For me it happened at the gym December 4 2019 got out March 13 of 2020 I remember nothing I was induced coma removed a piece of my skull and had a shunt placed in my brain it’s been more than 4 years the fact that it happened at the age of 19 I believe has helped me with my recovery along with with muscle memory as I was a person who tried to eat clean and stay fit. I agree life is different, but there is life after a Stroke honestly keep on moving and repitition and a lot of hard work is what will help with recovery

Thank you for sharing your story, I had a stroke on the 6th of December 2020 missed out on Xmas with my kids😢. I came out of hospital august 12 2021 now doing rehab at home still recovering and getting stronger on my legs. My left arm got a lot of work to do. With this pandemic I was denied the opportunity to do rehab at my community centre but I'm fighting to get my life back for my kids. I got told by the doctor from the rehab next 3 to 6 months if I don't progress I will probably be like this for the rest of my life 🤦but I'm going to prove him wrong. I'm going to work hard and pray to God he will get me and my family through this.hope you're better from your stroke be strong and God bless you🙏🙏🙏

Great recovery. My mother suffered multiple strokes, the first one she was 47. I was 15 at the time. My father had one 2 years later and recovered. My mother unfortunately, suffered the worst of it. After becoming permanently disabled and the onset of dementia in her early 50s, my father left us. I left college to be her care taker alongside my sister. We didn't have money for help and there wasn't much that could be done. She entered a nursing home by the age of 58. My mother was an RN for 25 prior to her stroke. Wish I could take her place and bring her home everyday. Every second counts.

Another great video by AHA, thankful that this young woman got her life back. I just wish AHA would use their platform to teach people the valuable message that no one needs to suffer heart attack or stroke in the first place. Isn’t that more valuable than teaching what signs and symptoms are? My husband suffered a heart attack at 47 and he was the picture of health on the outside. What he was eating was killing him-meat, cheese and dairy-all proven scientifically to cause heart disease, stroke and cancer. If you want to change and bypass going this route, listen to Dr. Michael Greger on You Tube.

During the middle 2020 my mom was complaining about a very painful migraine so she asked my grandma to come pick me up from her so I wouldn't worry after I left she was lying on the floor unable to get up and was vomiting every where so she called her boyfriend at the time and then he called hatzolah(ambulance) where she was rushed to the hospital they did a MRI on her and she had brain bleeds which caused her to go into a coma and while they were in the middle of operation she shot a clot to her brain causing a stroke(right and middle). All she wanted to do was survive for me even if she was in a coma. About 3 weeks later she woke up from the coma and the doctor told her she couldnt walk. she didn't believe and as soon as she tried to get up she vommited. About 2 or so weeks later she came home where a lot of nurses came and Occupational therapists etc. About last year September she started biokenetics and as of now she can look left and right she can't look up and down she can drive she can't swim she can't move fast she can walk on her own it takes her like maybe 3 minutes to get out of bed since she has to get her balance back but that's what happened. Let me say most people take their parents for granted until they lose/almost lose them.

Had my hemorrhagic stroke last january 2022, at first i just thought that it was just a headache. Thankfully my girlfriend knew that it is more than just a headache cause. I'm having a facial assymetry. It took us 3 hours before i was admitted because hospitals are full because of covid it took me longer for me to dprocess what is happening and it didn't occur to me that i had a stroke causei'm as fit as a horse, i play basketball and soccer i even compete in an international marathon until the neurologist introduced herself and explain the severity of the situation. I justthink to myself that God wouldn't give me this if i can't handle this so that was the mindset all along i entrust myself to God. Thst this was just a hurdle given to me to make me stronger. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right?

After three days I could walk but it was Shakey. Now I've got tendonitis in my elbow after working so hard for so long. I overcompensate about the balance and power in one arm so that caused problems. But gotta make money.

    A stroke or cervical instability?
I do have cervical and lumbar stenosis.
In 2020 I began having episodes one every other week and everyone of them occurred during the night when asleep. I wake up having all of the symptoms. No physicians here could diagnose me because they said there is no damaged area seen on my brain So I’m left just staying home to sleep them off. I had these every other week for10 months of these exact symptoms . It stopped a month after having a lumbar fusion in October, than started again today 9/4/21. My symptoms do not dissipate fully until the next day.
Scared with no help! Not One Doctor told me to go to ED if I had these symptoms reoccur? Some doctors say all those symptoms are likely from cervical instability. I wish someone would believe me I know I’ve been having mini strokes or maybe tia and they look at me like I am crazy

That is actually shocking. They should straight way do CT scan to find out is bleed or infrack. Honestly shocking. Powerful USA and they cannot do CT scan in emergency situation. If they will do that they will safe her from disability and long months in rehab.

Jessica is more at risk now because of her obvious weight gain. She was a lot thinner when she had her first stroke. Stroke reoccurs so I hope she seriously considers going through weight loss program. Might as well encourage her husband to do it as well. Obesity plays a risky role in the occurence of stroke.
