    Feels like all of those who’ve suffered so much loss has just been forgotten about. So many still in need of assistance and answers. To be reunited with their loved ones, to have them found, brought home and laid to rest. Heartbroken for these people.

    Amazing. I've been going to those falls since the '70s. What is amazing is the big stone behind the shelf you walked out on, used to be on the other side of the shelf, flipped over, with about 4 to 10 inches of the top side exposed out of the water. See how flat and smooth the bottom(now) looks. It was very flat, smooth, and wide enough for 4-5 people to sun bath on it. The amount of power it took to flip it over that shelf, tells you just how much water must have been flowing. WOW!

      I can't even imagine what it must have looked like with that volume of water and debris just crushing over the falls and right over that shelf too.

    Thank you for your dedication you put into helping others, whilst most of us are preparing for Xmas, there are people grieving lost ones. My wish for those people is to find closure and May god lead the way 🙏

      You know, you probably don't even know that you have done this; but, do you know what you do when you put that X in Christmas? I used to shorten the word too; that is until years ago and older gentleman came to me at the store that I was working in and he asked me that question. I didn't understand what he was saying until it came on like a light bulb. Yes. Merry Christmas to you! :)

    God bless you Ryan and Jen. My heart hurts for these people/families. I would love to be there helping, but unfortunately I'm going through some major health issues and never do these things without my doctors all yelling at me. You guys are just amazing...can't thank you enough for the work all are doing.❤❤❤

    Kim's body will never be found. Vern is asking for the impossible. There r thousands missing and dead all throughout the mountains. I'm very sorry for his loss. But Vern's surviving family needs him now.

  • @POWER-LINKS
    @POWER-LINKS 4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +6

    It's not gonna be a "complete" body. It would be body parts or "remains." An expert on the subject also stated that by now, anything visible to the naked eye would have already decomposed to much to recognize and more than likely have been consumed, especially stuff in the water. Human bodies that are swept away in violent floodwaters filled with heavy debris don't fare very well in the long term. Finding "bodies" is something that happens in the first few days. Some of those missing would only remain "intact" if they were buried fairly deep and will only be discovered after another flash flood event.

      @@POWER-LINKS I live in the Helene distaster area. You are wrong. Everyday whole dead bodies of our friends and family members are being found. Flood happened September 26 and 27. This is now just before Christmas. Yes alot of bodies are still buried. The reason all of still look. Insurance will not pay out any money untill D N A proof. No F E M A money. Still have to pay out morgues on houses and businesses that are piles of trash. We know the death count is not complete. Every day we hear about more death. We have a millions of tourist in this area . Everyone is exhausted. We are just surviveing the best way we know how. Prayers still save lives here.

    Ryan, have you and Vern considered underground sonar equipment for your recovery's? I bet it's expensive but could be very useful.

      @@donaldcurtis9229 They list them as "verified" by official EMS services if you read the article. I'm getting the feeling officials are getting pretty annoyed with all of the blown up claims of much higher numbers. I'll be honest, right now I don't know what to believe. I'm hearing all kinds of stories from locals.

      I saw them directly talking to law enforcement, Including Yancy and Carter County. We only work with search teams who cooperate and work directly with authorities. Big bonus, they aren't asking for donations to a GoFundMe account.
