Badagry, Exploring Stories Of Many Beginnings In One Place | Community Report

Badagry plays host to many of Nigeria's heritage sites, but some of the stories of these relics/artifacts or communities around them are rarely told.
In this episode of the programme, we are capturing some of the intangible heritage sites and also examine the state of the assets in Badagry, the way of the Idale people, Topo island where missionaries lived in 1870, the artifacts preserved by the Mobee family, and many others.
The programme also explores water travel from the heart of Lagos and within Badagry and its environs.
We raised questions around the tourism potential of the area, the preservation of the sites, and the depleted infrastructure that may continue to hamper the growth of the community.
