    Nice one Danny. If it works, then it works no matter how simple it looks. 73s.

    Thanks for the video. I used the small one and then took a half round file and made a really snug fit... Great antenna pass thru.

    Great video Danny I would have to do mine the other way cuz my windows closed from side-to-side but it would work out the same way

    • @dannyshortwave
      @dannyshortwave  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can do that side opening windows too. Thank you for watching. Have a good day Jim.

    Love to get rid of my mfj one this one is heavy duty 👍

    • @dannyshortwave
      @dannyshortwave  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes this is heavy duty and cost me nothing to make. I didn't want those extra connectors also. I don't need them. Thank you for watching bro.

    I bought some sticky weather stripping around mine. $6 and keeps out the cold.

    • @dannyshortwave
      @dannyshortwave  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I didn't want to use anything sticky that may leave residue behind. This is a temporary window passthrough. I want to be able to remove it in a matter of minutes. I may rent out this room in the future. But thank you for the suggestion. Thank you for watching. Have a good day.

    I just use a dollar store pool noodle cut to the correct width, slit 1/2 way through, lay the coax in the slit, insulates well too

    What if I don't feel safe leaving the window unlocked?

    • @dannyshortwave
      @dannyshortwave  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Please watch the final video in this series. I used wooden blocks on both the bottom and top window frames to prevent anyone from opening the windows. I do this also for my window air conditioners.

    This one is better than the mfj

      In terms of usage and expansion I agree. I wasn't going to buy that MFJ window passthrough. Cheap and simple solution. Thank you.

    So how do you keep the flies & Bee's from flying thru the pipe pass thru ?

    • @dannyshortwave
      @dannyshortwave  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I stuff the void with plastic bags or spray foam, someone suggest that I cut a pool noodle and lay the coax inside that. I will use plastic bags, I have a lot of store plastic bags, I used them before and never had bugs or bees. Thank you for watching. Have a good day sir.

    The only concern is the bugs getting in

    • @dannyshortwave
      @dannyshortwave  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I will use plastic bags or I can spray some foam to fill in once I get my wires through the PVC. That is not an issue for me here in the second floor.

      Just push a bath sponge into the tube, that'll fit round your wire(s) and keep the critters out.@@dannyshortwave
