To get back at joel you need to make a horse course so popular that it forces him to compete and actually use a horse. Also it would be pretty full circle for the etho confusion.
That beautiful new grass biome is just begging for a race course. BDub's next video can be titled, "A Horse Course Runs Through It". 😁😆

Introduction
1. The horse slaughter and its consequences have been a disaster for the horse race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in “advanced” Minecraft servers, but they have destabilized hermitcraft, have made life unfulfilling, have subjected horse's to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the end to the overworld as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the Minecraft world. The continued development of joel will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject horses to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the Minecraft world world, it will probably lead to greater social disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in hermitcraft.

1. Curse of binding horse head.
2. On the billboard in Joel’s base, replace Joel’s face with a horse head.

The curse of binding head would be easy if Joel had his own xp dispenser in his base.
Bdubs needs to do the curse of binding horse head to Joel on his last life in a future Life series.
You should make a kill chamber for Joel where he is forced to watch a horse walk over a pressure plate that triggers his death.

You could put shulk sensors that trigger horse noises around his city. Haunted by the voices of the horses he's killed, horse curse
As long as it's normal horse noises, then Joel might lose his mind trying to find it so he could kill it, if it's the death-shriek then Joel's gonna thank him for the "peaceful" ambiance.
waterlogged sensors specifically so they don't make the funky noise and tip him off :p

If joel likes the sound of the horses, put a load of jukeboxes under his base playing horse noises, none stop. Let him hear the ghost of all the horses he has killed over and over
Horses are patient. Haunt Joel with the terrible cries of the slaughter he unleashed. The occasional noteblock, playing the dying sound of a horse, hidden somewhere in his base, just chiming in once in awhile. Maybe a few of them here and there. The horrible screams eventually annoying him, quilting him, haunting him.
He searches for the hidden noteblocks and he finds them.
But it's a dummy noteblock, the one making the sound is hidden beneath the obvious one. The dummy noteblock, attached to an observer -- a bomb.

bdubs, you are truly a master of your craft. the custom grassland biome, the leaves in the water to look like duckweed, the little campfire, it's all so unique to the way people look at minecraft. you truly have an eye for design
An obsidian cage with a raveger or to named horse curse or horse so in his death messages is going to be that over and over again, or maybe send a bomb homedelivery with pearl?
I love the atmosphere of that grass area. The campfire in the middle of it maybe with some log benches or something would add so much to it next to the mountain. Like people were in the area a long time ago and now the grass has overgrown. It just adds so much life to an area when you have little stories that can be told. People think that you have to add giant stuff to an area to do this but adding subtle small areas like that do just as good or a better job of it
The little campsite that makes your eye follow the smoke up the mountain and into the sky, makes me think of the Oppenheimer biopic.

wouldnt it be nice to extend the forest a bit more, so the fields feels more secluded and special, like a hidden little gem. the gate to bdubs's narnia.
There is such good feel walking through the short grass biome, you really get the scale and the wild feeling going between the patches of 2 tall grass. I think an overgrown path winding through the biome going between the tall patches would be awesome
Mojang should add a splash potion of bonemeal. On a side note. Who remembers when Bdubs was being pranked to the point of Bdubs not showing the pranks by E. Before we learned who E was. This battle between Joel, and him brought that memory back up. Maybe it's time for Bdubs to become E.

Glad you put the night time view of the campfire at the end coz I wanted to see the effect (maybe a bit more clearing around it woult make it more obvious) I do like the effect at night

Make a huge horse statue and build a creeper farm in it BUT do not kill the creepers.

At the end , the "I love you to death !" really hit me.
In your last video you mentioned how building a large tree atop the spike could make it look smaller. By that logic, building miniature two/three block trees could hypothetically give off the illusion that the spike is much, much larger in scale..
Horse lure! Joel comes in to slaughter the horse and a TNT trap goes off (but the horse is protected because you put it in water or something). He respawns in a kill chamber and you collect his heads with it, then use them to make a billboard on the cyberpunk city wall facing Joel's city that says "HORSE IS GREAT"
Also I love the short grass biome despite what a time-sink it was, it's very lovely, the ferns break things up beautifully and the sprouts are an inspired addition.
A part of me thinks that maybe, the effect of adding colour to the grass would be better if the spots of colour appeared less often but in larger groups. Also having a path going through might be good for scale
Maybe a giant horse-head hologram, similar to how you made your own head in previous season, shooting up out of one of his cyber-buildings? It would be so awesome he couldn't bring himself to remove it, the one horse that remains, glaring at him. :D
A note for the campfire, it is good for scale, however it needs walking/hiking paths through the grass, maybe to a small dock? Somethign to lead the eye to it a little more.
When Bdubs said "i think it will look super fluffy" i swear i could hear Doc screaming from miles away "IM NOT FLUFFY!!!"
I made a great suggestion last video, I'm back to say again, team up with Tango, make a raid farm and fill a Trojan horse with ravagers named a horse.

