This Nigga the best hair TH-camr on here , bc nobody ever discusses the tapers and what to do. I always thought you get the front taper first but when you explain like dat it makes a lot of sense
I've been getting the rear taper for a minute now, so growing the hair back is going to be another journey. I should have seen this video before you made it King Bril.
I usually rock a mid or a high taper when I'm wearing braids. I been growing my hair for years but back then I would taper the sides and front and eventually my hair just got long enough to braid. I started getting front tapers with my curly fro , then I rocked it for braids, but then I noticed it getting wider so i ended up growing it out and now I have a small front taper. I don't really think it matters the size of the side and back tapers as long its not too high obviously, because there are people out there who've rocked the curly fro with the high taper like myself before transitioning to braids. I think this video is just for people who are growing their hair from scratch to braids. The high taper still looks clean if you have braids. I think the main thing is too not ruin your front taper because it can get too wide and will end up looking dumb. I have hang time so back taper isn't really an issue.
Dropped this right when I’m about to get my first set of braids, I got loose curls that I’ve grown out to get these braids. Excited to get em will tell my braider to fs leave baby hairs now appreciate it 💯
I recently buzzed my head and I’m going to grow it all out with no line ups or tapers. Only line ups I’m doing is my facial hair. Send blessings because I’m gone be looking ROUGH in some phases.
You know how the taper hairline is from the hair being brushed down and cut what if I don't want the lineup any more do I just cut off the front line or how do I remove the taper hairline
I thank you so much bro for doing a special video about it. Never thought you going do this one. Thank you so much fam for answering my request and MAY GOD BLESS YOUR BUSINESS 🙏🏾
Thank you so much for talking about the back taper. I got my back tapered and that shit was so high I currently have to wait another month just to grow it out.
Only with the front bc that’s when hair needs to be left in the front to get a front taper started, but once you get a front taper every time you go back they can just hold your hair up and refresh it. So apt answer the question you only go to your braided for the front taper at FIRST.
I got a 4 inch hair with type 3 hair and my hair style is like low fade, I got a lot of hair in the back but not most of the back like taper ofc, what I aim to do in the future are twists and finger coils/locs and my normal hair when I get to the school is curls.. and I’ve always been afraid of doing the taper hairline because as you said there is no coming back from this, I barely do cornrows due to my short hair …
Here cause I have dreads and I had a bad habit of going to the barber first. My now ex barber be doing the most to try to put his spin on my nice ass locs and he gave me a front taper that was like a whole inch! I was mad as shit leaving the barbershop and I'll never go back again. Now im trying to let it grow back before my next retwist (while also looking for a new barber) and get like half of that inch incorporated back into the front of my locs.
3:12 Made this mistake a couple months ago, but it’s growing back quick. Next haircut, i’ll make sure to follow your advice. You just saved a brother. 😂😂
I'v been growing my hear out for 1 and half years now and got two strand twist, Should i get a retwist then start with a side taper because i'd say my hair is quite developed as it reaches my eyes
When my hair was long enough for twists, that’s when I parted out my tapered hairline. When I started off with a fro my taper was low but I grew it out to part it off when my hair was long enough so that I would have the perfect amount. Same for the back
so King Bril are you saying i shouldnt get a back taper at all anymore because im trying to get styles now since my hair is long enough but the top of my hair looks more than the back of my hair
I have a question. I don’t have a front taper yet but I wanna get dreads, should I wait until I get dreads to get the front taper? Or should I get it now?
So question, I jus got my hair braided, and my braided told me, I needed to get my hair taped 1st so that the barber can do it then get my hair braided after
Speaking facts. I got 12 thick box braids that are pass my shoulders w/ a small front taper similar to yours but smaller. My front taper is so small it's barely noticeble so all i do is put the guard on, trim down the front & shape up my corners. The tension on the hairline be crazy if your line not starting at the middle of your forehead lol.
I had a back taper kept doing it with the curly fro. Decided to grow my hair out the back caught up fast. Now my shit completely even. Olive oil works wanders
My taper is like the guy at the 3:12 mark and I have braids already. Do I have to cut my hair off and start over? I’ve also been getting my back tapered too. Do I tell the barber not to cut it or do I have to cut all my hair off and start over?
i already have a front taper and i’ve been growing my hair for 2 years, its a couple inches away from touching my shoulders and my front taper is a little less than an inch long is that bad?
For some reason, my braider fucked up and left too much room, even tho she usually never does that. I ain’t noticed till after I got my hair braided. Are there any tips you have to help grow that back?
Question. Would getting a taper when you’re late in the game still be valid? I’ve been growing my hair out through covid and now have a full head of hair. But I don’t have that sharp look whenever I put my hair in a protective. style even when I ask for a lineup after
My barber did me bad I told him a taper and he gave me a low fade and leveled my side hair badly so now I'm stuck with a low fade and i dont want to regrow because it took a long time to get here so I'll just adjust and be happy for what I have.
yo bril idk what to do, i been growing my hair out wit a high top fade for like 2 years now but i want more hair on the sides and back but ion wanna restart you got any advice??
I got starter locs nd mah mom twisted the hairline earlier on, I used mah hand to pick them out to have some hairline left before they fully loc up, am I good?
Been growing my hair out with no taper or fade and I'm five months in. Don't know if I should just stay with no side taper and get a front taper have something like Brent faiyaz with his cornrows or just get a lil side taper? And with no side taper I don't have to get too many haircuts.

it depends how long the rest of your hair is. Id say get two strand twist and just let the front taper grow a bit, itll be rough but its winter time so the durags, scarf and caps that people with dreads wear can keep you straight while its growing
Hey bro, I have been growing out my hair like 8-9 months on the top I had back taper. I just gave up getting a haircut every 2-3 weeks as a result of only having a high top it’s not worth it but I don’t know what to do? 😢 should i leave my sides and back catching up with the high top hair ?
I have 3 boys. Thank you for the tips. Cuz I braid their hair. They have a lot of hair. 11,9, and 8 years old. My 9 year old has an Afro and gets a taper fade. But the 11 and 9 year old have a lot of hair and I braid their hair. **no wonder their barber tells me to braid the hair first before coming for the appointment! #2 is the only reason I grew my hair out of a taper, but after my hair was 2-3” long thats when i stopped getting tapers and I only braid my hair side way to help my hairline instead of braid my hair going back.
I have a tapered hairline with two strands twist I been growing for 2 years with a side low taper fades 💯I started at 15 . I had dreads until I was 13 then cut it off

i had a taper but over time the barbers kept cutting up now its more of a low fade, im abt to start growing out the sides for a taper again then ima cut the top to even it out
Question so I'm growing my hair out I had to cut it because I had bad dandruff and flakes it's a lot better now but now that it's back at the same length it was before it still gets a little itchy what do I think I'm doing wrong or not doing enough
For some reason like three months into the journey I decided to get a taper on the front and now were eight months in and it’s not bad but I just wish I never got it
