- Hey guys as mentioned in my previous video, I am in the process of moving so bare with me for the uploads.
In this video my client has very thick 4C hair, after the dying process she had no damage done to her hair. So if your thinking about dying your hair using this method, this is your sign to just do it!
Shopping list:
5 boxes of Loreal HiColor Highlights in Copper
30 developer
Nexxus Color Assure Shampoo
Bambu Silicone Deep conditioner
Fantasia Heat Protectant
I’ve been getting asked this question a lot in the comments
I let the ends process for 10-12 minutes and then I went back and did the roots and left it on for about 30-35 minutes
What would you recommend from ppl with dyed ends but roots haven’t been dyed before?? I feel my roots take forever to take so I was curious if I should start there first then work down
@@miadavis8680 I would probably start with my roots too
The answer I was looking for 👌🏽
What does d you use again? Is it dye?
That's for sharing this. Question would you suggest letting the color sit 10-12 on ends first that are already colored?
So thick, beautiful, and copper. Looking to dye my hair a similar color. Thanks for showing us this!
❤️❤️❤️
I loveee what colour dye did you use
Tips for your silk press…
Use design essentials oats & henna & honey cream shampoo & there almond butter or rosemary mint conditioner then use the bamboo silk leave in conditioner for a heat protectant and depending on the client texture you can follow up with a silicone oil like chi or the design essential silk elements it’ll get the hair bone straight more body and shine.
No not almond because a lot of people have nut allergies
@@ceeceedior21 Well then they would have to use Common sense?✋🏾💀🌚
Whew I want YOU to do my hair 💀 you in Tx?
@@iriana_official162 exactly it’s your responsibility to let somebody know what you’re allergic to😭
@@ceeceedior21 and a lot of people don’t have allergies 😂😂 but that’s why people need to read ingredients before buying
For the people that was asking about comparing the color you dye your hair to weave, it's best if you know your going to be dying your hair soon to also buy you some 613 hair so when you do put the color on your hair you can also apply it to the weave as well so you want have to search around looking for a match to the color of your real hair. It makes thing's more simple for you😉
LMAOOOO WHEN SHE JUMPED FROM THE FLAT IRON😭😭💀💀
I love this color been trying to get my hair this color for a long time. Always failed. I’m allergic to this brand tried it too😩
Aww😩
Just use a different brand?
@@ceeceedior21 most brands have the same ingredients.
Maybe adorn
Doing this today thank you babe 🧡 hopefully it turn out as good as yours
Hope so🤞🏽🤞🏽
Girl it turned out perfect but had to re dye hair so I can get it the cooor of the hair I bought from the hair store
Wait a minute are you a professional??! Cuz if you are not you sure fooled me! Great job sis, that trim was bomb too😉😉
Lol thank you love!! 💜💜
im ab to do this color tonight!!! im so thankful for this video
Good luck!!💖
How did it turn out
@@phoebesanchez6646 it turned out soo good! it was my first time dying my hair and i followed her exact steps, the first time i dyed it it wasnt as vibrant as hers, it was more subtle. the second time i dyed it it was just as vibrant as hers and my hair isnt damaged or dry at all.
@@whoinvitedt That's awesome I've been meaning to take the leap for about six months just biting my nails thinking about it. Time to stop making them excuses. Wish you a great day hun

