Falling In Reverse and Ronnie never ceases to amaze me. While I’m not familiar with the original, and I will as you suggested will go listen to it, this was very powerful it got me in the feels! Yes especially in a time that I am having some heavy personal struggles. Thank you so much for this Tauri.. this was epic.
It's funny how you mentioned this made you think of a superhero movie, because the CGI in this **music video** was better than the CGI in any of the recent superhero releases. The arrangement is truly amazing, though, and I defy anyone who says that screaming doesn't belong in music. Ronnie's screaming in this elevates the entire emotion of this music to heights not achievable with singing alone, and I say this as a classically trained singer who also enjoys a good opera performance from time to time. Indeed, I think incorporating the harsh vocals found in other styles at the right times can be _very_ effective for whatever emotion the performer is going for at the moment. I think Hope Lies Within's take on Franz Schubert's "Erlkönig" uses screaming in a song that otherwise uses clean singing to excellent effect at the most important moment in Göthe's famous poem. I love the ocean, and plan to get a tattoo similar to yours (from what I can see) once I finish my video game sleeve that has been in progress for going on 10 years lol. I'm currently working on getting a character or symbol from all the games that reflect a certain point of my life or have impacted my life in some significant way. After that, my left arm will be dedicated to my family, through a nautical theme. I also just want to say that I enjoy your reactions more than most, because of your general taste in music and genuine nature. I always look forward to more

I love this because now you have the iconic Papa Roach's version the nostalgic rock sound from 20+yrs ago and now Ronnie has it to were we can now listen to it in a different way. Punk rock version vs orchestrated version i love it. Definitely brings the lyrics upfront and hits in the feels better. Definitely love both now.

Wow... about halfway through. Riveted. "losing my mind," as the buildings crumble. What a fantastic visual match to the lyrics and vocals.... During the "quiet" section, the brief shot of the cellist with tears streaming down her face was incredible.... I think Ronnie gives the text the right, worthy framework. The Papa Roach version is too rocky for the seriousness of the lyrics. That's exactly what Ronnie gets from this song, the pain and the struggle with and against evil thoughts. I keep hearing this song and it always gives me goosebumps. Surely only people who have psychological problems and fight against their demons on a daily basis can understand this. How often her world collapses and threatens to bury her. How many times do you think, "I can't go on like this" and fight your way out, only to find, over and over again, "Nothing's okay". But they still fight on every day. They resist to be buried under their collapsing world. The sad thing is that too many people lose this battle, ultimately running out of strength and being buried under their collapsing world.
