Another great reaction my friend , you must try Phoenix ,& Way of the World from the No Smoke Without Fire album, you'll definitely love that one ,great tempo changes , light & shade ,power & dynamics & of course the searing guitar work ..!! Enjoy 😊
I definitely recommend that you check out this whole album (like you did the early YES albums). The second side of this album is some of their best work ever IMO (2 long songs, *Handy* & *Phoenix* ) You will be thrilled...
They always deliver in the 70s and into the 80s, as long as Ted Turner or Laurie Wisefield is on guitar with Andy Powell, you are golden. Try the original studio audio for Persephone, the guitar is beyond gorgeous. Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶🔥
Martin Turner, the bassist, was usually the lead singer their first few albums, although I think Ted Turner sang lead on this song & also on Jailbait (not on this album)
Gotta love a Texas boogie, babyyyyyy 😍Great band. Clutch ripped off the intro/interstitial riff, I forget the track but it was on The Elephant Riders. Give Clutch a listen if you've not.
Good swinging number with, as you pointed out, zestful and skilful drumming by Steve Upton, from their first very accomplished album!
That's Ted Turner on vocals.