I keep coming back to this video😭 I’m doing mine this weekend
😂 good luck 🤞🏽
Omg same. And here I was thinking one box would be enough. (First time using a color besides soft black)
I loved how you trimmed the ends and made it look easy too. I am not there yet but Imma keep trying though.
Great job!!! Imma color mine that color too! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! 💗
How did your hair turn out?
FYE!!! HIcolor brand does have a little bleach in it!!
Most definitely doing it for my bday coming up
Good luck!
I want to do it so bad but I am scared if u was in the USA I would have been flighting to u lol but I am in the Uk 🇬🇧 no one to get mine done it look beautiful
Lol that’s so sweet! Thank you💜
This is so pretty even more pretty❤
Thank you🤍
The trim was soooo therapeutic 🥹.. I loved how you only cut off what was necessary 🤗✨
Very beautifully done 😇
Thank you so much❤️❤️
Why are these videos saying no bleach when a deloper is used....developer is peroxide aka bleach
bc you can’t dye dark hair without lightening it. developer is safer/less damaging than bleach
Peroxide is not a bleach but it is a lightening enhancer.
I just did some Google research and it says that hydrogen peroxide is a lightening bleach... so it is a bleach. It's primarily used in blonde hair dyes... You can't go blonde w/o bleaching your hair... therefore, peroxide is bleach, it looks like.
Girl no lmao you wrong
Developer and bleach are two different things. Developer comes in a bleaching kit, which includes bleacher powder and the developer. Developer used alone with color aids in lightening w/o bleach
This looks really good, I'd really like to dye my hair but am afraid because I have zero knowledge of how to take care of dyed hair
Yeah, I had to learn as I went along. Less heat and a lot of moisture helped me.
This came out so well and the color is amazing! Exactly what I want! Was her hair virgin? I rlly want to do this on mine but I’m afraid the color won’t stick bcs my hair has never been bleached or dyed
Yes she had virgin hair
❤
Looked amazing. But..applying to the roots how you did, you ended up missing some spots. How you flat ironed…piece by piece..that’s how you apply root color. So you don’t miss spots.
It’s sad bc L’Oréal hi color damages your hair so much yet I can’t stop using it I love the color it gives my natural hair but my scalp is always burning or sore and now after 2 year of using it I see a lot of shedding , just be careful cus nobody posts that’ part about this dye
Wow, yeah probably because of the consistent use of it. I can see why it would be damaging. The results are so good though!! From what I’ve seen a lot of people just follow up with adore for retouching the color or bleach their roots and just use the semi permanent to refresh the color
It’s because it actually does have Bleach in it…it’s just mixed into the color.
@@PiccoloVegeta97 yea it has bleach in it but if it’s consistent use then you’re over doing it hence the extra damage. A one time use shouldn’t damage your hair super much bc even at salons they lighten your hair but it’s not completely damaged in that one sitting you get what I’m saying? Like we know bleach damages hair, that’s not what I’m disputing. However excessive use is overkill for the hair - especially if at the salon they lifted the hell out of it for a fast process kinda deal.
@@spicytargaeryan tbh there is no alternative 😅. You can either bleach your hair at a low level w/ 20-30 developer. Or Just use L’Oréal HiColor Hilights since the color & lightener are in one component. BUT DONT use the L’Oréal back to back like every week. Let your hair go at least 3-5 weeks if you can. But there’s really no other way around lightening the roots when you have naturally dark hair, except a bleach bath or “natural” lightening method which I believe is baking soda & developer OR baking soda & water (I can’t remember rn I did it yearssss ago).
Im just on opinion tho, my mom is a cosmetologist. But you can ask someone whose licensed or knows about hair as well. Or anyone else can chime in their thoughts too, im only one person 😅.
I really really really like the hairstyle
Trying it right. Hope 😬 it comes out good
Woww this is really beautiful ,what a talent
Thank you! ❤️
Do you mix the developer with the hair dye first ? & what kind of dye did you use ? Loving the color thinking of going copper but don't know how to get the best results due to my hair being black 😏
Yes mix the developer with the dye, all the product details are in the description box💕
@shaleahjanae thank you beautiful 🩷
How much developer?
Great video saved me some time instead going to shop
I jumped straight to the end of the video. This color is really nice. But what did I miss? Why does her hair look unevenly choppy(scissor happy, my guess. You appear to have cut off most of her length) and fried? Was it even flat ironed?🤔 How strange that nobody mentioned in the comments how bad this silk press looks.
I apologize to the stylist but I want to give my honest opinion. I just wanted to know if anyone else sees what I see. Looks like a blow out but nothing more🧐
I was saying the same thing to be honest it looks more damaged. She got very scissor Happyyy and I don't like seeing that from people who do hair. It doesn't take all that at all. Unless she was going for a particular look🤷🏽 but that's definitely not a silk press. I wish she would've just did a roller set or rods. To enhance on her natural hair curl. But you right nobody said anything just saying it looked good🤔, I guess that's why half of these people in the comments result into getting a wig because they've never had there hair done outside the kitchen or somebody's living room🤷🏽. Not even trying to be funny just an honest observation!
thank you so much dear I needed this
how come you didn't use bleach i thought you had to for dark hair?
Can I get the same if I use the L’Oréal Hicolor ? They didn’t have anymore highlights when I went to get them.
love the colour! How long did you keep the dye on, both for the ends and then also for the roots?
12-14 minutes for the ends, 30 minutes for the roots.
@@shaleahjanae are you suppose to rinse the ends first then rinse the roots?
@@tonyas7169 No, you rinse it altogether at the end when the roots are done processing
@shaleahjanae did they sit under the dryer while the color was in?
@@shaleahjanae are the ends done after the roots or do u start approximately 15 before the roots? Also what would you suggest for someone with new growth?
please using the blower to comp the hair , is it only air u ar using or heat?
Since I had been dying black mine didn't take well. Only my roots and edges. I'll try again...
How long did you process for before touching up the roots and how long after you touched the roots?
The ends I let process for about 30 minutes then I went and did the roots and let it process for about 12-14 minutes
Thank you for clearing that up for me! This is actually the clearest video I’ve come across. 🎉
Do you have a step by step for beginners? I have virgin hair and don’t want to go to a salon because I’ve always done my own hair and salons are too expensive.
Yes, my very second video on my channel shows a more step by step tutorial
Not the baby girl running to and fro😁💕
Lol she always wants to be in the mix
What color hair dye do u got? On ur hair so beautiful
Whew I’m late but glad I’m here is this a rinse or permanent dye
Permanent
I love the color. What is the name of the dye?
All the details are in the description box!💕
Love the color and your hair😍
I've been looking for loc in this color what brand did you use its beautiful
Thank you! I used L’Oréal hicolor highlights
YOY ARE A GOD SEND

