I just had a recent stroke at the age of 34, recovered almost fully (speech is a little slurred sometimes) and it helps to hear positive stories like this...
@@Suaveone1 No sir I did not. Neurologists decided to NOT go in (catheter-directed thrombolysis) or use the "gold standard" drug of "tPA" for fear of causing a bigger stroke due to the fact that I have a mechanical aortic valve and am on blood thinners (catheter procedure and tPA can cause massive bleeding which is a no-no with warfarin patients) for the rest of my life. My 2 week recovery at the hospital consisted with a regimen of raising my "INR levels" with a daily high dosage of heparin and warfarin. At my 6 month and 1 year follow up, the neurologist confirmed that my stroke was still there with the CT scans of my head. She said that a little region of my brain is "dead" and that my body will adjust to it by building a barrier around it but other than that, I'm ok right now and back to work which makes me happy to know that I once have a productive life again. Still a little slurred speech and cloudy thoughts here and there but other than that, everything else is fine! I had a massive stroke when I was just 19, so I totally get you girls it is hard. I was in college and working also then couldn’t do anything else... now I’m 36 and have suffered a second stroke in 2016 but I keep going, why? Because God wants me to! And I need to. I still can’t use my left hand, but I push myself to continue doing what needs to be done anyway! You girls can too!
This video is so great to see as a teenage girl who had a stroke at the age of 18 in 2018. Thank you to these girls who shared their stories, I wish them all the best!
My stroke story I survived 5 simultaneous strokes. You can’t see any physical damage just by looking at me. I don’t have a droopy face, slurred speech or hand paralysis. However, I have short term memory loss, R hand numbness, blind from half of my eyes up and short tempered (from what people tell me, I wasn’t like that but I don’t know lol) Accident occurred after I ran about 3 miles or more and went to take a shower before I went out with friends. Lucky, I’m an EMT and worked at Hospital one block away. Yes, I lived that close. Calling an ambulance would have seemed a bit foolish. When I began to have my symptoms I began to walk toward the hospital. Blessed to say my coworkers/friends found me and took me to the ER. Here I am still alive. Couldn’t be more great full.
I had 2 and went to school to be an EMT thank God I did because I had a stroke 2 weeks ago two of them can't see my face is clear only thing the doctors find is that my blood vessels in my head we're small they don't know what it is from

I had a stroke at the age of fifteen. I just watched this video. I wanted to thank all of you for sharing your stories. Well done for all that you have achieved.
I don't know if I had a stroke or not... I was about 11 or 12 and I got a huge migraine, there was this rapid swirling in my left eye. I tried to watch a movie to distract me from the pain, but the movement of the TV made my head hurt even more. My leg went numb and so did that entire side of my body. touching my own had felt like I was touching someone else. My stomach churned as I sat there trying to focus on the movie. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore I had my mom help me upstairs. She brought me a mattress to lay on as she read me a story to try and calm me down. I asked for a bucket and she went and got one. After a couple of minutes, I was throwing up everything that was in me and even more. She had pet my head until I fell asleep. The next morning I still had a raging headache but I could see and I had gotten my feeling back. After this, I had gotten more major migraines and Some even worse. I'm only 14 right now and I'm not sure what was wrong and what really did happen to me. No, I never went to a hospital but, my sister thinks that I should talk to a doctor to see what is wrong and to see if it was a stroke...

My son who is 30 years old just had a stroke and is still in rehab. It is hard to see him in this state, but I have to lean into my faith in God and that is my response to him. I told him that when he leaves rehab he will come to our house until he is ready to go to his apartment. I told him we are with him the whole way.
Stay healthy then. Eat healthy and exercise as much as you can. I've said it to many people: "Health is wealth..." There's no amount of money in the world that I would trade for to give up the use of an appendage. Then again, there's only so much you can do because genetics do play a big role in the health of individuals..

So I did my research and I found this company called "Saebo" .

I am 29 now and I still remember that as a horrible day of my life and I am trying to figure it out whys without success so far.
Now I am more focusing if a childhood stroke increases our chances for having another one and how would we be able to prevent it !?
Cheers.
To other stroke survivors, continue with your physical/speech/rehab therapy and don't give up hope! ❤❤

Can you please give me ur contact means
Heartbreaking, but these girls are so amazing. I hope all the girls make a full recovery in time. 💞
This video is so great to see as a teenage girl who had a stroke at the age of 18 in 2018. Thank you to these girls who shared their stories, I wish them all the best!
My stroke story
I survived 5 simultaneous strokes.
I had 2 and went to school to be an EMT thank God I did because I had a stroke 2 weeks ago two of them can't see my face is clear only thing the doctors find is that my blood vessels in my head we're small they don't know what it is from
God is healing me
S SS beat wishes man and tho is hard [from experience] it’s up to us to make the best of this. Don’t let depression get you. Because it will at times. 👍🏼👍🏼

I had a stroke at the age of fifteen. I just watched this video. I wanted to thank all of you for sharing your stories. Well done for all that you have achieved.
Thank you for sharing your story Scott.
You should

My son who is 30 years old just had a stroke and is still in rehab. It is hard to see him in this state, but I have to lean into my faith in God and that is my response to him. I told him that when he leaves rehab he will come to our house until he is ready to go to his apartment. I told him we are with him the whole way.
So sad. Hope he's doing better now
I hope I never have a stroke.
Stay healthy then. Eat healthy and exercise as much as you can. I've said it to many people:
"Health is wealth..."
There's no amount of money in the world that I would trade for to give up the use of an appendage. Then again, there's only so much you can do because genetics do play a big role in the health of individuals..

I was 6 years old when I suffered a stroke. I was running in P.E. class. I was dizzy and I passed out. I remember my coach called the nurse and I was taken to the hospital. I woke up laying in the hospital bed. Fast forward a decade later, still experiencing weakness on my right side. But I knew I had to do something about it. So I did my research and I found this company called "Saebo" .

I was at the grocery store 6 years ago and suddenly I felt like I had some reason to use the ride on cart. I did my normal shopping and the entire time I felt like I had Vertigo and increasing pain in the back of my head and I got to the cell checkout so I could avoid people seeing me and what was possibly happening... My hands started to tremor and that's all I really knew afterward and next thing I knew I woke up in the hospital. Here I am, 37 years old and singing powerfully and not so great but recently broke my right collar bone because of clumsiness but still able to drive and fully functional. God bless these girls and I will always wear my cross and remember them and think of others that this could happen to despite being healthy and thinking you are completely healthy.
