Thanks so much! This video gave me the confidence to take my laptop apart, it turned out to be very dusty - removing all the muck seems to have fixed all the problems I had been having with it!
Thanks for making this! I'm getting ready to replace the RAM in my out-of-warranty FX505DT, and it was really helpful to see how to take the motherboard out if I end up having to replace that, too.
Hi, you where talking about keyboard that pinned on the case. I replacement several keyboards like that at work, we cut those "don't know what it's called" nibbles with a small chisel tool where the keyboard is attched to. Replace the keyboard and use some glue where the cut nibbles where, need to be carefull though, or you are getting sticky keys and put that thing back together. It's hard to explain it in english, but it is possible to replace the keyboard without buying a new case with it.
Thank you for mentioning which screws went where. I had forgotten and panicked! (years ago I broke a laptop with a long screw in the wrong place). Happy with my new SSD and 32gb of RAM (505DT model)
Thank you your video helped me do my I needed upgrades as well as blow my brains out when I tried to take it apart to fix the sticky space bar because I spilled a little soda on it😂
what ram is that. im looking to run it dual channel and not sure if using a different brand of the same speed is a good idea. NVM as long as the size and speed are the same. It shouldn't matter unless the ram is DOA
i got same laptop, that thing bit left from the middle that has round sort of little battery one end is loose from motherboard and its not turning on, can i fix it on my own or send to repair sho
Sorry kinda late, but what size the screwdriver you use? I'm trying to open my laptop but it seems no screwdriver in my house that can open it. No grip.
Nice video! , I have one problem, when i power on the laptop o can see the Asus icon and the loading circle but when the screen change to the logon scene, the screen turns black and i cant do nothing. @UberGeeks how would I replace my 3.5 mm audio jack? It does send signal to headphones but need to connect and disconnect couple of time. I suspect one of the pins is bent. Also, windows doesnt recognise new devices when I use headphones. However, it is not a software issue as my mouse and USB drive gets recognised instantly... Any advice would be appreciated.
Can i replace the screen/lcd only? Seems like my screen gave up, it’s flickering at the bottom only but internet says either the cable is damaged or i have to get the screen replace. What would you recommend first? Any help is appreciated
@@hyadalko46 It was due to the frame rates. My laptop is 120hz i had to download a program custom resolution utility(CRU) and set my frames to 110hz and it solved the issue. It's 10hz drop in performance but eh its barely noticeable and solves the issue for free. Look up to how to custom resolutin using CRU and follow the guide.
