I heard a whisper for Holloway Boy and had a nice wager e.w , not many can win first time out at Royal Ascot i remember the great Chief Singer doing it in the Coventry and Karl Burke is a really great and VERY shrewd trainer he knows his onions alright
He's the only horse I'd be following, potential group one horse, with the breeding to go a trip.
@@iansmith587 very nice horse and Ulysses is doing OK at stud expect his fee to rise alot from the 10,000 currently superb weeks racing , he travelled REALLY well during the race always a good sign and even more doing it first time out in the Chesham

Tremendous video - gutsy horse said the commentator in the jersey but also from Billy Buick who rode so great.
I would have done very well on day 4 if I played and I think day 5 I would have done likewise - tremendous meeting.
I found the ride on missed the cut hilarious and I suspect the jockey may have been guided on how to keep the horse straight by stewards and maybe a slap on the wrist.
I am reading a book currently that has brought my mind to the first race in n that plenty of those types have won first time out like that and I think Christmas is paid for - some of the forecasts I would have had on day 4 and 5 are eye watering - I am a tremendous judge I think in some of these festivals - I liked the winner of Moore at 6-1 which I think would have been in several doubles or trixies and I would have definitely had Buick on the Jersey winner.
Oh well.
Race 4, bet for place on 17 Naval C. and paired with 3 Creative F. for quinella place. Its made my day. 😊
Nature Strip started the meeting with a bang. The jockey rode 3 winners amazing rider. Ryan Moore Daniel Tudhope and Will Buick all rode fantastic races. Tudhope should get more rides he's a top class jockey. Great to see international horses here. Shame Wesley Ward not on the score board as he's always supported Ascot for USA. Wish we had more staying types coming sprints don't do it for most race fans. In time maybe we will see that happening.
I'm just wondering whether Ward would come less to Ascot in the future after such failure this time since horse racing in the US focuses more on dirt which makes his idea is much lightly supported.
@@myfrobertHe's the type of trainer who will go back to U.S. and be planning next year. He's competitive here on the turf and had some bad luck this time.
2 of Ward's fillies did very well. Love Reigns came a close 4th and Campanelle 3rd. Having Golden Pal flop really stings but a staright course that ends with an uphill climb doens't suit him. I love Nature Strip but on a 2 turn flat course Golden Pal is unbeatable as his record proves. Horses for courses and Ascot isn't his. I love watching the Irish/English/French turf races as they're the best in the world overall. But we have by far the best dirt horses in the US. If you're unfamiliar with them right now Flightline, Jackie's Warrior and Jack Christopher are bascially Baaeed on dirt. TH-cam their their races on Belmont day from last week - scary fast.
@@suemaher5282 Yes. By the way, I hope a little bit that some of those Aussie gallopers could show themselves up in the BC series, although it is pretty unlikely since there have already been something big and rich to take at home, which makes such a trip pretty unnecessary. This time probably means Nature Strip could take the chance for the real showdown against Golden Pal, which was defeated at Ascot in a way not really upon the race itself.

The times on American turf tracks don’t compare favourably to similar turf tracks in Australia.

What is it with races in the UK? I've never watched so many races with riderless horses, usually unseated at the start. Can't even blame a fall.
Next time you do this sort of video get a quick couple seconds of the odds before the race please

Fixed! Don't waste your time betting on horse racing.
That is good advice but not because the races are "fixed". There are so many moving parts it is difficult to put them all together. It is impossible to know what the intentions of the owners and trainers are and what instructions the jockey has been given. Then the race itself throws up many imponderables such as the going and the way each horse decides to cooperate. To imagine that any race could be "fixed" is fantasy. Nevertheless it is a crap shoot. The punters know this but keep on trying their luck.
I want to see live race here and this is my long wish please invite to me.
