So I know it didn't come up and likely never would, but I noticed Aaron keeping track of Commander Tax on Yuriko. CT never increases on commander ninjutsu since it only keeps track of casting from the command zone. Small detail that barely comes up but there has been the odd game where I had to hard cast Yuriko.
Could Fil had activated Clock of Omens ability to untap itself, generating a treasure and starting the loop in response to the polymorph? Or am I missing something? Seems like he could’ve won there.
Cast Mindbreak trap to counter just a spell pierce, FoW just to counter Yuriko removal(which can be reasily re-casted) is a waist of interaction. Just because you have doesn't mean you should cast it right away and at the end of game just say "I couldn't try to keep interactive spell.."
I'm curious about how Cormela goes infinite with Saw In Half. I guess you need some other card generating mana, because I see how you get back the Saw In Half and I almost see how you pay for it but I don't see how you pay for Cormela's ability since you can't use the mana from her ability to do so. I guess the third card has to be Birgi? Alternatively, creating a 1/1 Cormela for every 1 non-Cormela mana you have probably does pretty good work.
The other piece of the puzzle is something like Dark Ritual or Rite of Flame. Since you get 2 Cormela dies triggers per Saw in Half you use one to get Saw in Half and one to get the Ritual. -Jan
9:19 Aaron can’t mental misstep the sol ring by paying two life because that’s casting a spell without paying mana so wouldn’t chalice on 0 counter it? I maybe incorrect about that.
Bit of a mess up there, Jan should have died to the liberated dwarf, it was an 8x not a 7x, and to top it off he paid 3 for a wheel of fortune that should have cost 4, due to thorn of amythest
@@SylveonSimp yeah true, lots of 1's. but isn't that variability just bad in cedh? I love yuriko, I just feel like other decks can consistently win every single game pre-5 and i'm praying for rng
@@brothulhu-phtagn It buys time and opportunity by playing more counters than basically any other deck. It doesn't mind huge mana costs as long as they can be discounted, has built in card advantage for spells like commandeer and forces, and yuriko is excellent sac fodder for things like abjure or flare of denial. She's not top tier, maybe, but better than she looks at first blush imo. Other decks can goldfish fast wins, but you can't goldfish vs yuriko. You actually have to get through her interaction.
Like this comment to upgrade your Queso to cQueso
qEDh if you will
@@kstandish42 Now there's a tournament I could Top 4
The spicy of this change is unreal
cQueso is just superior. I love going turn 1 roux into mornay, just wins every game
Great stuff. Love the sass in the early game counter wars.
It’s alright Fil. We’ve all forgotten stuff like that
The more giant mistakes we make, the more bonus content we release ;) - Fil
These are always so interesting, and I love hearing about alternate universes and you guys talking through your lines after the game
what is this magic crap doing in the way. I want to hear yall talk about mexican food for 40 minutes
Chicharron, Elote, Dos Huaraches
For Aaron, the c in cEDH stands for Conquistador
Looking forward to seeing Magda!
best deck in cedh
Who came up with the Artifiction joke? You're my new best friend.
I write the intro cards. Glad you enjoyed the joke!
Love to see Jim popping off
Some spicy Yuriko triggers this game! 😅
I think that's the longest cEDH game i have ever seen. I guess it was because of all the stax pieces and counterspells
Had a 1h59mins game just yesterday evening
Some very early stax and then some counterwars tend to do that 😅

In the future could we get a krrik vs yuriko vs atraxa game?
Yuriko vs Magda vs TnT vs Kinnan would be a dream watch
Thank you for your content guys❤

Clock wasn't a dwarf right? Just a golem?
That's right - you always need an artifact dwarf. - Fil
@@TheSpikeFeeders you’re right, I knew I missed something
He would need maskwood nexus on
It didn’t affect the outcome but Fil's life total would have been 26 from the nexus draw.
Did I miss something or did Aaron forget to pitch a card to Force of Will?
Interesting not seeing neither scrollrack nor sensei's top in yuriko's list
What have i missed? Dorsn’t The chalice stops all of the zero spells?!
Chalice cares about the mana value of the spell on the stack, not how much you spent to cast it.
Omg nobody said inventor's unfair...So I shall, MORE LIKE INVENTORS UNFAIR
In Queso, we trust.
Yeah 😃🤴🏻🧎🏾♂️ King Jan is on the table. I am your loyal servant my King. Jan is the best !!!
Bill devastated.

The gamegenic intro goes really hard
Absolutely enamored with the way that Editor Fil says "dorf."

ah, here I was thinking “there’s no sac outlet” but of course the legend rule is there to save the day!
32:10 Polymorph cost 5 Not 4 in this Situation @@TheSpikeFeeders
Love the vibes that Editor (took the liberty of going to first name basis) brings to the table every time hes on
That poor thorn, imagine her feelings 😂
Magda's half anthem is kinda weird though
Great game 🫶🏼
when jan wheeld of fortune the table he didnt pay for the extra 1 so he couldnt have done it=?
Yeah you’re right. Thought at first wheel was 1R and you were misunderstanding trinisphere, but nope he didn’t pay the extra 1
@Jan still useful!
Did Phil pay 3 for winter moon?
Sacrificed a treasure. - Fil
@TheSpikeFeeders Nice, must've missed it
Trinisphere helped Fil more than anyone else. Great game though.
Great content as always! The wide shot on Jan and Jim is a little zoomed out in comparison to the wide on Aaron and Phil.

I have looked it up. I am incorrect never mind.
Cormela my beloved ❤
Yuriko, let’s go!
Big Jim fan! (Etc etc about anyone else)
Just in case at like 10:57 that force of will couldn’t have been activated cause chalice of the void was in play
That's not how that works. Chalice only cares about the mv printed on the card, not the mana cost you actually paid. Force is still a 5mv spell.
gg for magda
Mmmm queso
LFG Magda ❤

Yeah they put that info in the video
Is Yuriko truly CEDH? I feel like unless she has the perfect cards she can't beat out turbo decks. Low cedh?
No, pretty much a cEDH commander. She is in the Top 20 in conversion rate and popularity post ban.

Rip Cormela this game. She is really cool, but that was an awful start.

What a cheesy video

The 100th game with the same commanders. Always so exciting
What are you talking about? Magda and yuriko are the only decks here even in the top 25.
