Tier 6 1/4 Demon Quilboar Felboar After you cast 3 spells consume a minion in the Tavern to gain its stats. Interesting card with some potential. Remember blood gems count as spells for purposes of its trigger. Make sure you buy what you want from the tavern before buffing!
New Spell Tier 4 1 gold Gem Confiscation Play 2 Blood Gems on a friendly minion. It steals all Blood Gems from its neighbors. This is the exact same mechanic as the minion Necrolyte.

It’s frustrating how inflexible Quillboar are. You kinda have to go all in on them early or not touch them. They should change bristlebach to “avenge (2): your blood gems give an addition +1/+1”. The tuning would need to be changed around but a single minion to consistently scale blood gems would go a long way.

After watching some vids, including yours, I finally went in and felt a little better about what I was doing. My biggest hang up is the timer. A new player feels seriously rushed to read all of the cards, think about their interactions etc. Well, lat night I went in, and saw a lot of dragons. Ok, great. I buffed them to 75-100 attack and health. Well, I ended up in second place to a quillboar board that was 300+ health and attack. And here I thought we were matched against equally seasoned players. Clearly, he knew what he was doing.
Yeah it takes a while to learn all the cards. One thing that really helped me was hearthstone deck tracker. It's an overlay for hearthstone that shows you which cards are available in your game, separated by tribe and tier.
Whenever you have free time, for example during combat, or when you've finished your turn early, you can read through the cards and look for things that would synergize with your current minions, this way you have less thinking to do during the shop phase.
Another tip: Try to get good at 2-3 specific tribes first and just force them every game. This is not a good strategy for actually winning, but it will teach you what you need to make these tribes work, and you will be more comfortable to pivot to them when you see opportunities
If you care about your rating a lot consider switching your client to another region like Europe, or Asia as each region has a seperate rating. That way while forcing something to learn you do not lose a bunch!

The problem with quillboars is, that you need to hit both gem generation and gem scaling at the same time, which is very rare, so it's often just a bait, even after the buff. You can easily fall behind while waitimg for your rylak, or you have the scaling with piper and a rylak setup (which is extremely weak tempo wise) but you don't get enough gems, and that's why you die...
I see you’ve came around to the Briarback Bookie. In your last Quilboar guide I had mentioned him and you had said you didn’t think he was good enough, nice to know that you’ve learnt to appreciate the Bookie
Sometimes you just are not given a option enough to play it to appreciate their value. I am willing to play anything if it makes me better at the game!

Geomagus was definitely overbuffed. Divine shield strong.
I one time had a game with the monkey that gives you bananas and it was always random with quilboars. Which one would trigger first. I was hoping for banana blood gems gold but it flipped around
Re: Spells.... If you are bouncing gems off your Geomagnus, you're gonna want to ensure your Prickly Piper Or Withered Spearhide have taunt, because sooner or later they're gonna be real hard to kill.

Man imagine if you had just two geomagus and put one bloodgem on one and they would buff each other forever

Finally played them today with the new updates, don’t seem to be worst anymore! To be fair though, for most of the last year or so they’ve been pretty underwhelming in terms of average competitiveness (then again I’m not the best player, I usually end the season at 7,000 or just under it)

To be honest this was the LAST tribe guide. All 10 are done unless I am missing something I did not notice. I am always working on something though. I have one right now in the works, and always looking at other games for ideas for videos. Biggest issue is Battlegrounds does not lend itself to easy guides like a MMO, or a competative shooter. I am always digging through TFT, and MTG videos for ideas that might work.
You could analyse plays and builds of high mmr players, the more unorthodox builds would be interseting. You are done with the tribes, but you are definetely not done with builds ;)
I think you are under estimating the value of cheap one mana tavern spells. I would rather buy a one mana tavern spell to be eaten by Mangle Bandit, than have Mangled Bandit eat one of my buffed up blood gems.
I actually agree with you now. Currently it really does favor spell quills in the current form. When the video was made it was begining to lean that way, and now currently it is 100% that way. BUT I expect a nerf bat of epic proportions to redo Quilboar soon, so I am waiting on redoing it!

They are a great interaction! I only list a couple of heroes as well there are 100+, and some of the hero sections would be INSANELY long!
Why don't you upload gameplay to TH-cam?
I used to, but the views did HORRIBLE. The problem with TH-cam is that if a certain type of video does poorly it make sit so all of your videos are offered less. Which means your whole channel does worse! Also I have major ADHD so I often make critical mistakes every time someone in chat talks with me... which is a lot lol, so my games are often filled with flaws.
I am more a entertaining dancing monkey on Twitch, and thus the games are slightly less useful compared to other high end streamers who ONLY make games where they play flawlessly, and I try more to be engaging as possible.
@@Heretic721 I see. Well that stinks. I rarely meander over to twitch so maybe someday you'll head on over to TH-cam streaming now that twitch lets you dual stream.
@@mirage1857 gameplay videos are just boring and lazy content. No offense, Mr Whitehair isnt that uber pro in Battlegrounds, so that is not that appealing.
But while everyone does uncommented!!!! gameplay videos, Heretic got sent to a new BG player I got into BG. I am moslty not 100% statisfied with the level of detail, but when playing below 6500-700 this content is gold.

Made more sense then a full rerecord, but I can still hear it!!! Sometimes I just force myself to stop as I will redo take after take on things, and I felt like this was a good line to draw in the sand.
