Everyone at dice is new. No one who worked on core bf4 mechanics are still at the company. I believe it will be a huge effort for them.
its not rocket science for devs to tie aim with the centre ......its laziness and folk like u defending them is the issue not the solution , were simply asking for consistent mouse input and the bullets go where we aim ....... hows that a huge effort lol every other fps can do this even indie devs do this easy enough ........ no excuse

I don't even understand why people want BF4's gunplay back. Microbursting was shallow, required no skill, and was completely unbalanced.

@@danielthirgood1997 Battlefield 1 has deeper burst fire mechanics than BF4. All you do in BF4 is mindlessly spam the fire button. In BF1 you have to actually wait for spread to reset, which changes your burst rates based on engagement distance and limits weapons to specific ranges, which forces good positioning and movement.
Magdumping with weapons that don't have negative spread gain indeed requires no skill since good positioning and timing aren't requirements for effectiveness. And guess what you always do within 20m in BF4? Spray and pray. Certain weapons like the U-100 (starter LMG) can even magdump accurately at ranges of up to 50m or more without the use of a bipod.

The War Thunder placement kinda surprised me. I think its a better game as 2042 but I thought because it goes more into the sim direction it wont be anything you would play. Maybe you havn't but tbh I think it would be funny to see you play it for a couple of matches.

As for gamers, I can only imagine modern gaming got them thinking like EA studio execs. If I game didn't sell 40 trillion copies, it's a failure and the studio must be shut down.
Having fun in a game where even outside of the USA you can find full matches in most game modes in a few seconds, playing with 16ms latency? Screw that, the game hasn't been updated in 2 weeks! It's over.
@@DesenhoBoy Battlefield 2042 was a massive commercial flop that didn't break even on its production budget at launch (we would have heard about its production budget, profits made, and units sold from EA directly if it was a commercial success), and the playerbase has been pretty small since its release. Just because people still play the game that doesn't mean it doesn't have a much smaller concurrent playerbase than previous entries.
Regardless of how you feel about the game, Battlefield 2042 is not in a healthy state and never has been. Allegedly the game had a budget of 2 billion USD. I don't know how true that is since it's just a rumor, but if that's actually the case.... Yikes.

Hey Enders you might wanna take a look at the base game revolver sights the two times and the dot sights are really messed up they like rotate around each other really weird it’s most observable when strafing left and right and rapidly rotating the gun the sight with a little triangle and the 4x seem to be ok though

All this going to do is encouage people to use shotguns and explosives. Shotguns you dont really need to aim even if its affected its not really as much as other guns

enders what do you do to train your aim , i get you play or have played competitive but do you use aimlab or something else to train or is it a natural talent to have good mechanical aim as i find it hard on 2042 for some reason it feels inconsistent compared with other fps , thanks
It's an input lag issue plus clunky movement mechanics, best one can do is adapt to it.

i am looking forward to visual recoil that looks awesome and far better than what we have now, also yes BF2042 is a test bench now, and it should be cause the game will be forgotten the moment new battle filed is launched so why not use it to test out new features or changes, and make a better back to the roots battlefield game

That’s something that should t have got rid off, because it introduces skill and particularly bursting skills, i dont like getting beamed across the map as their isn’t as much skill used when compared to bursting skills

How the hell did we go from a glacier like development process to redoing the recoil on every single weapon? I've been speculating for months that DICE is using BF2042 as CTE for the next Battlefield. A very scary thought.
Not that scary. A majority of the DICE devs who made 2042 have never even worked on any of the previous battlefield games. Might as well use 2042 as a testing ground for improvements for the next game instead of making the same mistakes.
I hope they are testing mechanics now, so we can reject it before the next game😂

Huge 2042 fan here. ( Yeah..i know) If you told me these major tweaks came a month or two after launch i wouldn't even give it a second thought. I think they are doin this as one last push to make the game more engaging for newer players and to milk as much as they can from this new season.

So your the one who complained about m16a3 having red dot sight and heavy barrel on other weapons to get removed why though now I'm trying to tell the devs and other TH-camrs to bring them back thanks alot.
visual recoil is a good way to make a gun feel more realistic. I have no clue why they said it would affect the real recoil/deviation in the first place, but maybe they had a change of heart upon hearing about its reception.
Enders, I'm trying to understand your points. I feel like you previously stated that gunplay was too beamy and you couldn't have cues on what someone's capabilities were based on class and weapons. If not the spread changes, tap fire, and visual recoil. What else would you suggest? Bullets hitting wherever aside.

I couldn’t be more excited for visual recoil. The way guns shoot right now is worse than a roblox fps. 2042 shooting mechanics are so far removed from what made me fall in love with battlefield. I miss the days of bf4 where visual recoils made it feel like you were shooting an actual gun and had to pace shots. 2042 you can use a smg at long range because the gun has less recoil than a cod gun with all attachments out into recoil control.

Every game praised for its gunplay has decent amounts of visual recoil paired with actual recoil. It’s when it’s overdone that people don’t like, except people think any amount of visual recoil is bad because they don’t even realize all the games they love that have great feeling gunplay actually have a lot of visual recoil, they just know how to implement it correctly. BF4, for example, has a lot of visual recoil.

They will try their best to add randomness in the game to make 1v1 gunfights so, that even the worst players can get lucky. Of course they are going it ass backwards, because it will only make the skill cap wider.
