When you're trying to arrest someone, and they're trying to hit you, get away from you, bite you, spit on you, not to mention people get initially stronger when their bodies are in that fight or flight mode associated with being arrested, makes it tough to be soft with them. You can't sit there all day and debate a person saying why, or try to gently wrestle for long periods of time. Remember, there are people around, and part of dealing with mouthy citizens in front of a crowd is to control the situation, and remove the offender, as fast and safe as possible.

The problem is the total misunderstanding of rights in the first place by nearly everyone.
Rights are the inherent, inalienable, self-assertive moral principles that it is right for each individual to use their liberty (ability to think and act) and wrong for any individual or group including government to infringe on the liberty of any individual or group (unless in defense from an initiation of force or in the case of government in retaliation for initiations of force but only if the retaliation is done with due process).
Food is not a right. Healthcare is not a right. Universal basic income is not a right. None of those things are inherent, inalienable, self-assertive moral principles.
They are better characterized as wants. Some may claim they are needs but that is only if you immediately cease your investigation when you reach the point that you want to. So you say food is a need? But what is it needed for? To sustain human life. Is the sustaining of human life needed for the universe to continue? No. So when people say food is a need they simply stop at to live as if that is some claim on existence to provide them the sustenance they want. To live is a desire aka a want. The things that conscious beings want they must produce or earn. If you want to live then you need to eat. But your desire to live is just that, your desire and thus your responsibility.
You do have a right to earn food and healthcare and other wants by being productive and trading your productive effort for the things you want from others(their productive effort). But you have no right to someone else’s production without the voluntary exchange of it.
People will say oh that is such a terrible way to be, you don’t care about the less fortunate?
I do care about the less fortunate but as it’s been said many times before, ‘it is not a virtue to steal from person A and then give it to person B’
If you want to help person B do it with your own productive effort and leave person A out of it. You have no right to his productive effort even if you want to give it to the unfortunate.
Charity is a very good thing. Welfare is a horrible monster that creates a huge moral hazard and inevitably leads to more of the problem it tries to solve, more poor people and a worse economy.

The woman at 8:33 actually won a $325,000 dollar lawsuit against the police department for that violent beach arrest. And she really wasn't causing that much of a scene to me until the officer said ok that's it I'm done with you. Just because they didn't raise their voice you can tell they just wanted to get off the beach and man handle her. She got punched repeatedly in the head/ hair held down and is on camera from another beachgoer. She in fact didn't have any alcohol on her system yet still got treated that way in front of her 18month old daughter. Don't tell me you wouldn't be infuriated by that?! @ 12:51 you can see the officer punching her after he said that's it and another saying woah woah woah stop hitting her, what are you doing. Maybe just for fun. Because, you know : Cops... "Hey Ho, I have all rights, I am strong and I love to use my weapon, I can put you on the ground while laughing and make your life miserable if I want, thus don't even try to make me feel as if I were only your equal : I am way superior to you... I can even kill you with one knee only if I want and then get a promotion and you can't do anything about that, because... I am a cop !" - Again, I am so very happy for her, and I am pretty sure all the victims made by cops and reading she won are also smiling !
Now, I wonder if she never agreed for that video with her face being uploaded here ? I mean, this event has obviously been traumatizing and she's seen in it in kind of an humiliated position ; If I were her, I think I would not enjoy someone using my image like that and I would feel bad to watch again this scene, falling randomly upon it because of people sharing on the social networks... Who else than the cops themselves and the court have had access to these images ? How did they ended up here on TH-cam ? Were there any money involved so this channel was able to produce that? Did all people caught on these videos agreed it to be published here, seriously ?

In the beach case, the two officers were fired and the woman got 325,000 in compensation. She was underage and they suspected that she had consumed alcohol. She collaborated and did TWO tests, both showing that she had not been drinking any alcohol. They could not accept that they were wrong, so they escalated the situation and became violent. The correct action would have been to leave, as their initial assumption was proven wrong.
