I never knew ducks really enjoy being around people like that. They look like a handful, but they also look like an endless amount of fun. Such adorable personalities. :')
I like how when he opens the door to bring them in, they are all just standing there hanging out, like they were just shooting the breeze & talking about their day till they had to go in. Made me laugh, soooo cute!
Wonderful!! I had a pet duck called Judy for 18 years back in Holland. Loved her to bits. She'd go to sleep on my hand as I was watching telly. She'd start quacking when I whistled through my teeth.
woah im emotive i almost cried when I saw this video. Im so touched when people love and take care of animals others then just cats and dogs. it shows that some people are still really good beyond the prejudices of other pets. A lots of love into this, congrats!
Wonderful beds! Very safe and secure. We also had a recent Daffy/Daphne situation that also worked out as Daffy. I love how tame they are with you. Call ducks are the best. I also only noticed near the end that you have a mini lop just like ours. Great coincidences!
Always thank you :) They are all tucked up for the night now they all came in at about 7,30 on their own. I just made a coffee and checked on them they are all asleep with heads under there wings. :)

During the freezing winter months looking out of the window in the duck room with frost ice and snow coming down you look back and see all my babies sat down dozing warm fed and watered in there runs. Feels good sure does feel good they have no idea how comfy there little world is as they don't know anything else. :)

Really sweet. We have a wild mallard hen who nests in our backyard every spring. Our pool is the first water her babies experience. After two days, she walks them through the neighborhood to an adjacent pond. It's so nice to see how much you care for these amazing birds. I hope they are still around.

I sure do I have a " man cave " you see and when I extended it a few years ago I fitted it out with recycled kitchen and living room materials that a friend of mine was throwing into the skip as he was renovating his home. So it looks like a living room more than a duck house hehehe :~)

My wife and I have a female Peking duck named Aflac (AKA: silly goose--because we always call her a silly goose). She will be a year old on September 22nd. She makes a wonderful pet and we love her very much. She wears a diaper inside and outside has her pen and children's pool to swim in. Ducks make great pets and are very good with children. Just like any animal, Ducks take time to train and require love and care. But make no mistake, once they begin to love you, a wonderful friendship begins that never ends. Aflac follows me around the yard when I mow the grass and loves to come inside--even though she isn't fond of her diaper :)
@Naiuhz That is Honey and she is a Lop Eared Rabbit my friend had a female {her mum} and she mated her with another lop eared rabbit so we could have the pick of the litter. She,s my daughters rabbit but we both look after her and my ducks if im late home from work. I made a new run last week ware those lawn mowers were and at 11pm at night i was cutting wood with a chop saw she was sound asleep never even opened an eye she is so used to that sort of stuff :)

I don't have a net as I have a solid roof over the pond now it used to be a cane covered roof but it got a bit weather beaten so I put a solid roof on it and covered it with felt. I have seen a few Herons about but there is a pond nearby and they hang around there mostly. :~)

@bignboo hahaha classic mate. The white ducks was just a lucky dip i was next on the list and turned out they were a breeding pair.One of the next vids will be staring my budgie he is a complete nutter and is not scared of anything.

Well that wont be a problem because i had a ginger tom named Timmy he passed away in 2000 and was the grand old age of 19 loved him to bits a "lap cat" indoor at night out during the day he was lovley :)
My friend and I were raising money outside of a Burger King early this summer and we found a duckling about 2 weeks old running in front of cars so we brought it to her house and made it a soft bed in a box with water and we looked up how to care for it as best we could, but she died the next day. Good for you taking such good care of your animals :)

And when i was younger i just worked and worked and worked to get ware we are now. So i/ we sit back abit now and enjoy our pets and animals. :) The wife is camra shy to i take up the slack :)
This makes me remember fondly the ducks our neighbor had. She had a nice big pond for them as well, but occasionally they'd head over to our house to see what was up.. usually when a car was being washed. She always hosed down the driveway before dinner, so that was their queue. And they knew me as well, so if they headed over, they were there visiting for most of the day. :)

Omg I freakin love Duck and am obsessed with animals, also have ducks n turkeys n dwarf rabbits, omg I seen ure vid n me n my daughter screamed laughing cause how u kissed n sniffed the ducks, like we do n especially with our Turkey taco. aww. He passed away very happy. :~)
They want to stay out for a little longer in other words they love being in the garden all day and they just want to stay outside. But it is getting dark so its time to come in. :~) If you watch some of my other vids like "im Home" you will see they are sure not cautious around me that's for sure. Hi Thank you for the nice comments :) Yes all what you see in the vids all the rooms the entire building duck rooms plumming lights the lot i built it. I didnt like the thought of leaving them outside id rather they be inside safe and warm in the winter and just safe in the summer. As they are all part of the family i just built space for them. when i extended the workshop i built the extension with ducks in mind and doors to outside was fitted so they could get in and out easly.

just came across this - have had 2 ducks for a few months now, they're so much fun - they're my garden employees - they eat bugs and slugs and snails for me. I have a dog, husky/border collie, and they have learned to have fun together - for a pond, I use a plastic sandbox that's also watertight, it's really easy to keep clean - dog and ducks are often in together - the dog stands up in there, the ducks swim around her legs :)

Great accommodation for your ducks, I incubated 3 mallards, kept them in a brooder for three weeks until they produced their own heat then let them have a roam of the garden. Didn't handle them much during the first 3 days so I didn't imprint on them too much. Still chased me around the garden and chirped at me when they

one of my parrots does the same thing if i put my foot up on the stool she will jump onto my feet and try to bite my toes.

just came across this - have had 2 ducks for a few months now, they're so much fun - they're my garden employees - they eat bugs and slugs and snails for me. I have a dog, husky/border collie, and they have learned to have fun together - for a pond, I use a plastic sandbox that's also watertight, it's really easy to keep clean - dog and ducks are often in together - the dog stands up in there, the ducks swim around her legs :)

Great accommodation for your ducks, I incubated 3 mallards, kept them in a brooder for three weeks until they produced their own heat then let them have a roam of the garden. Didn't handle them much during the first 3 days so I didn't imprint on them too much. Still chased me around the garden and chirped at me when they
