Gio is a veeeery good driver. Getting a pole on his first try (he did got a penalty but still) and all the praise he got from the Ferrari drivers during his stint as a Sim Driver for the F1 team kinda explains why he is in the car with Pier Guidi and James.
Those who REALLY know how to follow motorsport know that Sauber clearly sabotaged him in his final F1 season. Everytime he was outperforming Kimi (It was frequent) he would get screwed by the team in some kind of way. I am a huge F1 fan but unfortunately no motorsport category is as politically polluted as F1. Sabotages are a thing there and Antonio was just one of the many victims
@@markokozicNo, Mick just wasn’t there mentally with Haas. Made a lot of mistakes and I absolutely understand that the Haas was a shitbag of a car, but he didn’t show what he needed, especially to Gunther. Mick just fucked up imp.
This is such a great way to bring WEC alive, it can be hard to follow without putting in a lot of effort but turning it into a narrative like this with onboard footage really brings you into the action. Would love to see a preview for Le Mans and definitely a post-race recap like this
Coming here to say that I was GLUED to the screen the entire 16 minutes. PLEASE keep doing this format consistently and you WILL get a massive following. Nobody else does this for endurance racing. I haven't followed it personally because it is hard to follow, the races are long, and often I'm busy. Race recaps don't bring the magic like this does. Keep bringing the magic :)
This is not only very a informative and well narrated analysis, but is also really good to get people into this kind of racing. A lot of sportscar racing centered channels, while great, seem to be stuck in Group C/GT1 nostalgia. Glad to see someone is telling the stories that are happening now, doing justice to these cars that will eventually become iconic and getting people to know the drivers behind the wheel. Nice job!
I got this video on my recommended feed, and subscribed! Great analysis. I was there too, and watching the outlaps of the Ferraris was pure pain. Sad to see Toyota running with the W basically uncontested, but hoping to see a good fight in Le Mans after the BoP (and tyre warmers).
Absolutely loving your retrospective commentary on these races. Even if I watched the race already, you provide a great summary from a particular car's perspective thats impossible to appreciate live - please never stop!
This was an outstanding review of this race. Great editing to tell a story of Ferrari being Ferrari. I’ve never watched this race series, but now I’m interested. Of course, Spa helps. Giovinazzi had his hands full with those tires. F1 is going to have a tough time adopting tires without blankets, based on how these cars struggled.
Loving the commentary on your vids. This is what is so hard to find when the races are so long and not always broadcast everywhere. Appreciate your edits and efforts to comment on all the action! Keep it up!
I watched all your iracing gr86 track guide videos last season, and i really appreciate the video where you analyzed your own race at tsukuba. Really happy to see more analysis videos like this. These videos have been a great way for me to get into endurance racing!
Really good commentary, this was better than half the highlights i've seen! Nice to see an American taking an interest in the best racing that only takes part in Europe!
These commentaries of showing a primary team POV with your choice of what to explain what's going on with the cars he's against at each point is fantastic.
Peak racing content! Thank you so much for getting us up to speed on what's happening! Your commentary is very insightful and the passion is clearly felt
Thank you for your video! I'm F1 fan and I didn't familiar with WEC, so It is so useful to enjoy this year of 24H Lemans. Thanks for your great video again. And keep it up!
Great work man i would watch any race you would make comments on. GT3 GT4 WEC keep it up. I watched the other videos until the end as well you are good at what you do
First time watching endurance racing and your commentary made me wanna watch more! That was exciting! Was watching some F1 races and your video popped in the suggestions, glad I clicked. No I want to get into understanding endurance racing.
I was at the race ... Two things ... I'm a massive F1 fan, but WEC offers an excellent fan experience. Pit walk, access to every grandstand, etc. The different categories on track. It's awesome. It's so much fun. I can't recommend attending one of these races enough. And trust me, the level of professionalism (I know one of the drivers) is top-notch (not just drivers but also the teams, etc). Secondly, I agree with the request of a few teams in regards to the tire warmers. The pace difference when a car exits the pitlane is a little too steep and dangerous. I wanted to go to Le Mans for one of the training sessions, but can't make it ... However, I SOOOOO look forward to the race. I haven't looked forward to it like this in ... many many years. Lastly, this channel is awesome and you have a bright future ahead of you, as part of the sport.
video popped up on my recommended and this is awesome content. Its hard to follow WEC due to the lack of coverage but you did an awesome job. Keep up the solid content, excited for tmrw with Ferrari on pole
Thankyou for this awesome content. It turns ae endurance race which is tricky to find the time to watch completely for some, into a digestible story line, while really putting how interesting that race was. Perfect on boards, especially the wet tyre pitsop footage. Now i can check into LeMans knowing that the Pug has tyres that are too small and a concept that isnt quite working (reminds me of Nissan), and that Toyota is still in their untouchable era.
First time seeing one of your videos and channel and just want to say that the commentary is excellent and exciting. It makes for a really fun recap for someone that missed the race. Definitely looking forward to the next one!
The 499P is really a fast car, unfortunatly this alone isn't enough to win a 24h race, and AF Corse showed showed some weaknesses in the management of the race. However, I am happy because the car has a lot of potential.
I agree with one of the other commenters who pointed out the incredible level of engagement you bring to the spectator's experience. I have been binge watching your videos and I believe there is no comparison with the usual way of watching a race. I think you could take any previously broadcast race and have the same affect, if you could get your hands on the in-car video... Just thinking of the great hill vs Shumaker F1 races or any of the hundreds of old rivalries... I don't know how you get all the in-car video now or if it is just what was broadcast or what but you should think about that... If you haven't already, that is... oh I'm gonna feel dumb if this is something you have already done... Lol
I was there watching the race from the side of the track as track marshal at the entry of pif paf on the right and those LmH cars are incredible to see can't wait to see le mans
Your way of commentating the race is simply outstanding. One enjoys listening to you! And the race of the #51 Ferrari has been neatly summarized by you. Respect to you and keep up the good work. Much love :*
These are amazing videos mate. I see it's a relatively new channel content wise but it looks like you've found a great little niche as no one else is doing videos quite like these. Keep it up, it's great content.
Giovinazzi impressing the hell outta me, was unsure how i felt after his Formula E stint but im really loving what im seeing
Gio is a veeeery good driver. Getting a pole on his first try (he did got a penalty but still) and all the praise he got from the Ferrari drivers during his stint as a Sim Driver for the F1 team kinda explains why he is in the car with Pier Guidi and James.
I imagine he didn’t have the passion for formula E like he did in f1 and as he does for Wec

