    I have a great respect for Linda,not only for her care for the animals and the environment but also for her love and support for Paul in the most difficult times of his life,when the Beatles split,Paul was so depressed,he wouldnt bathe or shave,would drink all day,was isolated in a remote farm in Scotland,full of debts and lawsuits,any materialistic woman would have left him,but Linda was there for him,she seemed a genuine,unpretentious,down to earth woman which is even more amazing considering her upbringing as an upper class woman from New York.

      +Fernando Miranda Are you kidding? Linda and her jew daddy were at the heart of the group's breakup. Money was more important to her than Paul and the band.

      Noelle,your acusation against Linda is ridiculous and disrespectful.Linda had nothing to do with the Beatles break up,she is not to blame for any of these things,she really loved Paul,she came from a wealthy family,she wasnt interested in Paul's money,actually Paul was full of debts at that time,she was with him in a remote farm in Scotland,far from the spotlights and any luxury.She nursed,breastfed and took care of all her children,loved her family,nature,animals,she wasnt a materialistic gold digger,you are rude and disrespectful to her memory

      +Noelle Jordan wow you have written on almost every video and made sure to comment on how she was Jewish. You clearly have a strong disdain for Linda. Does it make you feel good to say horrible things about a woman who has passed away after a terrible battle of breast cancer? Not saying you have to like this person but maybe have some respect. People like to have this large ego when they're spewing hatred behind a computer screen but that's not life. Please look into the mirror after you write hateful things and ask yourself if you feel better. Just a thought...

      Bearded Sailor even harder because she knew she didn't take our beloved Paul whose roots were Ireland. Whereas Faul, she knew straight away and enjoyed his love of Scotland- John isn't with us anymore- you know about history- it's deeper than any of us, will ever know - hmm...maybe one day Heather will have the courage

    Linda was one hell of a lady but the shit she got from the press was unreal, yet she never let it beat her. I have seen this footage before on youtube and it was taken down - maybe by the MacCartneys, I don't know. I hope that this stays online as she really was something special - even if people only see that in hindsight, better late than never. Linda, you were cool and what's more an artist. Respect

    My favourite beatle wife :) thank you for posting this wonderful video of a thoughtful, kind and gentle woman. she made paul happier than he'd ever been and for that reason we should all respect her. but much more than that, as an individual she did some great things and there was a reasons she was loved by so many. she just seemed to bring happiness to the people around her and she brought paul a life time of happy memories. she is missed, but never forgotten.

    what a lovely interview. a great gal. it's interesting her comments about john and paul and what might have been had he lived. i have always felt that way, that they would have come around eventually. we've missed out on such great music; even if they had done nothing but animation soundtracks in a post-beatles world, it would have been heaven and sublime.

    The casual farm lifestyle with Linda was okay for awhile, but I do think Paul missed the glamour of being a man about town with a pretty lady on his arm. He seems really happy out and about again with wife #3, Nancy Shevelle, dressed to the nines, and is touring more than ever now (right before Covid-19 pandemic, anyway). Unfortunately, Linda was never keen on touring with Wings, and we missed some of Paul's best years in the '70s because of that. (He only had one major tour from '75-76, then)

    Linda's accent changes. Just the same as my dialect changes depending upon who I'm with in the UK. I can slip into a northern accent as opposed to my east midlands dialect just by being with northern family.
    I don't know why there's such an issue with her accent. I've never been to the US but surely accents must vary across states as they do across uk counties and regions.

    Linda was not a traditional beauty, more on the plain side. I really believe it was her inner beauty that attracted Paul ,which means he really got to know her and no one was as beautiful as Linda was to him. Her children felt the same way.And good for her, not giving a shit what anyone thought about her. She had a real sense of self. Bravo Linda!

    That's natural...I, just like Linda McCartney am an American who lived in England, but I lived there as a kid so my accent changed even more than hers did!
    It took about five years after returning from England before I had an "American" sounding accent again...and even still I have some slight traces left of an English accent.

  • @iluvjpm
    @iluvjpm 15 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I lived there for 5 months and I was already developing a British accent. Look at John...from living in NY he was losing his Brit accent and developing more of a NY/American pattern to his speech. Even Paul noticed it.

    I always wondered about her accent. Is that a variant of the New York style, or is that a result from staying in England for quite awhile - or both?

    • @jessicabolduc8793
      @jessicabolduc8793 9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      She had a very different accent because of how many different places they lived. She lived in New York and then traveled a lot and then loved in Scotland and then England and finally Arizona before her death. I definitely think she picked up a distinct accent but I think it's unique, very cool 😊

    She had a really hard time right after she married him too, and if not for her he very well might have sunk down to a level that he would not have succeeded as well as he did. Like she stated, so she married the "cute" Beatle, she still had a real tough go of it the first couple of years. He himself stated that he was not very pleasant for her to live with the first couple of years.

    @JuanMacready well nobody can say for sure... but I still dont think comments like that (especially if they're dead) should be said. linda (as you can see in the video) had a big heart for people and animals alike. no one can ask for more beauty in a person than that. now im NOT saying that you cant hav your opinion or be passionate about it or be upset... all im saying is that you should be a little bit more respectful... because good people deserve that much...

    I'm guessing if you are constantly surrounded by Brit accents for a long time, I would suppose it would be understandable that you'd pick up some of the inflections of the English accent. Is she pouring it on a bit? Maybe. It would be lovely if everyone could have the loving, wonderful marriage that Paul and Linda had! Rest in peace, lovely Linda.

I'm American but have British relatives, and would visit them during summers as a small child, and would develop the South Devon accent by the time that I left the place!
