- I am not a professional ‼️ I only recorded to have something to post on my channel and also if someone wanted the same color.
Products used:
4 boxes of L’Oréal Highcolor Highlights Copper
40 volume developer
Mixing bowl (Empty Bleach Container)
Gloves
Plastic cap
Dye brush
Duck clips
Denman brush

Its because you started at your roots and they process quicker! Try to do the ends first next time. It still came out super cute tho!! 😍

I was about to say this ... I always do my ends first and let it sit for like 15 mins then I go back and do my roots and let sit for another 15 mins so I won't have hot roots

You’re welcome, you don’t have to bleach your hair. L’Oréal has a lot of different colors that will lift your hair without bleaching.

I wouldn’t know, I wasn’t able to keep the dye in my hair long enough. I dyed my hair back black, but the more I wash my hair, I can still see strands of Ginger in my hair.

I was thinking about using the 20 developer is that okay to use ? & when you dye it do you do it with dirty hair or clean hair ??
my hair is literally just like yours, my roots are just orange and the rest of my hair is burgundy (I added paprika dye to the 613 blonde) How could i fix without bleaching? 😩

Did you have any damage by going right back over that color the same day? I thought you had to wait 4 to 6 weeks.
I don’t know about natural hair, I just go with the flow with my hair. Maybe I did need to wait 4-6 weeks, but I wouldn’t know. I just be trying stuff with my hair. It didn’t look like it was damaged to me, my hair may be damaged, but it’s still growing, and my curls still look good.
I have real black hair i always do blonde first than when i go back and do red it comes out way better and red as you want it baby ❤

My hair wasn’t this color long, so I still use 1 or 1b.

How did it go? Did it cause any damage
Did you color your hair previously? If so maybe the roots are virgin and the rest is reacting to old color processing
If it was reacting to old color, it should’ve been lighter. My hair has been blonde, but it’s back black for military reasons.
The reason why your roots lifted lighter is because of your body heat. When you dye it again try putting foil only on the ends and do the ends first.
This video is over a year old. My hair probably won’t be that color ever again lol

Did u use only developer and dye or did h use something else with it because I seen you put the dye in a separate container and I’m not sure if that’s empty
I only used dye and developer and I mixed it in an empty bleach container.
If you mix dye, bleach, and developer, I’m sure it would make someone’s hair fall out.

You should start at the ends first but did you previously die your hair brown or black? could be a reason, but I love them both ways 💜💜💜

Your ends aren’t virgin if you tried to bleach them before it won’t lift color that’s already deposited. I like the reverse gradient though

How long does it last?
I wouldn’t know, I’m military, I had to dye my hair back black within 2 months of having my hair Ginger. The color still looked really good 2 months in.

You mean coming back and dying it again? Idk, my hair is fine to me, it’s still long and healthy.
It can damage your hair, developer is an ingredient inside bleach it does the same exact thing
If I use 20 will it work?
I’m not sure, I’ve never used 20.
The Developer is bleach, you can't lift your hair color without it. The only thing you can do without bleaching your hair is to add a tent to it. In which it's called depositing color. Lemon juice is another way, but I've never tried it and don't know how long that would take.

Hey girl I noticed you’re in the army too, did you run into issues with regulations? I’m in the process of coloring my hair this weekend. I already lifted my hair to about 4 levels its like a honey blonde right now and then I’m gonna apply the color.
I didn’t attempt, my hair is back black. When I get bored I color my hair, sometimes I have even cut it, but I know my unit and they wouldn’t have paid me. I only wore it once in uniform around people that weren’t in my unit.
But they have the new regs, so you may be able to get away with it at your unit.
Ooooh ok ok, yeah the new regs are out now. I did ask an NCO from my command team and she said as long as it’s not brassy 🤷🏽♀️ we’ll see lol. Thank you!

The ends didn’t take because that was already processed hair because u said you tried to bleach it before.. the roots took because that’s new growth so virgin hair that has not been touched. This same thing happened to me.. but if you used the color oops dye on your entire head… it would have stripped ur hair to its natural state and it all would have took…

I’m using a cleaned bleach container. I keep the containers after I get done with them, clean them out and use them to mix dyes in.
You guys know that those tubes has a cap and that cap has pointed part where you can open your hair dye 🤷🏽♀️

Ima go to the salon, I found out that box dye isnt good for natural hair anyways. It's not terrible tho. Just do tour roots last next time for more evenness

in the title you said "ginger" but you used copper then you said "no bleach" developer is bleach you cant lift your natural black color without bleach.. its misleading but i love the color and also next time start at the bottom and do the roots last !
There are many different colors of Ginger. You can mix any tones you want to achieve the color you want. I used Copper to achieve the color Ginger I wanted. Thanks for the insight on how to dye my hair. I’m not a hair stylist, so I don’t really care how I do my hair.

Yes, since at the time, we couldn’t wear anything but our natural color in uniform, I had to dye it back black. It still has undertones of ginger in my hair, but it’s not bad. They have changed the regulation now for the military, I just don’t feel like dying it again.

The container was bleach that I used wayyyy before I recorded this video.
Only thing used was the dye and developer.
