The bank vault at the end was literally a car in a lot of shots. They built a custom car that looked like a vault so when the vault is swinging around corners in the city, there is a guy inside looking through a tiny little slit and making those turns. It's really cool how far they went NOT to just use CGI.
I think once the Rock showed up, it became War of the Egos It was in Vin, The Rock, and Jason's contract that they all get equal amount of hits and no winners
oh absolutely, I totally agree. To compensate for the lack of story, pump up the action scenes and set pieces to such a high degree of ridiculousness. How else are they going to pump out more sequels?
Fast and Furious 1 through 4 dipped their toes in crazy. Fast and Furious 5 started to swim in crazy. Fast and Furious 6 through 10 full on dived into crazy.

Everyone always talks about the tower scene but what got me was the part where Dom stomps the roof of the parking garage and causes it to implode. And the part where Dom launches the car towards the helicopter and perfectly places a bag of bombs on the bottom of it. 😒

Dom's Charger has always had a full roll cage in it even in the first movie. That's how he managed to flip it over that semi truck during the final race against Brian and the orange Supra and walk away with only a busted up arm and shoulder.
The "Brazilian guys" Leo and Santos have come back a few times. They cameo’d in F8 helping transport Shaw and his mom… and on F9, through flashback we see them meet Dom in prison, and later in the movie Santos is at the BBQ, and says Leo has opened a restaurant in NYC. Don Omar (Santos) and Tego Calderon (Tego Leo) are Puerto Rican Reggateon artists the were speaking Spanish, they were supposed to be Dominican street racers/friends. In Fast 9 another Reggaeton artist from PR played young Santos, Ozuna and they added Cardi B Almost all of the Brazil set pieces were filmed in Puerto Rico including most of the vault stuff. They had a dummy vault mounted to a truck w a small eye hole for the driver to perform stunts in truck.
You're dead wrong about The Rock's lines. They weren't dumb, they were very entertaining, his lines brought tons of charisma to this Franchise, charisma that was sorely lacking after his departure later on.
I STILL miss Vince. They really did do him so dirty. Especially cause Vince was totally right that Brian was a cop from the beginning. And Vince also called out Dom on Letty. Also, Vince is the only one with a wife and kid who he looks pretty happy with, so he arguably has the highest stakes to lose. Yet they STILL killed him off 😭

I have to commend this film for one thing. As an Asian male it was refreshing to see the Asian guy get with the smoking hot white woman, and no one brought attention to it. Also, the way Han was portrayed, you can see why Giselle would like him. And they did make a cute couple.

"it almost like the car put its leg out and tripped the bus" 🤣
Actually the insanity started in Fast 4 when Dom holds a 800lbs car engine from falling on a guy with one hand by a rope
Exactly !
Dom drinks milk with biscuits before going to bed every single day, so he is capable of doing that with ease.
& that opener with the gas trucks spinning in Dom's way.
THANK YOU!! 😂😂😂
Now he's lifting up cars 1 handed
This one is actually my favorite! That last chase with them swinging that vault through the streets of Rio is amazing!
