casual "each to their own" post mid pop culture laid back slow mellow lost vibes. I wonder what they all doing now.
The relativists’ definition of tolerance true tolerance is impossible. Let Greg Koukl give you a real-life example. "A few years back I spoke to a class of seniors at a Christian high school in Des Moines. I wanted to alert them to this “tolerance trick,” but I also wanted to learn how much they had already been taken in by it. I began by writing two sentences on the board. The first expressed the current understanding of tolerance: All views are equally valid; no view is better than another. All heads nodded in agreement. Nothing controversial here. Then I wrote the second sentence: Jesus is the Messiah; Jews are wrong for rejecting Him. Immediately hands flew up. “You can’t say that,” a coed challenged, clearly annoyed. “That’s disrespectful. How would you like it if someone said you were wrong?” “Like you’re doing right now?” I pointed out. “It happens to me all the time and doesn’t bother me at all. Why should it?” “But your view is intolerant,” she said, noting that the second statement violated the first statement. What she didn’t see was that the first statement also violated itself. I pointed to the first statement and asked, “Is this a view, the idea that all views are equally valid?” They all agreed. Then I pointed to the second statement-the “intolerant” one-and asked the same question: “Is this a view?” They studied the sentence for a moment. Slowly my point began to dawn on them. If all views are equally valid, then the view that Jews are wrong for rejecting Jesus is just as true as the view that Jews are right for rejecting Jesus. But this is hopelessly contradictory: “All views are equally valid, including the view that all views are not equally valid,” or “All views are equally valid and not equally valid at the same time.” They’d been taken in by the tolerance trick. If this is what tolerance amounts to, then no one can be tolerant because “tolerance” turns out to be contradictory gibberish."

@bonnie43uk Hello friend! Good to hear from you! Hope you're doing well. That is a good question. @bonnie43uk yes. Its amazing these people are in college. When they know the truth, they dont want to be held accountable for their actions. God and the day of Judgement will do, just that. Just plain ole truth we all struggle with.
Well there is no evidence of any god existing, no evidence of any so called day of judgement, no evidence of any life after death, what your claiming is just that, unevidenced claims, and unevidenced claims are not "The truth".
Right, they forget that judgment is not based on cliffe and what he believe or stands for but what you choose to stand for yourself.

Its 2024, this is 1999. The scary part is other than the clothing and film quality, You can barely tell the difference. Only thing missing is people trying to claim Jesus was trans. (I'm not even kidding their are pseudo pastors claiming that now) God bless you Cliffe.
I think the gift of awareness and free will is actually very interesting. Like you’re so aware you believe that you just spawned, and your creator is so profoundly different even in the level of your awareness that you cannot accept that you were made, and he that who made you isn’t wise enough. I mean if I look at my finger prints I get goosebumps, like how can all this be? It’s really hard to face your own existence.
Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.

Hi @bennusmagnus5277
That passage is talking about faith to move mountains, not faith to be saved. I believe Peter walked on water, trusting the ability of Jesus.
Matthew 17:20
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

The first expressed the current understanding of tolerance:
All views are equally valid; no view is better than another.
All heads nodded in agreement. Nothing controversial here. Then I wrote the second sentence:
Jesus is the Messiah; Jews are wrong for rejecting Him.
Immediately hands flew up. “You can’t say that,” a coed challenged, clearly annoyed. “That’s disrespectful. How would you like it if someone said you were wrong?”
“Like you’re doing right now?” I pointed out. “It happens to me all the time and doesn’t bother me at all. Why should it?”
“But your view is intolerant,” she said, noting that the second statement violated the first statement.
But this is hopelessly contradictory: “All views are equally valid, including the view that all views are not equally valid,” or “All views are equally valid and not equally valid at the same time.”
They’d been taken in by the tolerance trick. If this is what tolerance amounts to, then no one can be tolerant because “tolerance” turns out to be contradictory gibberish."

"Is it wrong for me to believe in another God" yes hunny that is the entire point. He is the one and only God. And I pray she found her way

I think Cliffe is fantastic but sometimes he gets overwhelmed by questions all over the grid. In the instance with the one girl talking about how "cannibalism" in society would be fine if you grew up in that society and "we eat animals so whats the difference" her answers were more or less lined up with that, I was wishing Cliffe would have said that "Cannibalism would be fine until you become on the menu!" I give him so much credit for challenging the minds of so many students, it reminds me of a rap battle but you're battling an audience.
I see every time Cliffe debunk their ideas they move the goal post. Because the human heart doesn’t want to accept the fact that we are sinners and need a savior. They would accept Jesus as long as He doesn’t show us that we are not and need to be saved
Amen 🙏

I would like to hear Mr. Craig include the *New Birth* in his responses somehow (Ezekiel 37/John 3, etc). Although I know he is trying to prove his faith to the intellectual, it may be beneficial to also include that there is also super natural consequences to those who believe, such as the new birth, new heart, new desires, etc; and that he actually experienced this "New Birth" which changed his life. ❤

Good video, I love Clifs patients, I don't know if I could listen to this an stay so calm. The hoops folks jumped through to willingly deny a god. The idea truth is only arrived at from the way you were raised is nonsense.
The hoops Christians are willing to jump through to believe a moral source doesn’t have to follow its own morality is nonsense
You Christians make the ignorant students look good
Hi denton, I agree with you, it's nonsense to say truth is only arrived at from the way you were raised. How do you go about determining what is true and what is not true?
@bonnie43uk Hello friend! Good to hear from you! Hope you're doing well. That is a good question. It comes down to a conscience, I agree some things are subjective, and I think the scripture points that out. But there are objective truths, like this, the The Statue of Liberty stands in New York Harbor, it is not subjective. Tim Barnet has a talk on this, he ask ice cream or insulin which is better?
@@dentonhahn2907 I agree about there being some objective truths like the Statue of Liberty, also there are lots of mathematical truths. Would you say that to inflict severe torture upon another person is an objective truth, or does it depend on the circumstances? .. much like the question as to what is better, ice cream or insulin.. that would very much be dependent upon the situation.
@bonnie43uk yes. It is an objectively wrong for a human to inflict pain on a person, but I have known "torture " from going to a dentist who pulled a tooth before I was numb...it was not wrong, and it was not done intentional. I think so. But yet we all need Iselin and a diabetic would die without it, yet if it were only subjective, why not give him ice cream?
