In the concordance of my Bible I noticed several parts of the text. Matthew 25:32-34, “and before Him shall be gathered all nations and he shall separate them one from another as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats with sheep on the right and goats on the left. The King shall say unto them on the right, come ye blessed of my Father and inherit the kingdom prepared for you.” Here He is making a clear difference between the two. Ezekiel 34:5 and further at verses 11-17, “the flock was scattered because there is no shepherd (lost folk); and they became food for all the wild animals.” and “For the Lord God; behold I, even I, will both search my sheep and seek them out, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. I will bring them to their own land and feed them upon the mountains and rivers in good pasture. I will seek that which was lost and bring again that which was driven away and bind up that which was broken and that which was sick (gathering His children who repented and come back to Him). See further verse 17. Another chapter in Zechariah 10:3 says, “Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds (false teachers or leaders) and I punished the goats….”. One more reference, Romans 8:34 talks about Jesus sitting at the right hand of the Father, and who intercedes for us.
