My 4 screws that hold the applique on the back are spinning and will not loosen up. Any tips I’m sorta stuck at the moment and cannot reach the plate lights that have broken off
Had the same problem. I ended up just pulling the applique away from the lift gate. It damages the plastic that holds the other end of the bolts. Terrible engineering there. Nuts rust place and the bolts aren't welded into place. So it spins. I just got 3M double sided tape to hold those spots in place. We'll see how long that works
Thank you, Very detailed video. what i am looking for is the plastic or nylon bolts ans the clips that hold the trim to the tailgate. do you have a list of those part numbers and do you sell those parts? it would be a complete waste to buy a new trim piece when all i need is 4 new bolts, 4 nuts nuts and 2 clips.
What size are the clips that you snapped that piece back onto the car with I ripped mine off and I need the clips do you sell them I have a 2014 Chevy suburban
+jkid82XKon Thanks for watching! Those are just push pins and can usually be sourced at your local parts store. We recommend taking one to the store with you if possible and matching it up there! 1aauto.com
+Four_CRAZY_K’s Thanks for checking us out. It depends on which clip it is and how it is broken, unfortunately, we don't have a video specific to just the clips. 1aauto.com
+Charlie Christy Thanks for checking us out! We do not currently offer the item reflected in the video. You may want to try eBay or partsgeek.com. Thank you!

Can you do this without removing the wiper motor?
Is there a way to manually release the rear window glass if you don't have the key fob?
I've been looking for that piece in black for a 2017 Yukon. This is the closest video I've found on removal.
Thank you for this detailed video, I am going to add a backup camera to my 2007 and will have to do this on mine.

Same issue as well.
Finishing Touches - Free spinning nuts and no joy removing appliqué. Even tried cutting them, but space in that area is really tight. Any ideas?
