  • In this video, I will tell you how I protect my motorcycle from being stolen. The security of your motorcycle should be priority number one, especially when you travel. It is so obvious because if you don't have a motorcycle you cannot travel with it.

    Saying theft protection should be Priority One really does finally get the point across to suckers like me.

    I use a grip lock, 2 wheel locks, a cover, a U-lock through the rear wheel, AND I tether the rear wheel to a tall concrete barrier pole with a cable.

    I had a similar product on my daughter's 125cc scooter. Sadly thieves smashed the hell out of the lock damaged the disc , wheel and brake caliper. Thankfully local people knew it was my daughters scooter and stopped them from pushing it away.
    I think if someone wants it so bad they will find a way to steal it.

      I disagree. There is a law that any other device Android, or another iphone will detect the airtag, and let you know that you are being "tagged" so any thief would know within 5 minutes that he/she is being tracked. At least in germany

    paying subscription after you already buy the product is stupid idea of modern times, like now you pay netflix and then pay again to get version without ads, etc. they are pushing bad business models. gps tracker with sim or a cheap phone with gps app hidden away in the bike is much better, you only park for 1-2 days at most and you can recharge, nobody needs gps security if you garage park for 3 months in winter

      I just gaffa tape asamsung smart tag to my bike. Solution costs about $20 and you can track location. I've been using the same tag on my bike for about 3 years now. Not foolproof but at least you can track your stolen bike cheaply without subscription service.

  • @PeterR0035

    Don't give bad advice because you get a sponsored product for free... you can NOT use your own SIM card in the Monimoto, the Monimoto sim card is soldered/fixed in the newer models. You could only do that with the Monimoto 5 model. And with your own sim card in that, the service is completely free... You also forget to mention the most important part; Monimoto needs GPS signal, so mounting it underneath a petrol tank will not work. Same when 3 people lift your motorcycle in a van; no more GPS signal and no more tracking. Any kind of anti theft protection for a motorbike is only possible when it is attached to a fixed object. I made my own device with 3 tire levers; double function. Alarms or trackers are a bonus but with little added value.

    • @motorcycleadventures
      @motorcycleadventures  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      It is true about the sim card. Not true about Van, and recommended it because I use it. Also, if you notice it, I said to use it with two more levels of protection. So the advice is not bad, just because you think so!
