I saw Queen live in 1980. I was 18 years old and had seen many big name groups in concert. From Black Sabbath to Heart to ZZ Top. That concert with Queen changed the way I felt about music and live concerts. It was the FIRST time that the live music sounded better than the album. I wish I could have bottled up the energy in that crowd that day. Not only was Freddy Mercury the talent that we all recognize today, Queen the band was tight as we used to say. Meaning they were perfect. I'm forever changed from that music. Keep going with the Freddy Mercury tribute I'll ride along for sure. 🤘

Wow. I'm incredibly jealous on your concert experience list. I'd KILL to see some of those bands in their prime. So f'n cool. I took my wife to see Heart opening for Journey in 2011 when Journey found that young kid to sing for them. They were awesome, considering my favorite thing about Journey, BY FAR, has always been THE BAND, and not Steve Perry. They tore it down, but, honestly, Heart played before them. I'm a 40 year old, life long Heart fan, as is my wife. when Ann and Nancy hit the stage, Nancy started hitting the "Crazy On You" acoustic riff ... total enchantment. Ann opened her mouth .... OMG. She didn't even need that f'n mic. I had goosebumps LITERALLY from the first note Ann sang, until they left the stage. I mean, just, absolutely, one of the top 5 singers of all time. She's pushing 60, STILL out there belting these songs out like she's still 22. I'm a metal head at heart, and I've seen some of the biggest names in metal, but, my favorite shows of all time goes, my 4 Pantera shows, f'n Heart in '11 and Jethro Tull in 2000

Great all-star tribute at Wembley that bitter day! Just take G.Michael performance alone.
Got exasperated to a proverb at Phil Collins' caustic remark on Freddie death.Very improper for that moment.Lost a lustre in my eyes after

Unfortunately this was the last time that John "Deakey" Deacon preformed with Queen. Freddie's death hit him hard and he went into retirement. The concert brought together some of the greatest acts at the time, Roger Daltry of the Who, Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, Axle Rose and Slash of Guns and Roses, Elton John, George Michael and many more, and they rocked the house. Brought tears to my eyes to see so many great singers and songwriters share their love and admiration for Freddie Mercury.

Have you ever seen the video of the crowd at Hyde Park in England before a GreenDay concert?
It was a magnificent impromptu tribute to Freddy. It happened in 2017 I think.
Just look for Green Day, Hyde Park, crowd

    • @sandramorris893
      @sandramorris893 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Agree, it was amazing. Although Green Day use Bohemian Rhapsody to warm up the crowd before most of their concerts around the world, but that aside, Green Day got it right, they're huge Queen fans and know that most of the crowd will be too especially in UK. What I love about that Hyde Park concert is that the crowd are a young crowd and know every word, goose bumps.
In 2015 Kanye West played at Glastonbury and tried to win the crowd over with his rendition of BR. If you want to cringe in your chair and roll up into the foetal position, give it a watch, it's only a minute or two of torture.

You can also find some non Queen song's at Wembley in 1986 a bit of Rock And Roll segment Freddie playing with the audience, this was in front of around 80,000 per show and Knebworth around 130,000 per show. I like to see the younger generation enjoying the music I grew up with being older than yourself and from the UK

I had recorded the concert on MTV in 1992; a year later they released an official home video of the concert; but I felt that there was more footage of the show that wasn’t on that release. In 2002 it got the DVD treatment, but it was only footage from the second part of the show; they didn’t include sets from Metallica, Extreme, Def Leppard, Spinal Tap, and Guns N Roses. I’m told they released the full concert on Blu-ray, and I’m glad you’re doing a reaction to this concert. I hope you’ll cover artists like Roger Daltrey, David Bowie, George Michael, Elton John & Axl Rose performing with Queen on this epic night.

There were more people in here audience at the Live Aid duel-venue benefit concert held on Saturday the 13th of July in 1985 as a music-based fundraising initiative for the country of Ethiopia during a deadly drought. The bands at live aid were allowed 20 minutes total of performance time. The band Queen took this opportunity as a challenge and made a concert with many of their music numbers and made use of each & every second of the 20 minutes time slot in which that changed music forever!

Yes, yes! I'm feeling the greatness and excitement over the thousands of miles. Please do the rest of these.
I have vague first-hand memories of this concert being on TV back at the time. I would've been 8 years old, or 7 going on 8; and all I remember is Lisa Stansfield singing These Are The Days Of Our Lives. I was only 8 and I thought it was her song, so I was a bit confused later in 1992 when my dad bought me Queen's Innuendo album. 'Oh, it's a Queen song'. I was too young to really understand it was a tribute concert and what happened to Freddie.

I was at this concert, it was the most emotional concert I have ever been to.It had some fantastic tribute performances. We were so hype by the time we left the arena we partied all night. I saw Queen at their last ever performance at Knebworth and at Wembley. There has never been a frontman as good as Freddy.
Have you seen the crowd singing Bohemian Rhapsody at a Green day concert. If you can make 65,000+ people sing like this after 27 years after your death, you're not a singer but a legend. Here is the link if you want to check it out. th-cam.com/video/cZnBNuqqz5g/w-d-xo.html

If you do end up reacting to it please do this years cinematic which is called "Warriors- League of Legends 2020 Trailer, and for the music they written everything from hip hop to K-Pop. You should also check out a couple of the opening act performances from this concert. Def Leppard performing "Now I'm Here" with Brian May, and the band Extreme performing a Queen medley.

They said that all the groups/performers had to lower the key in their song. Couldn't match Freddie's range!

Hey I know you love Queen. But if you want to listen to great music but also a great story behind the song. Listen to Journey Only the Young. But also their documentary. You will love them

If I was an iconic singer and they were gonna do something like this for me I'd want them to fake like I was dead already and do it so I could see it
