for people new to rollers or have a hard time on them, cheap fix is get an old clothes rack along side it to hold on to at start up or get a solid box to step off next to it
The thing with rollers is that actually riding on them is fine when you have enough cadence. When you have a really low cadence you just can't stay straight and balanced, hence why getting on the is so hard.
If you wanna start on the rollers. Hold one hand of your handle bars and the other hand on the walls. Using your shoulders would just push you off the rollers, as you probably noticed lol. This worked for me at least. As soon as you are comfortable with the rolling you can do it with no hands really fast. :)
Getting started on my Tacx rollers was a scary SCARY affair at first! I rode off the trainer and into the family entertainment system on day 1! 🤣 I can watch a complete soccer game while riding it now.
