I don’t recommend renting a car to travel around the Amalfi Coast. Driving along the coast is stressful and very expensive. Parking is mainly for residents, very difficult to have a car here unless your hotel includes a parking space. For transportation from Naples, there are a few options:
You can book a private transfer from the airport which costs around 35 euros per person. This is the best option if you have a lot of luggage but its expensive, however it is still cheaper than a car rental.
There are no direct trains but the best way to get to the coast in my opinion is to take a local train from the Naples train station to Sorrento or to Solarno if you want to start on the opposite side of the coast. Then you can take a ferry or a Sita bus to your specific destination which costs between 5-9 euros per person.
While exploring the different villages, use the local bus system to get between towns which costs only around 1 euro! Renting a scooter costs around 60 euros per day
The Amalfi Coast is one of the most expensive summer destinations in Europe.
Main dishes will usually run 15-25€ at a minimum. A glass of wine will be 6-9€. The high season for visiting the Amalfi Coast in Italy is from June to August, I recommend visiting in September.

This place looks surreal. Italy has so many famous tourist destinations like Florence and Venice that people forget there are so many beautiful small towns and places that are wonderful too, just not as well known.
Amalfi coast is definitely not under the radar...
Positano, Naples, Pompeii and sorrento are all some of the most popular locations in Italy or even Europe

When I go to Europe, I usually try to avoid renting a car unless it is unavoidable, so I'm glad there are options of using public transportation there. The hike looked incredible! Being from Italy, I can guarantee you that the public transport being late or not passing at all, it's definitely typical, especially in the South 😂

I went to that same Limoncello shop in Sorrento back in 2018 by pure happenstance! I went to Rome with my best friend our senior year in college, and skipped out on Pompeii/Mt. Vesuvius because it was the last day of our trip and we were pretty tired by then, so we went straight to our final visit, and we both know whenever we go on our honeymoon (not "our" honeymoon, more like whenever we find our spouse) Sorrento must be included, it's quite a hidden gem as far as it goes with the Amalfi Coast lol.

Loved the vid! Quick note, the prices you mentioned are not high in comparison to most of W europe. This is pretty standard for a meal and a glass of wine. BUT if you live in the Noridcs, the prices you mentioned are what we would call "dirt cheap." because a standard glass of house wine is at least 12 euros and dinner is almost always more than 20 euros at any restaurant. :(

Did you try the water taxi/water buses? We were going to go in 2020 but got cancelled for Covid and that was the plan to use those. Rather than the Land buses.

Yes parking and renting a car is expensive but when u book a 5 star hotel, not sure why that particular cost would be an issue. There are a ton of hotels that are a fraction of the cost esp when ur spending less time in ur room.

Hi! So I know you have been everywhere but I just wanted to ask...have you been to Bermuda before! I was born there and I love the island and I feel like people only really know it from the Bermuda Triangle. Since you have been to every country, I was just wondering if you have ever visited the island!😊🏝
im a spaniard and yes bermuda is one of my favourite island in the carribean area but the difference is between italy and bermuda is italy is a live museum and it has 55 unesco sights , italy and japan are my favourite countries in the world. bermuda is a place you relax on the beaches and while italy has arts, museum, beaches , the dolomites unbelievable trip. im going to bermuda actually in januarty and i hope going back to italy next spring which i go every 2 years and japan this coming summer , im fortunate to do this because of my job , but i always pick italy and japan whenever it comes up .

Buses are dreadful, there is no real infracture for bus, but are cheap when they turn up.
Tranfers are very expensive, which l call taxis this is where they make there money.
Food l think is not badly priced, limecllo is not badly priced.
Hotel start from 100 to 1000 pounds a night
I will go back to the Almafi and take the boat ride next time.