Thank you! 🤍
@@shaleahjanaewhat number did you use ?
If I use just the hicolor dye without a developer on my black hair is the color going to show
What if you have jet black on your ends from 6month ago . ? I’m trying to prevent bleaching as much as possible idk why I’m being told my hair will break off and to sign contract before I do it.. she saying I need virgin hair for it to be ok. I’ve already cut a lot of it off
Oh wow, I have heard to wait 6 months or more before re-dying your hair but it’s kinda risky regardless probably why she’s making you sign papers.
This is the color I wanted & I used that developer & that L’Oréal cooper & mine was much darker 😭
Same! I followed the exact same steps and mine came out a pretty color, but not THE color. I guess everyone’s hair “takes” color differently.
Might require more than one dye session for some hair mine doesn’t take easily too color either
how long did you let the dye set after you put the shower cap on?
The first time I put the shower cap on I let the ends process for about 10-12 minutes & then the second time I left it on for 30 minutes
@@shaleahjanae thank you!! about to try this tonight!
@@chaastityy good luck!!

What developer did u use?
It has to be five boxes to achieve the color?
? How much of the 30 developer is used
How long did you leave the ends to process before adding the dye to the roots?
About 12-13 minutes
Omgggg it look so goood!
Thank you!❤️
Niceeee, my hair is currently faded in the ginger color but my new growth has came in so do i still regularly bleach my roots then apply this dye to all of my hair?
Hmm, I wouldn’t suggest dying your whole head again. You can dye your roots and probably touch up the color with a semi permanent like adore
@@shaleahjanae oops too late i already bleached my roots and put box dye all over my hair to red😭 it came out perfectly tho and curls aren’t damaged
@@Alisaandreaaa 😂 well that’s a good thing!

I’m not a professional so I personally don’t know, sorry😢
Omg thank you ! It looks so good :)
How long does it last. Do hair break after a few weeks/months ?
Probably like 4-8 weeks with the vibrant color but it also depends on how often you wash it. My hair became really dry within a month or so. The less heat you use the better
Okay so this is my dilemma! This color is gorgeous, and I recently got my hair dyed kinda this color two months ago and I want to touch it up myself. Ik I shouldn’t use developer all over again, what shade of adore’s semi permanent would you recommend to get the color in the video?
I believe I’ve seen people use Cajun spice and ginger
@@shaleahjanae thank you!

Just put the color on and let it sit, right?

Hey, Do you have a video of you mixing the products and the products that you used
Hi, yes I do. It’s my very second video on my channel🥰
Do you think this color will blend well with the #350 braiding hair?
Yes, when it’s fresh.
If I’m not a virgin head, but have cut most of my old color out and have reddish ends with brown dye on top of it would this work well?
I’m not a professional so I’m really not sure, but the color might take faster since it’s already some color on it
Did the box come with the developer or did you buy developer elsewhere? And if so when did you mix the developer?
No the developer is separate, my very second video on my channel is more in depth
Please where did you buy your locs from and what colour is it?
Thank you xx
The locs were from Amazon the link is in the description box under that video and I believe the color was #350

But do I mix it in with the color?
Right
A lot of people don’t realize that developer is bleach. I heard you can use henna to get this color.
Hi i was wondering how much different would be light auburn color from copper coz they both look similar and I bought auburn same brand. Can u pls describe the difference thanks 🙏
I’m not a professional hairstylist so I literally have no idea, sorry! 🥲
Sis I saw someone else use conditioner instead of 30 developer do you think that would work?
I definitely seen that too, it won’t hurt to try🤷🏽♀️
@Shaleah where did I go wrong, with type 2c hair 3 tubes of l'oreal high color copper and number 40 developer. Left it on 35 minutes and onlymy roots got brownish.😭😭😭
😂😂 did you let the ends process first and then do the roots or did you do the whole thing all at once?
Did you have previous hair color? Thats the only way it wouldnt lift
If you've been dying with darker colors b4 like me that's why...
After dyeing your hair how long did it take for you to start braiding your hair again?
I braided it like the next month, bad idea though
