OMGOSH 😲, YOU ARE EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR! I have been so stressed out! I have a client who wants an a grove of aspen or birch in fall colors on lg pallet wood canvas! 4 x 6, IN SPRAY PAINT! I use acrylics, oils and watercolors, spray paint is totally alien to me! Thank you, you have blessed me now than you could ever know! 🙏 THANK YOU!
Wow, that’s phenomenal! I just took in so much information from this video and I’m so excited and inspired… I have a couple of barrels I got secondhand and I wanted to paint a scene on the side and this really gave me the fire I needed. Thank you.❤❤
I'm new at this type of art and I really appreciate the tips thank you so much I was having lots of problems doing bushes but the way you did it it just makes it easier just made a painting and use your advice and it came out really good thank you again
Wow, great technique with the three tones on the brush. Not sure if you’ve done something like this but a tutorial on doing a bridge over river would be useful for me. I’m impressed with your work, thank you so much for making these
@@AshSchultzArtcool, couldn’t get those napkins to work for me, but I haven’t tried bounty ones, do they really make a big difference? Your explanation of the rocks/ ground I found particularly helpful btw, I’ve done spray paintings years ago but having another go now, I feel I’ve had amazing results with doing mountains , thanks
Thank you so much for your video I've been so burned out on watching artists and just not inspired but I think I'm going to go out into the studio and give it another crack feel free to check out my heart bro I keep my profolio on color effects Boise I just found your page on TH-cam I subscribed and I hope to see and learn more from you cuz you are truly one of the best
Idk if you found your answer yet, but you want coated paper, like poster board, where one side is glossy? Spray paint will absorb into regular paper or non coated surfaces
First off that's awesome thanks for the tips and how to use the tools and explain how to use it. That's great I love the fact you tell how to do it other then watching band trying to figure out how to use it. I do have a question. The little brush you use for leaves and bushes what is it where do you buy it from?
Two things: What spray head sizes do you use and recommend.....and what type of “top coat” are you using....as it seems to be really expensive here in Australia. Love your work by the way.
I’m not too picky about the size heads. Some of my cans I brought with me from Vegas where they have the old standard radial spray tips like yours still find on hairspray and stuff, others are the fatter ones that are more typical of spray paint today. I try to avoid the fan tips though. For the top coat I always do a high gloss/gloss finish. It just makes the colors pop more, and usually it’s krylon or rusto for that

They're basic techniques, but the work can still be appreciated. I just saw this shared in a group. Generally I just avoid tutorials and stick to self teaching.
They’re just meant to be the basics. I promise I learned more working with other artists than just figuring things out on my own. You can’t put a price on learning from other people’s experience.
@@AshSchultzArt While your personal preference is respected. I can still learn more without relying on other sources. It's just a matter of imagination and will power. Each path is infinite. It just depends on how far the individual realizes it can go. Personally, I figured out how to work with techniques and ideas that can't be found on TH-cam or other sources. Just thought experiments being visualized and tested with infinite combinations and refining of techniques, while adding more techniques. Take the raw imagined concepts, then try to convert them into techniques which depicted the raw imagined concepts in the mind best.

Yes, for the most part, BUT it’s if the wood is sealed really good so it’s not porous and it would be best to make sure it’s nice and smooth. You could get away with the bushes and basic spraying, but making the texture is where you’ll want it sealed so the paint dormant soak into the wood

What are you using for your shrubs and leaves ?
I use bounty napkins, folded up into a square and then I tear out a half circular shape. I believe I cover that in another video
What are you spraying on it to get it to where you can scrape the paint off
its called clear coat
Hi, what tool do you use to get bushes?
I cover that in my basic video. I use napkins to make a “brush” of sorts
Turning the painting so we can see it straight on would be helpful ,
Does Montana water based paint work good???
I haven’t experimented with them much to be honest, but I do want to play around with the water based stuff and see how it works
