Fave donuts are apple fritters and chocolate covered custard filled bismarks. SO good! Oh, and of course a good old raised glazed. As for zucchini as an apple substitute, I tried that in a chunky apple bread I made, and the "apples" tasted like...zucchini. It was disgusting.
I found this to be very doughy, not cooked all the way through, so I cut them in half horizontally and refried the pieces and that was way better. Added some apple pie spice to the icing as I think I didn't add enough apple extract to the dough. It was filling and tasted good.
I would like to know if you can bake this or air fry since I don't really like fried foods but that treat is my favorite.. ..please keep me posted I would appreciate it!

Food network has a recipe for raspberry fritters. They look yummy but obviously not keto. Think apples could be replaced with raspberries in this recipe?

Don’t believe I did anything wrong - followed the recipe- but mine turned out very oily and still raw on the insides ( and yes I even lowered the temperature down so they can cook more) but still had same issue. Did anyone else have the same issue?
You can try to make them thinner and yes, cook them lower and longer. Let sit on a paper towel to absorb extra oil. Also, let them sit for a while. I think they are best after the next days
Your oil might have been too hot. Start with frying them at medium heat, then decrease to low medium if needed. It's best to fry them at a lower temperature for longer to keep the almond flour and protein powder from burning, while helping the inside cook.

Leslie Morris I am a year and two weeks into my ketogenic‘s journey and decided not to do any sweets or snacks until I hit my 100 pound mark which is about a pound and 4 ounces away🎈 I was told by several people that are morbidly obese like me that eating any kind of treat whether it be keto friendly or not could be a trigger for people that were my size🎈
Leslie Morris but definitely am planning on putting them in my journey like maybe once every week or two having a very small couple of bite-size treats that are handmade not premade or prepackaged🎈 I want to keep my ingredients to a minimum🎈 especially preservatives🎈

I would recommend not triggering your “sweet tooth” with foods like these until you have reached your goal weight and are on maintenance. This gives you time to have a full understanding of managing your macros and maintaining ketosis. Managing your goal weight for awhile and then adding rare to occasional keto treats, always incorporated into your macros, will ensure you are on the right track. Also, I highly recommend testing your blood sugar and ketosis levels to make sure you are not sensitive to the keto friendly sugar replacements and spiking your blood sugar and dropping out of ketosis. Some people cannot tolerate the sugar replacements. I do keto OMAD and love it. I can maintain and still lose by doing all of the above.
I think if you use a protein powder with sugar in it? Every body is different, so if it spikes your sugars, I'd pass on this recipe. There are other recipes out there without that.
