I picked up a fare, no sooner was she settled than she started to tell me about my youngest daughter, and how I was worried about her. She gave me details that later turned out to be true. I had never seen this woman before in my life, now ever again. 42 years later I can say she made my hair stand on end.

One evening having completed my duties in the production kitchen ,a part of the catering department at Henley college coventry . I walked down Henley mill lane towards my home in parry road in the wyken area. It was about 10.30pm.on a late November night . I encountered a young girl hiding behind a tree. She was dressed in what I would discribe as a period evening gown ... She was clearly up set in fact she was screaming that her mother was dead ...she announced her father was hiding in a ditch I sent her to a near by farm while I ran towards the mill house ... As the mill owner was stood by his front door I told him of my encounter ....he took me into his kitchen , he handed me a scrap book , the image of a girl was in that scrap book ....seams that back in the late 1800s the mill owner did in fact kill his wife having killed his only child the daughter I had "found" . Dispite efforts police apparently never found the mill keeper . A few days later after a bad flood which had blocked the lane the council sent workmen to clear out the ditches ..in doing they found the skeleton of a man ....shortly after that I moved

Gawd that took me back a good fair few years. My old English teacher would sometimes read a story from The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer and not a peep from the class would be heard until he had finished. I was enthralled with your story and not a peep was heard until you had finished. Nice One.

Actually one camera! 4K footage, edited down to HD using crop for the closeups, without loss of resolution since the target was a quarter the size of the original.

I sat down with my cup of tea and custard creams to listen to this. It transported me back to my youth as I thought I was watching 'Jackanory' An excellent performance. Although if I'm honest, the excellent Bernard Cribbins still has the edge. He's still going strong and approaching his 92 birthday at the end of December.

True, in a small house in an Isan village were myself, my wife, the house family of husband, wife, 18 year old daughter, 10 year old son and a 2 year old girl. After a while the little girl got up from laying on the floor and walked out the door smiling at me as she went. After a while I was a bit concerned and asked where the little girl had gone. "What little girl" was the answer. Several minutes of conversation revealed that they had a daughter that died aged 2 many years before.
Chapeau, David! You're an exquisite story teller! You should write your own stories and, at least, once a month. I have no doubt that there's enough inspiration on miles of country side navigation and towns with centuries of traditions and generations that fade into the fog of time. I looked into Audible reading but the boat fails their recording quality standards due to the amount of extraneous noise (ducks!! etc)
