Layne Staley had one of the best vocal abilities and ranges of all time. It had a certain grain to it, and he could also sing in a way that made it sound like he was screaming, but he wasn't. You need to hear Down In A Hole
Alex Hefner, yea I second your feeling at 3:33 . I was 12-13 when I started playing guitar , never saw my dad much but that side of the family is nothing but musicians and I came home one day and I had a large box waiting for me that my Dad had shipped . I opened it up and it was a box of his CDs he wanted me to have : Alice In Chains , temple of the dog , ministry , helmet , stone temple pilots etc.. out of maybe 40 CDs I will always remember listening to AIC and feeling like I had heard the music before in a past life almost haha. Their music is unreal. You seriously need to dedicate an entire day of listening to Alice In Chains full catalog and even jerry Cantrell’s solo work is amazing .
Alice In Chains and Layne Staley deserved so much more. Always standing in the very big shadow Nirvana and Kurt Cobain casted. Alice In Chains have always been the top dogs of the grunge era, in my opinion.
This is the song that broke them into the big time and i love it, but they have so many more great songs. Jerry Cantrell is a amazing guitar player, and Layne Staley was a great lead singer may he REST IN PEACE.
Glad you liked this. Alice in Chains are such an awesome band. You should check out the Dirt album. It's my favourite. Layne Staley was quite possibly one of the best vocalists ever ♥ More Machine head too please Alex ☺
The reason why this songs feels nostalgic is because no matter what genre of music you’ve preferred we’ve all heard a different type of music before like just because a person prefers hip hop doesn’t mean they haven’t heard it on tv or a neighbor or even a family member playing it, once the human mind hears a song even once it gets put in the memory bank of music Low key I’ve always loved rock, grunge and death metal but you try being a black girl explaining that genre to Christian parents in a military household! I would’ve gotten the belt, an exorcism and abandoned at the church! 🤣😂😳
Layne was out of this world and still is. Nobody will even come close to the sound and feeling that man gave. Absolutely legendary. RIP Layne. Hope you found peace

aw, Layne sounds so cool, thanks for sharing!
Beautiful post.
Alice in Chains is the shit! You must listen to more.
I missed them first time round, but Layne Staley has a vibrato to die for.
I love alice in chains, RIP Layne Staley😞
and RIP Mike Starr
Layne Staley had one of the best vocal abilities and ranges of all time. It had a certain grain to it, and he could also sing in a way that made it sound like he was screaming, but he wasn't. You need to hear Down In A Hole
Layne is the best vocalist for me 🤘🏻😭
para mim também.
Olga Helga no one can ever out do the Legendary Layne!
@@amarcos BR aqui.... aí sim!!!
true dat
It's not an opinion, it's a fact
Alice in Chains-Would?
Sad that this is his first time hearing this song. Better than never i suppose.
Starlitos Way welcome to one of the greatest bands in the last 30 years
Plot twist, this dude has heard every song by everyone. BOOM!
Like a stone - Audioslave
He already did....
nope.. If he did ı can't find it
Alice In Chains - Love Hate Love specifically the live at the Moore performance. Also Nutshell is an incredible AIC song.
Listen to Susan Love Hate live will give you chills!
*Alice in Chains- Rooster*
Alice In Chains and Layne Staley deserved so much more. Always standing in the very big shadow Nirvana and Kurt Cobain casted. Alice In Chains have always been the top dogs of the grunge era, in my opinion.
Sea of Sorrow would be nice, thank you Alex.
Alice In Chains - Would? Even better :D
No, this one is way better:c
would? by aic is a must
This is the song that broke them into the big time and i love it, but they have so many more great songs. Jerry Cantrell is a amazing guitar player, and Layne Staley was a great lead singer may he REST IN PEACE.
Yes bro listen to Would, the nostalgia is REAL
Alice in Chains - Bleed the Freak
My favorite song by AIC
Glad you liked this. Alice in Chains are such an awesome band. You should check out the Dirt album. It's my favourite. Layne Staley was quite possibly one of the best vocalists ever ♥
More Machine head too please Alex ☺
The reason why this songs feels nostalgic is because no matter what genre of music you’ve preferred we’ve all heard a different type of music before like just because a person prefers hip hop doesn’t mean they haven’t heard it on tv or a neighbor or even a family member playing it, once the human mind hears a song even once it gets put in the memory bank of music
Low key I’ve always loved rock, grunge and death metal but you try being a black girl explaining that genre to Christian parents in a military household! I would’ve gotten the belt, an exorcism and abandoned at the church! 🤣😂😳
Tenacious D - Kickapoo
Tomas - yes.
YES!!!!!!
...but, yay there was a black sheep, and he knew just what to do.
I hear you brave young jables you are hungry for the rock
Fuck yea
Would? By Alice in Chains next please!
Yes! And Bleed the Freak!
And Them Bones
Alice In Chains is one of the best ever bands. Please, Please dive more into them bro! You'll Love It.
Just react to every song they've made... lol
2:20 his face when he realised he missed out on one of the best rock bands in history 😂 it’s killing me
Try Them Bones by Alice In Chains, it is a 2 minute tune, but will blow you away.
One of my all time favorites
Behemoth-Ov Fire And The Void
Pearl Jam - Black live unplugged!
Layne was out of this world and still is. Nobody will even come close to the sound and feeling that man gave. Absolutely legendary. RIP Layne. Hope you found peace
Do a seattle grunge reactions
Alice in chains

Mother love bone
Temple of the dog
Almost same people mixed up between those bands
