If you really want a premium cutting board, you would make/buy an end grain board of maple, cherry, or walnut. The face grain boards here will scratch much more than an end grain.
Cutting boards that last a lifetime should be from serious hardwoods. I exclusively use Karri. Great to work with, and it's a lot harder than any US wood, as most US woods are relatively soft on the Janka scale.
The harder the wood is on the Janka scale, the harder it is on your knive's edges. So you also have to take that into consideration. It's a balancing act between durability and edge retention.
Why do I hear another voice underneath the main voice? 3:20 for example, you hear another voice in the background after the computer generated voice finishes. Edit: Ok I know what's going on, it's the audio of the video that is being used, why not mute the audio channel? Seriously, put some effort and pride in your videos.
