It has nothing to do with understanding.. who ever you chooses take good time before marriage.. that's why they keep a gap between engagement and marriage. Understand a lot about the guy.. don't come to a conclusion with just one or two meets.. I mean bcz initial meets la both will be focusing of impressing each other and tend to act very smart and artificial and very ADJUSTING.. but never go with that opinion.. take some time try to become frnds.. you be urself in all the meets and don't change any of your habits. The same should be with the guy. If both of you like the same then you can choose that guy. Need not be like both should have same thought process or similar taste.. but both should understand and respect each other's that's what is required in a long term commitment. Most importantly speak out loud about whats your opinion about marriage truly and again not with the Moto of impressing the guy. Get to know his opinion also. What you want from marriage life.. how you going to plan your personal Carrier life.. both of you should discuss. This is happening in so many families now-a-days, as there is no joint family set up now. For example, if there is a ferocious bull-dog manager in Office, he would get the beautiful current New Year Diary or calendar and a smooth butter-manager would get only a 10 years old diary (imagine it as Service), because he is a Good Harmless Man with no nuisance-value, no shouting, whereas the bull-dog manager will create problems for survival in office and his target dates are honoured. Good husbands are made as Sombu-managers by wives. I lived a happy married life till date(65 years). But I see lot of unhappiness among youngsters. The present culture is that the husband should honour all the wishes of his wife without any constraints. As a doctor you have to tell why this is happening in families.
