      @@becomeyourownboss2193 I do actually. I got money to buy a ladder and I'm looking for something cheap but tall enough to reach most 2-3 story buildings. I live in an area with only 2 story buildings and a ladder is essential. I also don't have a car so ill mostly walk with it or my dad can put it inside of his car so I also need something not too bulky. Any suggestion? Thank you

    After just finding out about this business a few days ago definitely makes me wanna get started asap. I tried my own recycling bin with just a pressure gun and water hose with some cleaning chemicals and saw how easy it is! And $30 a can is well worth it knowing you can knock 3 out in less than an hour. Can't wait to get started!

    I started this business as a 13 year old and I'm currently 14. I made $100 in one afternoon, but I haven't been able to get a single job since those ones. I also can't drive yet, so I have to resort to riding my bike to where ever the job is. I usually deliver fliers with information about my service in mailboxes to try and get jobs. Are there any suggestions on how I can get more jobs? Any marketing tactics that have worked for any of you in the past?

    • @becomeyourownboss2193
      @becomeyourownboss2193  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Thank you for asking! My suggestion are not in order, I just wrote down some suggestions.
      I would recommend exhausting your neighborhood within a half mile or mile radius. Hopefully an adult can help you drop off your flyers to make sure that you are safe! Safety first!
      List your business on Nextdoor app, this app is amazing because you can list your service in your local area and not the whole city.
      Write hand flyers and not printed flyers, people might think it’s junk mail and throw it away.
      Take your hand written letter and picture of you cleaning a trash can and tape it to the trash cans for each house on trash day. This way when people bring in their trash cans, they will notice your hand written flyer and picture of your services.
      Take a picture of you cleaning the trash bins for that people can see that your a young entrepreneur and will possibly be more willing to support your business.
      Consider offering your services in exchange for a donation rather than a set price.
      Depending on your area and income demographic, people may not be able to afford your services.
      List your business on other local classifieds like (5miles) Busy and Sell Locally and OfferUp.
      Walk down your street with an adult family member and ask your neighbors if there is something that you can clean up around their front yard, wash their car or walk their dog for a donation but only on your street and under a family member supervision to ensure your safety!
      My point is that maybe they do need help with something around the house but it isn’t with their trash cans.
      Opportunity is everywhere around us and it’s up to us to find a need and provide a solution to peoples problems!
      Follow up with the people that you once cleaned their trash cans and see if they would like to reschedule for a maintenance cleaning.
      Offer a service that you can charge people to bring out their trash cans and bring them back in on trash day for a donation or a small fee.
      Rake up peoples leaves or anything that you can think of to put some money in your pocket!
      On trash day, have a bright yellow sign that tells everyone that you clean trash bins for a fee or donation! Make sure that you post it in your front yard every trash day for a month and see what response you get!
      Unfortunately at your age, you are limited to traveling a further distance from your house. Don’t let this stop you from trying to offer your services!
      Go to small businesses in your local area and ask them if there is a weekly or monthly service that they can have you do an exchange for some money or a donation. Make sure that it’s a small business and not a corporate company because a small business can pay you without a corporate approval.
      I hope that this helps, please let me know if you have any questions, I’m here to help!

      You have to try and figure out when the trash comes around to catch it while it’s empty

    • @becomeyourownboss2193
      @becomeyourownboss2193  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Buy the cheapest one that you can find at Home Depot or a garage sale. You don’t need a lot of pressure to clean a bin. It’s a trash bin and will get dirty again soon.
      Have a trash bag from the grocery store and place their trash in these bags or you can buy some large trash bags and use them to place the loose trash in.
      Try to have a mindset of getting it done! Do wait until trash pickup day to make money, go out and make it happen!
      Dominate your neighbors in your local neighborhood! You don’t need to travel far to make money.
      Don’t try to be perfect, make it happen!

    Check with local water laws. I have to collect the water after washing the bins, it’s considered grey water and not suitable for storm drain water.

      Lol

    • @Deleted_Channel1
      @Deleted_Channel1 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      While it’s illegal to have that water flow down, honestly depending on where the storm drains are, the water usually will not reach it unless the drain is right there. Unfortunately, I’ve seen carpet cleaners dump their water down the drains. Some municipalities lies when they say it goes to the ocean. By law, that water must be treated regardless if it’s going to the ocean or not. That’s why it honestly wouldn’t matter.

    What do you do with the waste water?

    • @becomeyourownboss2193
      @becomeyourownboss2193  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Nothing. I literally rinse it out to the street. Code enforcement isn’t going to stop you or speak to you unless you have a professional presence like a truck with a vehicle wrap. Most mobile detailers, don’t even reclaim their water like they should.

    Question I live in California, do you require to have a permit?

    • @becomeyourownboss2193
      @becomeyourownboss2193  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Code enforcement requires that anyone operating a business, have a city license to work within the city limits.
      Also, you are supposed to reclaim your wastewater. Honestly, as long as you do have a truck with a company logo on it, then no one is going to bother you. Especially if you are a teenager.
      If this is what you do on a professional level and have invested $100,000 into this then yes.