@@giuseppemaggio5894 im 100% with you on all of your points my good sir. Question if you please, do you think that Mick had a similar situation in F1?

I second this. I watched the Kevin Estre vid and came straight here. These are good!
YES EXACTLY!!!
They Did It
Le Mans Champions
Writing was on the wall..Ferrari were quick and destained for Lemans glory great Vid!!
Forza Ferrari 💪
Loving these videos! I don't have time fo follow the whole WEC but these are such nice summary stories from the races.
Exactly mate
Best race comments ever. You really help us to understand whats happening. Will follow you from now on.
Fast-forward to today yes car number 51 truly hold their nerve and got them the lemans win
Your content really stands out I enjoy every second of it .... Great work 👏

Tire warmers should definitely bring ferrari into the fight. Le Mans will be epic. I think Porsche and Cadillac will put up a strong fight too.
Brilliant video, thank you for taking the time to make it. FORZA FERRARI!!!!!

Great video once again, tire warmers are back for Le Mans so that will be interesting. I will be watching the race trackside hahaha
ahh, have fun man, thats going to be incredible!
It's stupid for the FIA to ban tire warmers just on safety reasons alone tire warmers should come back.
@@rickjohnson2859 They are coming back for Le Mans only, because of safety reasons
@@rickjohnson2859 But I agree they should ban tire warmers, IMSA have done this for years so why can't WEC
This aged well

Thanks for the summary. I don't watch WEC cos the races are long but you Summarised that race brilliantly. Thanks