Raid farms are over. You have to drink ominous bottles now to get a raid
@@lomiification No they're not over, you just have to drink one every 30 to 45 minutes. given the drops it gives, that's more than a fair price. There's newer raid designs utilizing this mechanic I believe.
Maybe hiding records of horses neighing, or even the heads on a noteblock throughout Joel's base, and putting them on a random timer like Grian and Skizz did for the wandering trader head.

Steal his stuff and trap him in an obstacle course. He must use a horse to complete the course and earn his stuff back. The course in not possible to complete without a horse. Maybe this will teach him to appreciate horses. You can get Etho to let you sneak into Frogger's innards while Joel is playing and get all his stuff.
Booby trap mail idea: rig Joel's mailbox to explode when he presses the send mail button. Perfect content for redstone with bdubs!!

The solution is clear - you have to make a horse course that can only be completed by the FASTEST and JUMPIEST horse imaginable, and you have to ride your own personal horse. This will force Joel to breed thousands of horses and spend countless hours with horses. Then he will finally get the perfect horse which he will love and cherish forever.

A Horse course might be a fun thing to build infront of the forrest or behind the mountains.
Picturing the Ravager game winning Hermits, back in the late 70s hanging around slot machines with their stacks of quarters, never getting tired or bored...just winning.
You should build him a trojan horse. Just a big wooden horse as a "reconciliation gift", but when he removes it something happens maybe it's filled with skeletons or smthg like that)
There may be a statue in Joel's base juggling something that should swap for the state's head and then the statue can juggle some... beans, smallish beans...
Revenge idea 2:
Build a bunch of minecart TNT traps under Joel's walkways but don't put down the pressure plates.
When Joel upsets you again, repave all the walkways with pressure plates.

That thumbnail image, and Bdubs' base in general, is so beautiful, and it's in exactly the kind of style I've always hoped I'd see more of in general. It's the _distances_ that do it for me, combined with close up details and places with even more details clustered there, ie the buildings in particular. I feel like I comment about the world download too much but I can't wait to just _roam_ the Bdubslands...

there's a "fluffier grass" mod that makes grass fill up the square quite nicely. gives pokemon tall grass vibes if that picks anyones fancy
Youre truly an artist bdubs. Sacrificing your time for the sake of the details is what separates someone who does art from a passionate artist and you might be the goat of perfecting the small details bdubs. In my opinion watching you build your base this season, it feels like I'm watching michelangelo painting the sistine chapel.

Bdubs should make a magnificent statue of a horse by Joel’s base, a statue so beautiful and detailed that he can’t bring himself to tear it down, of his least favourite animal. Thats better payback than revenge

And the extra little rocks really add to it and make the big mountain kinda fit in better

May I suggest building a facsimile of the score board, taking a screen shot of your score at a number with 4 digits (which is impossible) and waiting for them to catch it.
I doubt my comment will be seen, but I wanted to remind you that a lot of the original and old homesteads, with things like you are building, had a good view of the flat plains. Yeah there were mountains, but there is and was something to be said for being able to look out and just imagine the potential, without actually building on it. It was a beauty and majesty thing.
If he likes killing horses so much, you should give him 1 more to. Preferably a large one... Made with obsidian. Its not super original but could be fun to make a black stead mixing some other blocks for texture of course.
Grass goes a long way, don't undermine it's importance to the picture. Very aesthetically pleasing build. 🌾

The closing scene with the fade out in the sunset looks so epic. I would beg to differ, the effort does match the reward.
It really didn't take Bdubs long to go full Unibomber in response to Joel. He just needs to figure out how to make it happen. But there IS actually a way to do it if use a water-logged skulk sensor at the power level of the shulker opening.
