  • Hi, in this fly tying tutorial I tie a streamer fly which you can use for large species in saltwater as well for pike or bigger fishes in freshwater. It is pretty simple to tie and generally imitates larger baitfish! If you like my content please subscribe to my channel or leave a like. You also can comment un the comment section.
I want to raise that this fly is highly inspired by a fly pattern I have seen here on youtube in a video form "dark side of pike".
    Thanks for watching my videos

I feel these will be a great fly for my area. Can these bait fish imitations be weighted, and if so how much and the hook position of the weight? Thank you for sharing!

Yes sure you can put weight on it… I would take a lead wire and tie it in first and than secure it with the thread and some water resistant Super glue… I potentially would not put too much in, but this is my personal taste… Also I would may position the lead in the 1st third to the hook eye so the fly gets an jiggy action…
      Hope this helps!
      Always tight lines!
